    • @noorshah96
      @noorshah96  5 місяців тому +1

      Well mate!! The short answer is no, 166 wasn't enough 😅 the long answer is, that's just because I had gotten to drive a few cars with bigger engines etc. so outran the excitement pretty quick. And sold the Astra shortly after, have mostly BMWs now unfortunately 😅 (check other vids if interested)... but the advice to you is, if you're planning to keep the car for a while, it's defo worth getting it mapped and more important to have the dpf gutted and deleted + egr, if you can get away with it. It keeps the car breathing well and fresh air only. Keeping most of the usual trouble away.

    Hi ,
    Is the DPF has been fully removed or just deleted from the software??

    • @noorshah96
      @noorshah96  3 роки тому +1

      Hi, yes the dpf is removed physically as well. It was cut open, and a section equal to the diameter of the connecting exhaust pipes was hollowed out instead of the full dpf box to avoid the hollow box noise but still giving good exhaust flow. And it was deleted from the software as well.

      Agreed, but instead of 166.2, I'd say, it's never enough 😁. Few guys I know started from 200 to 280 to 300 to 500 now (not Vauxhall). But basically you always want more. Technically, I have never looked into the Astra deep enough to say what is the right way to go. I'd always go with a petrol and a bigger displacement engine if I'm chasing more power.

Some were a tad bit cheaper but it worked out the best for me here as it was a short drive. I personally would go for it as the dpfs can annoy the shit off you. Ring around and go to the cheapest is what I would do as they more or less do the same job. get everything done, stage 1 map, dpf, egr so you might get a good deal. Best of luck 👍🏾

      I personally wouldn't know what software to use to delete/switch off the egr (as of yet, but will be looking into it further) as I got it done by someone.
