This lore accurate StarCraft. This fantastic… please no body play this on the ladder
I agree and thats why I play this style in almost every single TvZ haha, and also its super effective past 20 minutes because ppl are getting impatient and start taking terrible fights. But im only 3,9 k so what do I know
3:36 lowko clearly hasn't seen me play
Can confirm, have played with this person before when i thought i was bad at the game
7:39 lowko f-bomb extreme reverb
WOW LOWKO I THOUGHT THIS WAS FAMILY FRIENDLY?!!??!?!?! /s lol
If you see the name Spirit in an SC2 game, grab a cup of coffee.
Legit saw it and grabbed an iced coffee from the fridge along with a... Colorado cigarette 😁
Don't you mean a pot? 😁

Spirit buys a hundred CCs from the store. Spirit makes fifteen OCs, ten PFs, then gives clem and maru five. Gumiho steals eight while seral and reynor destroys nine each. how many original CCs does spirit have left?
zero. because Spirit's CCs are always right. 😏

Thanks Simon. I was on 20 hours of flights from SF to Bali, and this kept me thoroughly entertained to try and keep up with you. Keep up the great work.
Polish for "comand center explosion" is: eksplozja centrów dowodzenia. Where explosion means 'eksplozja', center means 'centrum' (plural 'centra' (biernik (of whom, of what)) 'centrów'), command means 'dowodzenie' (dopełniacz (of who, of what) 'dowodzenia')
I’m glad to see ‘stupid’ exists at the pro level
this*😂😂😂

