It needs some switchable sway bars. That way you can have the best of both worlds; no body roll for faster turns, then when disengaged, you'll be able to get flex for crawling. I'm sure you guys could even make it switchable electrically or something, so it can be swapped between modes at the flick of a switch!
I think it would be simpler to have a spare mount for the sway bar link, mounted on a bearing, and change between sway bar on/off mode by unbolting it and rebolting it on the desired location
You guys really need to do a full size offroad build. Completely from scratch, something for Ethan to really showcase his fabrications skills. Like the power wheels but bigger!
In the Pacific Northwest (Idaho, Washington, Oregon) they're not common, but not rare. The snow and mountains require big vehicles to safely make it home. They're also fun to drive.
the broncos looking good, fantastic work on that custom lift, and those 43"s fill it out well, and it doesn't look goofy for how tall it is, but it definitely needs some sway bars, you don't want to roll her when driving.
It’s actually super simple to get them to prime up quick. Just hold a gas rag over the intake of the turbo (don’t let it get sucked into the turbo) after about 1 minute it’s fully bled
MY DAD HAD A 78 WITH THE SIDE WIND WINDOS THAT SLIDE ALL ORIGINAL IT WAS A PARK RANGERS TRUCK UP IN SONORA CA THAT THING WAS BEAUTIFUL TWO TONE METAL FLAKE BLUE WITH A SKY BLUE IN THE CENTER LOVE THEMM TRUCKS.
Looking forward to topless videos!! Hope you guys take advantage of the modular platform and build lots of custom tops. Cab cap, pop up camper top, soft top are all ones I rock and love
If you run a 12 valve out of diesel generally you have to go through quite a bit of steps to get it going again . But I have done it before by just putting fuel in the tank and using ether to get the engine going and get diesel back up to the engine . Lots of coughing and sputtering , but it'll eventually draw the diesel to where it needs to go . When I used to work in logging we had to start all our equipment that way every morning .
Looks like whistlindiesel monster max 2 with all that body roll. For real tho I already saw this thing on the trail after this upgrade and omg it looked like it would just flip over. Of course it won’t since you have so much weight down low on the axles but it looks so scary. It actually handled every trail very well. Great job guys. You guys Westin’s team and Lacey’s team all did a great job!!
My dad has a '79 Ford Ranger 250, swapped with a 460ci from a '78 Lincoln Continental, with a custom-made diamond plate dump and a diamond plate toolbox on each side. It's awesome! But the foot switch for the high/low beams is so cool. I wish my car had it too. 😂😂
The Bronco is a pretty good platform for a Cummins. I met a logger over in western Washington that had a 1991 Bronco and it was so nicely done it looked like it was ordered with a Cummins in it. He had little tires on it (33's).
On 12v Cummins crack the injection lines turn key on fuel shut down solenoid closed open fuel cap make sure to plug all fuel tank vents there will be a minimum one use a rag and blow with light pressure 10 ish psi (do not go full send ) till fuel comes out open lines bump it over 30 to 60° degrees repeat air pressure till fuel comes out all the lines tighten lines fire it up less than 15 mins
You men are incredibly interesting and definitely the best utube channel in my eyes , I often wish I were there as part of the team . I can't find the word's to describe my feelings about you guys. I'll just say that I love to live vicariously through your uploads ,. Thank you !!!
I changed a head gasket in my cummins two weeks ago and it blew again a few days ago. It's not easy changing those things out when you're old, disabled and solo lol. Now I got bigger problems to worry about.
Great video Westin's shop is like 15 miles from my place its awesome to see a good ol' kansas boi's build turn into a dream build like this one much props to everyone whos worked on this truck!
Those 20” military rims have a 2” tall bead seat for military style tires. Have to take the plasma to them and cut an inch off for the dot style tires you’re running
Can just put in stock size sway bars an leave them for wheeling and road driving ect. Will just help with some body roll but not keep it from flexing. Maybe lil more preload on springs may help
watched this whole series a few times, massive inspiration you guys did so good explain and showing us all the work I love! 3rd or 4th time watching this video alonee!
You know what they say about opinions... mine says "I would have run those hydraulic lines straight back into the frame area into a block, then dropped another line forward to the steering. You'd have almost zero flex then - plus you would not need to worry about trail debris grabbing hold of those lines and ripping them open." Nicely done though... can't wait for Champlain to beat the doggs out of it.
I knew it was headlights as soon as he said button on the floor. My friend's dad had a 77 3/4ton pickup and I remember asking about that button when I was a kid. I watched that guy tear that truck apart and rebuild it a few times. For a few years it only ran off 6 cylinders. He was a logger and ran that thing extreme off road so the truck took a beating and a half and still kept trudging along. He said he would own it the rest of his life. Im sure he never got rid of it.
