The fact that nobody in this comment section has mentioned that you’re the OG owner! I’m 27 and ive owned my red FA5 for 3 years now and it breaks necks regularly whenever it’s not in storage. Keep up the good work brotha! Our cars are the last true k20’s🔥 💯 💔
Yeah im thinking thats the next tire i go with, these federal 595 RsRR are okay but spin bad on a 60 roll warmed up in the middle of summer. Thanks for commenting! What are you driving now?
Thanks for checking the video out! Thats awesome, i love me a good V8! My heart is with Hondas but love checking out what others build! Waiting for Abbys next video! Thanks again!
Ya know I knew that name looked familiar, I subbed and watched a lot of your videos on FB groups. I believe I may of saw the new owners brought it to Racealotgarages channel.
Do you like the current si? I’m looking at a used 23 but it’s at a ford dealership and they overpriced it since I can buy a 24 with zero miles for less than they are asking.
The new Si looks to be a great car! For me personally I like the K series motors. The K series is very easy to work on and can hold a lot of power. I will say the new 11th gen civic looks really nice compared to the 10th gen.
Yeah man 4:08 pulling it out from on top is way easier than doing it on your back I pulled my engine 3 times on my fa5 and removing the front end makes engine and transmission jobs easier
@@lumbearjack3722 I used OEM everything because big boy gears aren’t in my budget at the moment and I don’t mind doing the work if I break a gear here or there. GearX , M factory , Albins and PPG are some of the popular companies that make gear sets. Hope this helps.
Nice car! I use RE-71R for tires and they hook really good! Mine is supercharged tho so less power than you so i dont know how well your car would hook!
Thanks man! Supercharged Si is still just as fun! A friend of mine has one and it rips! Im going to sub to your channel as well! Your civic looks sweet ill check some videos out!
@@LouieLouGarage88 thanks man i appreciate it! Quick question if you have the time, i plan on turboing it in the next year or two, you clearly know more than i do, do you think i can just swap the supercharger with a turbo with all the mods i have, get a good tune and im good or i need supporting mods? Theres a video on my channel « supercharged k20 » where all my mods are listed! Maybe you can help me if you have the time! Thanks
Yes im always willing to lend a hand. Its a little more involved then just swapping them but assuming you have hondata, injectors, fuel pump and clutch your close. I will check out your video where you list what you have.I did look at a few quick videos and your car sounds awesome!@@SuperchargedFG2
Thanks man! Appreciate that! It depends on how mechanically inclined you are. I did buy a shop press to help me because some of the gears need to be pressed on and off. You can get away without using a press but its sketchy. I would say its more on the challenging side cause of everything involved and the amount of steps but not crazy difficult.
@@LouieLouGarage88 oh ok gotcha Mechanically I have a pretty good understanding I built my engine top to bottem ive just never opened up a transmission, aside from the shop press was there any other special tools machinery needed?
Depends on what your replacing. if your replacing the mainshaft you should measure your thrust clearance with the new main shaft. You would need a Dial indicator and a mainshaft thrust block tool in order to do that. @@fg2lou278