Thanks for the video, Lowko. A fresh video, straight out of the oven. Glorious! ❤
I think that Spirit's mass command centre strategy could have worked if he had dumped the SCVs much much earlier, maxed out with a 170 supply army by minute 15, then just steamroll Reynor. That many command centres means he can easily survive off mule mining minerals alone. Zerg players obviously aren't going to expect that big an army and would likely crumble in a big attack just due to sheer numbers.
Instead, he barely used them for anything, didn't use nearly as many scans as he could have, and had wayyyyy too many SCVs for that many command centres.
Reynor was pretty greedy too and got maxed out by that time.
1:02:24 Polish word for "Command center" is "Centrum dowodzenia"
BOBR KURWA 😆
This first map and 16 bit are my current favorites. Love the pocket natural bases that allow for big macro games or Bly-style proxy hatch roach all-ins :D
Spirit's strategy in game 1 is so fresh :) never seen it. Flying it's building to regroup next to late bases is sooo cool
Spirit indeed built a wall and he made the Zergs pay for it.
Wait, Raynor?? Winning a serie? In this channel? WTF?
It's the classic "no rush 10 mins" agreement :)
Gotta love those Command Centers "morphing in" 😂
I honestly don't get how starcraft 2 players have widespread turret-phobia. Like starcraft 1, pro matches were constantly filled with tons of turrets and 'hard' pushes with Terrans making layers of bunkers and turrets to make advancing/retreating easier and protect siege tanks. Zerg spammed spore+sunken colonies everywhere to bog down + counter marine drops. When Flash was the best Starcraft 1 Terran player in the world, it was because almost every single game he had a ton of missile turrets and shut down ALL shuttle/drop attacks. He almost never had to rely on marines to rush back to defend, and could 100% commit to attacks.
In that mega long game, with even just 30 spore + spine crawlers the zerg player could have shut down all those marine drops and protected his bases. The terran player could have equally spammed engineering bays to slow down zerg rushes and funnel them into better defensive killzones. When the zerg has 10-15k+ minerals and still has undefended hatcheries I feel like they straight up deserve to lose.
One of the nicest "nice" in a while, whole sequence was hilarious for me.
This match is like lore accurate Zerg style vs lore accurate Terran style
10:05
HEY i'm playing that right now :D
This was like watching that league championship where they were celebrating every ward kill.
Reynor and Spirit… always a blast to watch these two.
Spirit should try this strategy when he has games like this or he knows by midgame that it's going the distance. When he goes mass CC he should play it as a TD game and then use half his CC energy to scan his opponents mineral lines and mass mule drop, effectively stealing opponents income and have roaming vision.
Swarm host buff idea to maybe make it relevant: the little bugs can attack air while flying to destination
I thought the video was gonna end after the first game, then I realised its was a best out of 5
"nice... oh Frick, ah FUUuu... NICEEEeee! “😅😅😅
83 minute best of 5 titled with 'tower defense' means grab your popcorn lol
44:08 that Hellion visited hell for 1 frame.
Indeed. Nice catch
24:40
funnily i double checked the math xD
Timberborn any good? Thought about getting it, not sure though. I'm not too big on intensive city builders if it's like that.
Totally agree with what you said around 33 mins, however I think if he'd looked at Swarm Hosts before getting to Hive, that could have worked well, only because he was so right he could have sacrificed them immediately if needed
Spoiler shield please!
This is what he "no rush 20 minutes" of every gold player dreams of. It's the pinnacle or that definition
Command center in Polish is Centrum dowodzenia
So its no that bad
Haven’t finished watching but 13:00 I think Reynor should have aggressively transferred all drones to mine out the available Terran bases as soon as he heard Spirit keenly endorse hard turtling. I actually don’t think I’ve really seen this strategy deployed- Reynor came close by taking the neutral bases but should be already depleting the Terran 6th that he took. Drones are cheap compared to how many minerals/gas they can deny an opponent if a base is allowed to mine any amount of time. Maybe make some extra nydus networks to silently transfer drones more quickly.
This first game is literally played like a campaign mission on Brutal difficulty.
lowko! keep inspiring me to get beat up on starcraft 2. Love TL Roadie
just makes me want to do the mineral drill lool
Spirit playing for the players and NOT for the win.
Just here to tell Lowko his math during casting was wrong. Not gonna tell him when that was though... Who knows if it really even happened :D
7:35 noice
😮😮 he repaired the banshees
You repeatedly said that Reynor should be sending drones to those side bases but maybe that's what Spirit's normal victims do. He lays down the hammer and takes the juicy drones as well as the base, knowing that his advance is worth it because you neglected mining out the next layer...
This video was 🎵niiiceeee 🎵
pretty sure neon violet square(s) used to be named blackpink after a kpop group but gsl forced them to rename it. some lore.
Blackpink is a different map actually but around the same time period and similar looking!
Game 1: Spirit spent maybe around 1.5 bases worth of minerals on command centers alone. That doesn't seem viable - maybe against less skilled players, but Reynor is no newb to these extended games where it ends up that every mineral patch matters.
Dude what. I having even finished this game but spirit brilliant. Think about how armies have to spread so much to protect the old mined out natural and Maine. Just moving most of the stuff is so smart
I think Winter posted this match and also called it tower defense.
The problem with this style is that yes, the top of players can deal with it, but the rest of mortals struggle
Spirit is playing the cranked up to 11 version of the last WoL mission
CC addiction it's real!
Polish words ended up with so few vowels b/c most were stolen.
I couldn't finish watching that last game, too much prolonged suffering lol
I love this game. Go freaking zerg.
19:56 In Diamond 3 ZvT pretty much every other game looks like that.
With that many command centers. He could get rid of all his workers and do all army.
Lore accurate Heart of The Swarm gameplay
Spirits win condition. Lose so many CCs that the Zerg start to question the death of the Terran CC and give up 😂
49:42 what supply depots? He has a million CCs already
Did you know an Italian can't talk if you hold their hands?
CC in polish would be "Centrum Dowodzenia"
Hi, were you able to play the new game that you mentioned would be available like an hour and a half after you started commenting on the series?
I guess the only real answer to this game is to add a "recycle" button to command centers.
I want build-able auto turrets, flame turrets or the Shrike turret on the bunker. Then I can play archon mode with Spirit and he can macro for me ;)
Somebody's been playing a lot of Age of Darkness
idea for planetary nerf, make them cost +1 supply
I think it was over at minute 5. Just waiting for the losing player to realize it.
Command center good unit
With that amount of CC in the lategame, no minerals, would it be worth to throw MULES at the enemy just to soak dmg?
Lore accurate TvZ lmao
Lore accurate ah game
Why does creep dissipation last longer than nuclear fallout? Asking for a friend...
60k+ worth mins just from trading with zerglings alone yeesh. He definitely could've gotten Swarm Hosts to end it sooner
So after the first game, you were basically saying Spirit was a 1 trick pony.
Big Game Hunters - no rush 20
Game 1 is what happens when an arrogant higher level player thinks his opponent is beneath him and just screws around. Then the game drags out and he has to actually struggle to finish it.
"tower defence"
"Only way to win"
*Reacts by EATING THE WHOLE FUCKING MAP*
Did reynor spend 35 mins showing spirit that max turtle greed won't win or spirit show reynor that he will need magic units to win
It’s honestly frustrating how many CC’s he is building.
Wouldn't swarmhost counter the tower defense strat?
This new strat is genius proceeds to lose 3-0 great title 😂
Give Zerg back out late game!
I counted 35 CCs
Wouldn't like 12 swarm hosts counter the turtle really easily?
If orbitals didn’t lift, yes
I think with a critical mass of marines in the right position they will shred the locusts before they can do any damage where as broodlords do damage when the broodling lands so they have guaranteed damage not to mention blord shoot faster swarmhosts have to be staggered or hidden behind terrain
Spirit decided to turn SC2 into a 4X game 😂 bros playing Stellaris
Thorplay.
Spirit is good but god he's so frustrating to watch
So many "comment centers", it's almost like he's building a troll-farm :p
42 CC from your count.
Ngl this gave me a pretty low opinion of Spirit. This didnt look like a series between two pros it looked like a mid level GM playing a hold out challenge against an actual pro. Please don't cast another series like this, it was awful.
40:20 32
Wild how op Zerg is this patch
Ain’t no way you just said that. Reynor had a 20 worker advantage nearly the whole time. He had faster upgrades and tech as well as map control. He mined so much more so much faster. His apm is also much higher but that is less important. And with all of those advantages it still took nearly an hour to beat a player that hardly ever left his side of the map. My man if anything is OP here it’s the Terran Turtle strat. It’s not but it feels like it
Sarcasm?
Haha, he thinks 16 plus 3 is 19.
I don’t know, I find this turtling style from spirit very boring to watch.
lol @ "Thor-play"

Don't just laugh one player in the whole video. Make other stuff.