My dad had one when I was a kid it leaned so much it was absolutely terrifying I mean I could ride in or on anything with a motor but the lean in that thing going around hills after just getting done climbing a hill always had my heart in my throat lol
Next time you have problems starting a diesel use silicone spray it still lubes the injectors and won’t hurt the engine like starting fluid you will never have a non starting diesel for more than 2 minutes!
very cool build , amazing fabrication and engineering ... to address the body roll "could you double the shocks" one on each side of the axle - you may have to offset or move the bump stop , not that the sway bar idea isn't good or better - just a thought ... p.s. you guys would be dangerous with a big comfortable heated , A/C shop 😆😆😆
After the "experiences" of this build, maybe a Wider version with a lower Center of Gravity Build using an AMC Pacer Body, Early 1970'sCamero or equivalent with a larger Engine Compartment... Definitely!
love the build guys just like all your others builds out of this world you guys are on another build level love it and keep up the good work love from the uk :)
I honestly thought this button on the floor was for cruise control. In Polish Fiat (Fiat 126p) we had those doing just that. But it was a little bit older of a car I guess :) That's a project idea! You could get one! It's smaller than an original Mini! (Mighty Car Mods drove one in Cuba if I remember correctly, and Tom Hanks received one).
Some Autofab fiberglass prerunner fenders would make that thing super sick. Or some f500 heavy truck fenders for the front. Then you could widen the axles with some wheel spacers. It still looks frickin awesome. I love your attention to detail even on things that don't get seen. Hope to one day see a build of yours at SEMA. Love your channel. Awesome 👍
Years ago a friend of my brothers borrowed my Dad's truck, a 1983 Dodge D150, and had to ask us how to turn on the headlights (Switch on the dash), the immediately called us back to ask how to turn on the high beams (Switch in the floor) haha!
So first of all… I have been waiting patiently for this video forever!!! That was a long week! And secondly that thing definitely needs some currie anti rocks or it will be on its lid in no time! Awesome build though like always good job!
Should we give away a truck next? Built BRZ Rally Car Giveaway www.grindhardplumbingco.com/
Not a fan of the brz build
@@ryanwatkins1821 seems like a hot take
i'd love to see a minijeep build giveaway!! or even one of the old builds!
Sure a truck would be cool but what would you do to make it a GHPC treasure?
The button is for brights
It needs some switchable sway bars.
That way you can have the best of both worlds; no body roll for faster turns, then when disengaged, you'll be able to get flex for crawling. I'm sure you guys could even make it switchable electrically or something, so it can be swapped between modes at the flick of a switch!
Quick connect swaybar links are great
or an antirock sway bar
I think it would be simpler to have a spare mount for the sway bar link, mounted on a bearing, and change between sway bar on/off mode by unbolting it and rebolting it on the desired location
I definitely said that when I seen it going around them turns thing look like it was about to tip but other than that great build as always ❤
You guys really need to do a full size offroad build. Completely from scratch, something for Ethan to really showcase his fabrications skills. Like the power wheels but bigger!
Don’t believe these comments! Always look for the check mark next to the name
Love how the idle sound perfectly transitions into the song @ 14:10
The floor dimmer switch content is valuable history for anyone younger than genXers. 🍻👍🏼
I started laughing when that came up...
As somebody from the UK this is what everyone thinks American cars look like
Honestly I see car on the road this big in Idaho... The rumors are true!
Friend of mine has a cummins swapped powerwagon rolling 37's. it's a huge thing.
@@Spirit_Lanayru that's amazing, wish we had stuff like this in the UK. But hey, we have some stuff that Americans don't
My 97 F250 is rolling on 38x15.50s. For certain parts of the country its fairly accurate
In the Pacific Northwest (Idaho, Washington, Oregon) they're not common, but not rare. The snow and mountains require big vehicles to safely make it home. They're also fun to drive.
You guys really deserve a big well equipped shop. You achieve so much in a tiny little shed, imagine what you could do with a big shop.
looks like you guys and WD are the kings of body roll now. looks so easy to flip over
the broncos looking good, fantastic work on that custom lift, and those 43"s fill it out well, and it doesn't look goofy for how tall it is, but it definitely needs some sway bars, you don't want to roll her when driving.
Oh my damn why!!!! Made me cry a little watching those cuts to the body. Made one hell of a Bronco nice build maybe best one yet
These guys are magicians. They make the toys I dreamt of as a kid. I love the channel, you guys are great.
It’s actually super simple to get them to prime up quick. Just hold a gas rag over the intake of the turbo (don’t let it get sucked into the turbo) after about 1 minute it’s fully bled
eBay decided to send us the truck back for some mudding and snow wheeling! 🎉

