Pleeeaaaasse keep it going. 'eavy metal is only one style but it is so so hard to find a really high end tutorial on it and this looks just amazing. Fantastic work!
Absolutely spectacular job, my wife and I were amazed. I’ve been trying to paint the black ork blood bowl team I got in the box, and this video is the bomb.
I really hope this channel will stay up as long as possible. So much to learn, tau, dark eldar, orks, magic effects and swords, different skin tones, oh my... Best of luck mate, all tutorials will be most welcomed.
Hands down may favour ork skin of all time! Would love to see the rest of the mini completed. Also the squig from the Kill Rig would be amazing to see how to achieve the box art. Love the channel, keep up the amazing work 👍🏼
this is amazing! really easy to follow and a nice demonstration of the techniques you hear so much talk about. Always loved the 'eavy metal style and im glad you're here to teach it
Just wanted to say I love this walk through. Even though I'm only able to get it kinda similar due to my brush handling skills, this video has helped me grow so much and I finally have an ork skin recipe I like.
I've just done a Nob using this technique. I learnt so much in just one miniature and the result is amazing. Thank you so much mate ! This is top quality content !
I used this to paint a Night Goblin Warboss for my brother as a birthday gift. I had to simplify it a bit because it's an old sculpt and so there's just not enough detail to use every step but i was really pleased with the result and my brother loves it. Thanks!
The best ork skin video I’ve seen and I watched a lot. I would love to see the whole model completed. I would also like to know how to would shorten your Ork skin style for large batch paint. Again great video! Thanks!
Well that was fantastic - not sure why I’ve not had you show up in my UA-cam feed before but WOW loved it. Tutorial was easy to follow, and makes me want to paint your some Orcs. Thanks again and I’m now subbed, so going to see what other fun vids you’ve done 😃
Ive used your tutorial for tau armour on my entire 3k tau army. It took me....months and months. Now im looking at orruks for sigmar and once again your tutorial for the skin is just so incredibly good. Time to have a very orruky year for me then!
I've always been frustrated that GW doesn't show exactly how they paint their models. I've come up with my own mix for ork skin that gets pretty close to the skin shown here, but it is amazing to see the person who literally did it show how to do it! You've shown off simple little things that I can use to modify my formula for a better looking end product! (I tend to use more layers, which obviously starts to cloud up details) Thank you so much!
That tutorial is great, man. It's really cool to have such an indepth Ork Skin tutorial from someone who has painted a lot of them. This was exactly what I needed to see. Would be cool to see a one for Gloomspite Gitz skin as well, if that's something you'd be into painting? Some of the Squigg-related stuff specifically, as would love to see how you do the red as well. PS: I imagine the Gobbos would be darker and more blue/green than yellow/green.
This was extremely helpful I've been struggling to achieve that Eavy Metal Ork Skin look. I'm excited to take another crack at it with this information.
I've painted 50 orks now, and they look so cool. Thank you for the tutorial, it's hard to follow as I'm not a patient man but I've used the pallet and many tips. You have a Godlike talent!
Amazing tutorial, I've been waiting to a video like this, even subscribing to warhammer+ in order to get a tutorial like this and you have it, thank you!
This looks amazing!! Makes some pro paintjobs look dull in comparison. Or maybe its because i love this clean look and vibrant colours... or maybe its both :D Congrats man!!
I bought Vallejo Model colors to match the Citadel ones you used because they are much more cheaper and are in drop bottles. I really love the style and your approach to paint the ork skin. I would love to see you painting an ork in heavy armor. Subscribed & liked. Keep up with the good work!
Awesome video. Thanks for coming down from on high to give us mere mortals a glimpse into what it takes to get box art stuff. Can you paint the rest of him? Please.
This will be exciting to try out. I'm a boring old traditionalist with my ork skin i.e. waaargh flesh, biel tan green shade, war boss green and then skarsnik highlights.
Very impressive, and really well explain . Congrats I will definitly keep an eye on this chanel Hope to see more that GW minis, but I accept the fact that this company rules on the hobby
Im thinking to get back to painting and playing WH 40k. Planning to get with orcs, this is one of the nicest work skin I found on the youtube !:) Hope you will show how to paint the rest
Awesome tutorial!! Also, not sure if its too late to ask this but I've been trying this out (with orruk flesh as the base) and the ogryn camo gets chalky when i use it thinned down too much. is there a way around this, i really admire how smooth your finish is on the skin!
Fantastic video, really informative! Mind if I ask if you watered down the mix using the base colour and contrast for shading, or did the contrast thin the mixture enough?
do you think this would a be a suitable recipe for doing Gobbo skin as well, or is it too light? I'm starting a mechanized Ork army and a Gloomspite Gitz army soon, so really trying to do all the research I can on Greenskin. I've not done either before, and it's something I really want to get into. I couldn't decide between the two, so a vehicle focussed 40k army and a Squigg focussed AoS it is (also I have always wanted to do some Night Gobbos, and do some really cool cave-bases for them) I guess if I am going to have both 40k Orks and AoS Cave Gobbos, then I'm going to want them to look different. Do you by any chance have any Goblin recipes on here, too?
