  • Here's how I've figured out how to get a beautifully, moisturized bantu knot out on my coily-kinky natural hair!
There are so many videos on how to do it on loose-textured hair when A LOT of us have tightly curled/coiled/kinky and thick textures. So here's a safe way to get the style for OUR hair! PLUS A GIVEAWAY!

    My hair color:
This a custom color job, created by a stylist at a salon, using a professional system not available in beauty supply stores and which requires a valid cosmetology license to purchase--no I do not know the name. Custom colors cannot be recreated precisely, in fact the shade looks different on me every time she touches it up since she blends it up on the spot.
Bleach was not used. We have been lifting my hair lighter and lighter over time using developer (which is not bleach) since October of 2015. I will not post a video on how to color because I am not a licensed cosmetologist and I will not give directions on how to use chemicals that I do not have a good understanding of. If you'd like help with achieving this color, please consult a LICENSED professional who specializes in natural hair because coloring will alter your hair and can damage depending on your texture and the process.
    Thanks for watching!

definitely the best bantu knot tutorial I've seen! I like the way you did the side by sides and said what went wrong for you last time.
your comment at the end about a lot of people expecting something else from our knot out was spot on! yours looked perfect =)

I tried it and it didnt, but im going to try again.
or just get a perm rod set.
my ends were way to bushy and it came out as a wave rather than a curl, so gotta work on my knot technique!
      Thanks!

+Paris Monaco try twisting less tighter next time and put a little extra moisture on the ends to make sure they hold smooth

I absolutely love your hair. I am a bit older than you. This is actually my second time going natural. The first time I simply kept my hair in two-stranded twists and every now and then, mainly for special occasions I would twist it out. I never watched UA-cam videos. I didn't even know of all the UA-cam videos doing natural hair. I just discovered all of the naturalistas a few weeks ago and I simply love you all. I recently began practicing putting my twists on perm rods. I have also watched you place you natural hair on perm rods without twisting it first. I plan to practice that next week. I love how elastic, moist, and bouncy your hair it. Great job! You inspire me.

Thank you for showing the hit and the miss. That helps so much. I haven't had a perm since late 2010 however I dont have 6yrs worth of growth and length because I was wearing weaves and not taking carecare of my hair underneath. Now I've been weave-free...lol...for almost a year now. I enjoy getting to know my hair but the struggle is real! What Id like to do now is try different products to see what will work on my colored 4c hair so that I can get a better sense of what will work for me. Thanks for sharing and encouraging Daye!

My name is Julia, I'm 19 and I've been fully natural (no heat applied) for almost two years now! I'm currently out of the curling cream and deep conditioner that I used before on my Bantu knots and now I'm in search of a new product to use that will help keep my curls more defined, with a lot of body, bounce and the longevity of my curls! I know that after watching this video and using Daye's tips that are really helpful to me. See how bomb your curls look just makes want to win even more. I mean it really helped me realize why my curls didn't always come out the way I wanted them to. I love watching your videos they've really helped in the beginning stages of finding styles and even now!! 😍😍