This whole entire series had me hoooooooked! Fukkin beast of a build.
5:55 I’m excited although I understand this isn’t exactly progress. Lets get this build done as well as possible 👌🏼

It turned out to be the perfect tire size, width, wheelbase, stance, and height right off the bat!!!😀👍

The button on the floor is your hi/low beam for your headlights, not flashers

Who wouldn’t be surprised to see a diff pillow in Ethan’s house next week? 😂😂😂
Would be a fitting addition to the bed of steel hexagon cutouts that he's already sleeping on
Hey you're the guy from the thing

& the bed frame on air bump stops?😅
Correct me if I’m wrong but that button on the floor was always high beam switch for headlights in my trucks.
Oh yeah both of you my favorite UA-camrs
It's the hi beam switch, miss those old school bits that are unique like that.
Wow guys your machines just get bigger and bigger. Amazing!
I changed a head gasket in my cummins two weeks ago and it blew again a few days ago. It's not easy changing those things out when you're old, disabled and solo lol. Now I got bigger problems to worry about.
You guys are champions - what a cool collab build!
Great video Westin's shop is like 15 miles from my place its awesome to see a good ol' kansas boi's build turn into a dream build like this one much props to everyone whos worked on this truck!

We have some great shorts coming out on this bronco soon!
Ethan sounds straight up exhausted the whole time!
This is my favorite year bronco. Beautiful truck.
This is just such a beast of a vehicle, like hydraulic steering!!!! That's wild
Such an interesting setup!
Giving an 👍👍👍 for the extra pretty parts that no one will ever see!
You guys are on a different level man! Love absolutely everything you guys do!
Ah, I remember the first time I seen a dimmer switch on the floor.. it was in the early 90's..I was playing in my parents van.
Yeah I definitely wouldn’t attempt a doughnut in that until you get some sway bars. Turned out great though!👍
That switch is for turning your bright lights on, flashes should be on the steering wheel!
I can’t believe Im 9 days late to a video like this that I’ve just been waiting on.
Always liked the dimmer switch on the floor.
Ethan proves once again that he is A Fabrication Jedi!
Can just put in stock size sway bars an leave them for wheeling and road driving ect. Will just help with some body roll but not keep it from flexing. Maybe lil more preload on springs may help
Leroy jenkins
HAHAH yes
truly a peak meme
Your truck is my uncle😂
Your truck is my uncle😂
watched this whole series a few times, massive inspiration you guys did so good explain and showing us all the work I love! 3rd or 4th time watching this video alonee!
The Bronco became a BEAST! 😳
And if you install a tick-tack fuel pump, it will be sooooo much easier to get diesel to the pump.👍
love and respect from Australia ,you fellas are the best
I did mechanical engineering in high school, I love building custom projects.
Very cool!
Keep an eye on those beadlocks. The internal rungs may not be wide enough for those tires. Military spec tires have thicker sidewalls.
I'm usually a Chevy guy but with the swap & upgrades, that's a badass setup
You know what they say about opinions... mine says "I would have run those hydraulic lines straight back into the frame area into a block, then dropped another line forward to the steering. Such a beast boys loved the series westerns a legend Lacy’s a weapon and you guys always smash it outa the park hope your all well cheers