Pleeeaaaasse keep it going. 'eavy metal is only one style but it is so so hard to find a really high end tutorial on it and this looks just amazing. Fantastic work!
Absolutely spectacular job, my wife and I were amazed. I’ve been trying to paint the black ork blood bowl team I got in the box, and this video is the bomb.
Metatron on 40k painting channel 😱 You now double hero for me 😅
The metatron has spread its wings
What an unexpected surprise seeing you here
2 years later and i still cannot give you enough thumbs up! this is awesome! thank you!
I would definitely love to see how you’d paint the armor and leather on this mini, love your work!
yeah, I'd love to see this finished TBH. I'm just getting into painting various Greenskin minis and all of this helps a lot.
ah he actually has finished it now.
ua-cam.com/video/Y5obdZqrS-I/v-deo.html
This video literally lifted me to a new level. Incredible! Thanks so much!
Love the recipe and palette view - really helps to see what consistency and blend your going for!
I really hope this channel will stay up as long as possible. So much to learn, tau, dark eldar, orks, magic effects and swords, different skin tones, oh my...
Best of luck mate, all tutorials will be most welcomed.
Fantastic video Pez!!! Clear instructions and the production quality is fantastic
Thank you so much for this, i have tried a few different Ork flesh tones and this is by far my favorite, ordering what i need to replicate this!
Hands down may favour ork skin of all time! Would love to see the rest of the mini completed. Also the squig from the Kill Rig would be amazing to see how to achieve the box art. Love the channel, keep up the amazing work 👍🏼
Love it! Some of the best looking Ork skin around and so glad to learn how it’s done! 🔥
This was great. For me Ork skin in eavy metal quality was one of the most expected videos ever.
THANK YOU! I've been hoping for this exact tutorial for years.
this is amazing! really easy to follow and a nice demonstration of the techniques you hear so much talk about. Always loved the 'eavy metal style and im glad you're here to teach it
You sir, have earned a sub. Genuinely the easiest to follow and in depth ‘Eavy Metal tutorial I’ve ever seen!
amazing job mate ! great brush control ! I like the whole video aspect - music, camera, commentary ! Keep up a great work
Liked and subscribed! This is the best guide I've watched on how to paint in this style, thanks I learnt a lot
100% would love to see the rest of ork. Would also love to see some Necron stuff 😁. Looks excellent!
Just wanted to say I love this walk through. Even though I'm only able to get it kinda similar due to my brush handling skills, this video has helped me grow so much and I finally have an ork skin recipe I like.
Holy shizzle! What an amazing channel I just found! This was an instant subscribe after watching Grey Knights armour and now this skin!
EDIT: Since testing this again the initial basecoat is in fact closer to 1 part Averland Yellow and 3 parts Skarsnik. Not 50/50 as stated.
For the past month I've been painting my kommandos and I noticed that I needs to add more Skarsnik.
Could you use Orruk flesh as a base and get pretty close?
I've just done a Nob using this technique. I learnt so much in just one miniature and the result is amazing. Thank you so much mate ! This is top quality content !
I'm glad the video was useful! Thanks for watching!
16.48 In the most natural way: 'So now that's done it's time to hilight the eye.'
Holy mother of all saints! Good luck everybody!
holy shit, so you painted these? beautiful work man, absolutely love it.
I used this to paint a Night Goblin Warboss for my brother as a birthday gift. I had to simplify it a bit because it's an old sculpt and so there's just not enough detail to use every step but i was really pleased with the result and my brother loves it. Thanks!
Legit id stop after 5:33 and be completely happy with that haha thanks so much for the video!
The best ork skin video I’ve seen and I watched a lot. I would love to see the whole model completed. I would also like to know how to would shorten your Ork skin style for large batch paint. Again great video! Thanks!

wow you got skills! think that's the fastest I've ever hit a sub button, really hope I get to see you finish the whole model
Another great video, look forward to your next one!
Thanks for the vid, definitely keen to see the next stages. I'd also love to see a video on the vehicles like the buggy right in the beginning!
Incredible! Thank you.
Ive used your tutorial for tau armour on my entire 3k tau army. It took me....months and months. Now im looking at orruks for sigmar and once again your tutorial for the skin is just so incredibly good. Time to have a very orruky year for me then!
This came out absolutely amazing, beautiful work and awesome video man! Keen to see more Ork work from you.
I've always been frustrated that GW doesn't show exactly how they paint their models. Fantastic video, thank you! Seems like no matter how thin i think my glazes need to be, the answer clearly is thinner!
That tutorial is great, man. It's really cool to have such an indepth Ork Skin tutorial from someone who has painted a lot of them. This was exactly what I needed to see.

Incredibly deep video, cheers for sharing your process!
Thanks for checking out the content Joe! didnt realise you had a yt so subbed there and will check out the vids, regards! - Dave.
