    You know what I love about you and the crew.....Its amazing how you go from all jokes and fun to shits about to get real and then back to jokes and fun at the flick of switch. Nothing better then watching a crew who love to work and have fun.

    So many people have said it before. But the crew you have and the teamwork they exhibit is second to none. Everyone there pulled their weight, was necessary to getting the goal accomplished, and had a great frickin attitude. You guys inspire me to be a better leader so I can have a crew like this too. Keep it up.

    There are 2 things I particularly loved with this...1) everyone looked out for everyone else's safety, all the time, really clearly, and 2) when that top popped off, Randy's first instinct was to check in with the rookie. Fine job, gentlemen. Keep up the excellent work. 🪵🪓👍🇦🇺

    Man I would have been tempted to harness in on that roof, falling off a roof will hurt just as bad as falling out of a tree. That architect was having a good time, I like the room that just hangs out over the driveway.

      Harness in to what? Honest question.

    • @55VickyV
      @55VickyV 27 днів тому

      Roofers are required to harness when working on a roof. So there must be a place to hook the harness to. I agree, it gave me heebie gebbies to watch them on that very high roof without protection.

    • @BrockYoung
      @BrockYoung 27 днів тому +3

      @@55VickyV There are almost never anchor points on residential roofs. On this one, there REALLY should be. Also, most residential roofers do not use fall protection, even though it is an OSHA requirement. In the cases where they do, it's commonly a temporary anchor point that gets removed at the end of construction.

    People always fuss about what something cost but then think everybody needs to make 20+ an hour to flip burgers or to stand and watch me check myself out at the store. I just understand then they also what a tip for everything. I was at a hotel recently that required you the valet park at $28 a day then they would stand there waiting for a tip for doing the job they are being paid to do. When I fixed customer’s truck I didn’t stand there looking for a tip. At a hotel in Denver I gave the guy a decent tip when we left because he was always very polite always offered advice and directions. He actually made our stay better so I thanked him with a tip. People never consider how much money it cost you to operate a manual labor type business. The tools to do such jobs are not cheap nor is the fact that you are in many ways putting your on the line every time you take a job. Being careful isn’t always possible or enough to protect you in every situation

    Yea , favors! 40 + years in the service business. Took me awhile to learn. Don't discount your work. Not a penny. You should actually be charging more. Especially if your schedule is pretty much full. You are in top 1% of professionals. And investment is huge. People that don't see that are jerks. Don't work for jerks. You are valuable and so is your family, safety and income.

    I enjoyed that! Another first class job - with just a slight heart in mouth moment topping out that last one which was always going to hinge towards the climber.
    Appreciate you talking candidly about the money - it's a secret on most channels - so $5k worth of rigging out and $140k chipper but with the winch at least you could cut back on the usual 6/8 groundsmen. Over here you rarely see a chipper bigger than 6" as we log the timber for firewood - we have to be extremely lean and mean or we'd starve!
