Question:
Aren’t the stock R18 blocks on good for around 300 whp?
I don’t know much about them yet and was curious where is the best place to find I find info on them is?
I would love to kswap mine as I have a K24z3, but I just don’t want to do too much work to it.
Not going to lie to you..but if you want to mod/boost an 8th Gen, you want to get an Si. R18 engines are not worth the effort to make minimal power and potentially break. I wouldn't even go through the hassle of k swapping a r18, just get an Si and start from there. I originally had a 8thgen with the r18 and sold it to get my Si and never looked back since.
I have to give you props on your video editing. You have background music playing however it does not interfere with you speaking audio. I can hear and understand you talking with ease. Most people have the background music so damn loud you can not hear anything that they are saying. Also I have a 08 si and I love mine. Anyways, keep up the good work!

Crazy thing is I just picked up a what I called the Mugen blue Civic si sedan for only 2500 bucks so there are still pretty good deals out there. I just picked up this car as of today a week ago.

@@FrancisD hopefully, looks like a perfect mix of fun and practicality and when turbo’d theyre real fast, theres some in fa5’s my area but im not an expert on buying used cars, what mileage is too high at this point? most for sale in my area range from $7-12k with 100-160k miles, im also thinking about a 9th gen but those are slightly more expensive and I feel like the 8th gen looks better
Anything over 120k(if going boost)and I'd just do a simple compression test on it to see the general health of the engine .. Anything under 110k I'd just go straight for turbo 😬.. If staying NA then even 200k wouldnt matter as much.. Granted there are some high mileage turbo cars out there too

I seen you daily this car and I have some questions and I want your input. So I’m thinking of making my turbo accord my daily, I know my motor can handle like 340hp stock I’m going to do arp headstuds and while I daily it it’ll be on a very reliable safe tune. I really want to make this my only car and drive it everywhere to work and back, literally make it my only car. I also live where it snows. My questions are does the weather affect the tune? Like in the cold weather will I need a tune, also would you recommend me dailying a turbo Honda if it’s a very healthy car with a good tune. And like I said I will really daily it, I will make it my only car
Tbh.. For 2 years my turbo civic was my only car lol. Had no problems driving the car cross country at all. If you have a good tune you will not need to get re-tuned for the change of weather. Only need a retune if you make changes to the cars setup. Only thing that changes with weather is heat soak in summer and more boost in winter 😬

Hey bro where do you recommend I get a turbo kit for my Honda Civic LX? And it’s automatic does that affect anything ? And what other parts would I get apart from the turbo kit . I would appreciate any help thank you
I'm honestly not sure for the r18 motor. I just know those motors are rather weak and will not last like a K series does when boosted.
Dont turbo an R18. I had one and it makes cool noises but goes no wheres tbh. And their weak , save up for an 8th gen si and go fbo or turbo
Go kraftwerks supercharger. You'll make good power to. Mine was making 258HP & 160 torque. Currently driving 2006 SI now. Hydroplane my R18.

Intake and exhaust, wheels and coils. Or short throw Shifter adapter and acuity shift Bushing to tighten up the gearbox

@@reignstir You can run an afr gauge even if you don't have a turbo. But you don't need it at all if you don't have a turbo.
@@FrancisD thank you for the response but the car is scheduled for a dyno this week, would it be easier for the tuner if i have afr gauge? or nah?
@@reignstir ehh.. He should b able to read the afr off his laptop.. Don't think that would be a problem at all.. Make sure your spark plugs are good tho.

All plug and play.. Everything you need comes included. If I remember correctly.. Only 1 wire needs to be spliced
Is there really a difference between lx,dx,and si?
Yes, the LX and DX are almost identical but the Si is like comparing a Lamborghini to a Prius. The Si has one of the best Honda engines.
Opinions about get a 08 civic, manual vs auto? In my city always have traffic and the manual i think can be very tired
for the manual after a while you dont even think about it
Depends.. If you have a stock clutch it will be very light and barely a bother.. If you have a heavy pressure plate with steel braided lines then yea it will be alot stiffer and not fun in traffic.. Mines is heavy but I don't mind it at all 😁
Just get the automatic. I don't see the point of a manual if there's no performance behind it.

What do you mean modify the front? As in like the front bumper? You can just get a 2009-2011 front bumper and it bolts right up to the 06-08 model
