Yesssss Crys!!! A wet set will always be better than a dry set child!!!! I always do my Bantu knots and knot outs on wet hair!! Especially, when you 2 strand twist the sections first! It really gives you more volume, and stretch like you said! Great job sis!!!
I’ve always done my Bantu knots on wet hair. My tips: make sure the hair isn’t dripping wet, use light weight products and make sure the hair is 100% dry before taking them out.

Sometimes when I do Bantu knots, and I wear them overnight, I take them down in the morning and then it’s like they be loose and then I’ll be done wrapped them tightly and everything but they are still not curly like I want them to be. They look more like wavy instead of curly. And by the end of the day my hair is just puffy

I do a twist first too. That’s how my mom taught me. The way other people people with the fake twist is weird and it makes the knot itself look cute ... but the outcome is not it.
Exactly, this is actually my go to style. Regular twist outs doesn’t give me the volume I need so I take the 2 strand twists and create the knot - you can make a very versatile curl too depending on how big or small the knots are
I think since you did it on natural hair u shouldn’t had did a regular twist u should kept wrapping your hair around your finger as you do the Bantu knots . But still came out cute