That is 2 bad bronco build buddy love it. You should do more of these
"I know what's wrong with it... Ain't got no gas in it."
The button on the floor is for the bright and dim selector 😂
My dad had one when I was a kid it leaned so much it was absolutely terrifying I mean I could ride in or on anything with a motor but the lean in that thing going around hills after just getting done climbing a hill always had my heart in my throat lol
This gotta be my all time favorite build tbh
I don’t know how and why but your projects are always cool❤😍
Perfect combination of everything that makes the perfect mud truck 💪
I can't help but realize how much it looks like an rc crawler
First Red Bull I ever had was in Sandpoint, Idaho in 1998
Can't even get my truck to start!
This things a beast! 💪😎
Next time you have problems starting a diesel use silicone spray it still lubes the injectors and won’t hurt the engine like starting fluid you will never have a non starting diesel for more than 2 minutes!

Amazing! Real metal and an awesome motor.
Ethan is a legend!
High beams & low beams head lights 👌
The hill didn't even slow it down! What a unit!
Crazy how much work the one does and others watch.
the trim job on front qrt came out better than factory if you ask me but it wouldn't look right with factory size tires. All in all great job
Gotta add some more trinkets 😁
After the "experiences" of this build, maybe a Wider version with a lower Center of Gravity Build using an AMC Pacer Body, Early 1970'sCamero or equivalent with a larger Engine Compartment...
Definitely!
Love this thing, looks absolutely mad! I do agree it definitely needs a swaybar or something.
Man ford used that high beam setup for so many years. I think even my 71 ltd had it :)
I’d say that spare tire on the back is officially useless. 😂
love the build guys just like all your others builds out of this world you guys are on another build level love it and keep up the good work love from the uk :)

Get some currie anti rock off road sway bars that be sweet👍
They need to add this to snowrunner for console mods!! Haha
We need snow tracks for this!
You guys are beyond impressive. This is some insane content!
Awesome 👍
Bronco Brute! Looks great!
Legend has it they had to move the high beam switch back to the floor in California because they kept getting their foot stuck in the steering wheel.
That is an awesome build. Good job guys.
Years ago a friend of my brothers borrowed my Dad's truck, a 1983 Dodge D150, and had to ask us how to turn on the headlights (Switch on the dash), the immediately called us back to ask how to turn on the high beams (Switch in the floor) haha!
Red bull and jágermeister shots are the bomb
I can’t like this enough.
hey air in the sysytem! I tried to start an old volvo couple of weeks ago. it was a nightmare.
4:16 good for him. When I bought my truck it took me 30 minutes to figure out what it did. I didn’t want to look it up
You just built my dream truck. Thanks.
Love broncos and this one is beautiful. Awesome build guys. 🤟😎
I take offense to the Red Bull comment lol that stuff is amazing. It’s one of the flavors. I literally love in life
this thing looks just like my RC bronco, the oversized tires fit it so good
It needs a small rear sway bar to help the front end flex more
It’s nice to have all the money you could ever want to do projects.
So first of all… I have been waiting patiently for this video forever!!! That was a long week! And secondly that thing definitely needs some currie anti rocks or it will be on its lid in no time!
Awesome build though like always good job!