This was extremely helpful I've been struggling to achieve that Eavy Metal Ork Skin look. I'm excited to take another crack at it with this information.
Cheers, thanks very much for posting this.
Amazing, would love to see how you do the back the shoulder and pants too! keep up the fantastic work!
I've painted 50 orks now, and they look so cool. Thank you for the tutorial, it's hard to follow as I'm not a patient man but I've used the pallet and many tips. You have a Godlike talent!
Thats very kind of you to say, It's not an ideal method for quick army painting but I'm glad you found it useful. Thankyou for watching!
Amazing tutorial, I've been waiting to a video like this, even subscribing to warhammer+ in order to get a tutorial like this and you have it, thank you!
Love it, keep your (w)orks up! would love to see more ork videos :)

Glad I could help!
@@InfernalBrush How could you speed up the process for army wide painting?
Really good job mate, you should be proud. :)
I love the Ork, but I always go with a much deeper, more forest green for my orks, I will definitely try this on a gobbo!
This is so good. Thanks for sharing.
This channel looks like a secret gem. Subscribed 👌
Daaaang ok I’m trying this! Great job 🔥🔥🔥
That was beautiful mate!
Awesome tutorial! Thanks!
now you just have 99 more orks to paint . great video you make painting to that level look so easy
Thank you for this fantastic video. I'm getting back into Orks and about to start painting so it can't at the perfect time 😁
Thank you so much for this tutorial !
Epic video bro keep them coming
I want the black templar tutorial!!
I bought Vallejo Model colors to match the Citadel ones you used because they are much more cheaper and are in drop bottles. I really love the style and your approach to paint the ork skin. I would love to see you painting an ork in heavy armor. Subscribed & liked.
Keep up with the good work!
Thank you! I'm sure there will be more Ork videos in the future, it's my favourite faction!
@@InfernalBrush Mine too! Can't wait for more of the boyz ;)
I’d love to see a glazed tyranid that does not involve dipping the entire mini in oil based paint. I’d love to see how you approach tyranids.
your channel is incredible! thanks for this!
This is outstanding
Awesome video. Thanks for coming down from on high to give us mere mortals a glimpse into what it takes to get box art stuff. Can you paint the rest of him? Please.
Amazing work 👏 would love like others to see how the rest of the model is painted 🎨
Thanks for the recipe ;)
Amazing video.
Many thanks for this video! I’m just about to start my kommando kill team. Just ran out and grabbed some glazing medium. Wish me luck!!
Just for anyone struggling with this mix and not getting a vibrant colour, try Orruk Flesh 4-1 Yirel Yellow. It was DEAD on
This will be exciting to try out. I'm a boring old traditionalist with my ork skin i.e. waaargh flesh, biel tan green shade, war boss green and then skarsnik highlights.
WOW !! plz give me more !! great job
Very impressive, and really well explain . Congrats
I will definitly keep an eye on this chanel
Hope to see more that GW minis, but I accept the fact that this company rules on the hobby
I would really love to see a video like this covering how you would tackle salamanders armour.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Amazing work, woukd love any tips you have for painting faster or saving time doing space marines👍
Excellent result!!!an amazing orc! Although I don't like orcs, but the video was worth watching😀
beautiful work!
Thank you!
I love Orks. And I’m gonna say it. Squats rule!!!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks for watching!
That's insane!
wow. please do a tutorial on different human/or unhuman skins, this orkskin is amazing.
Thanks! it's on the agenda soon.
Another great video. Any chance of doing the dirty white armour, and leather?
Amazing.
Im thinking to get back to painting and playing WH 40k. Planning to get with orcs, this is one of the nicest work skin I found on the youtube !:) Hope you will show how to paint the rest
And I thought Juan Hidalgo patinting channel put a lot of focus on lighting haha. Great job, mate!
Thanks!
just woaaaaaaa epic nice flesh , u have gold-hands
Amazing vid! Top tier and the best I've seen 🤩 would you consider doing a squig skin vid? I'm really struggling with that red skin 😅
Will you be revisiting orc skin by doing the new old world models? I'd be really excited to see that
Thank you. It's really looking great! Even if it is hard to watch you licking your brush all the time. 😅
Aweome video! What brushes do you use? Mine always seem to go to crap despite my care 😅
please do finish the mini, it's awsome
Awesome tutorial!! Also, not sure if its too late to ask this but I've been trying this out (with orruk flesh as the base) and the ogryn camo gets chalky when i use it thinned down too much. is there a way around this, i really admire how smooth your finish is on the skin!
Fantastic video, really informative!
Mind if I ask if you watered down the mix using the base colour and contrast for shading, or did the contrast thin the mixture enough?
The contrast paint should thin it enough. When lining it in for the deep shade you might have to add water though!
do you think this would a be a suitable recipe for doing Gobbo skin as well, or is it too light? I'm starting a mechanized Ork army and a Gloomspite Gitz army soon, so really trying to do all the research I can on Greenskin.
