We should try to catch ourselves when we're falling into the sunk cost fallacy. I fly back and forth between Europe and Asia, and in the last 24 years visited US twice: very disappointing place. (I visited much more between 70s-90s) He's right, everything is crumbling there compared to previous decades, and Singapore, Dubai, Budapest etc are much nicer places.
Most east Europe cities are far better and safer and cleaner.
Tucker is one of the few who tells the truth morally and ethically for that reason alone he is very patriotic American.

It’s because he’s a real and genuine person. He’s not reading a script anymore and even when he was, he wrote the dang thing. He has always been someone that hasn’t been afraid to think freely. That used to be a core American value. That’s how I was raised. I didn’t care for Tucker in his bow tie era, but Tucker post 2008 has been someone I have followed more and more and now I am a proud member of his own network.

To be in NATO you have to Apply. The application process is complex and requires the approval of all other NATO members as well as the applicant to meet NATO standards.
Russia, then and now, never met the criteria to join NATO.

Russia joining NATO may be a non-issue, though. It was disturbing that the US unilaterally withdrew from arms treaties with Russia. Russia apparently offered the US alternate logistics routes into Afghanistan in the early 2000s -- goodwill that was probably never returned. Even today, the state dept and DoD freely say, "our goal is to weaken Russia." Former chancellor Angela Merkel admitted that Ukraine-Russia Minsk talks were for Ukraine to strengthen militarily (they were not actually negotiating peace with Russia or the donbas).
Point is, Putin may be no angel, but the West constantly antagonizes Russia, even when ignoring its possible NATO membership. Why has it been necessary to constantly fight Russia, especially since the Soviet dissolution?

Tucker very regularly is accountable for his words and OPINIONS and acknowledges when he gets it wrong.
He very recently acknowledged getting ALOT wrong because his world view has changed based on facts and evidence that has come out over the years.
There is not one single "journalist" (paid actors) on any mainstream media outlet that is accountable when they get it wrong!
American media is nothing but a race baiting, hate baiting, fear mongering, divisive, ONE SIDED, dishonest, propaganda machine! Period.

When he is talking about obligation of the most powerfull country in the world and refers it to his two children that are fighting what is the right thing to do. That was.. Brilliant 👏👏👏👏
His point here is a bit contradictory, IMO. If 2 of America's states were fighting it would be terribly wrong not to stop it. Many of us, especially those more aligned with the right, are weary of the US acting as world police when it suits them.
For example, If 2 men down the street who have prevously threatened your well-being are fighting, maybe you aren't so quick to intervene. Maybe as a father it's in your family's best interests if one or each of these men are weakened or elimated by their own conflict.
I'm not saying the US should not take the chance to stop a war if given one, in fact I think the US probably should have helped end this war between Russia and Ukraine. My point is just that his analogy as America as the global father, while powerful, is not so brilliant when I think a little deeper about it.

I just meant to point out that to say the US is to the world what a father is to a family, and to imply that Russia and the Ukraine are like children or family members to control is not a wise analogy. If the US were actually a father to the globe, in this case it might be in its best interest to do what it can to stop or injure Russia, to your point.

lol this was the best interviewer they could find? It's nice to see Tucker hold back and not just destroy him with facts. It's glorious and extremely sad at the same time. Its also a perfect example of how ego is more important than facts or truth.
Can we all please realize that Tucker is the ONLY reporter to openly admit he is/was wrong. Further to that he goes to extreme lengths to explain how he believes he was wrong, why, and why he has changed lanes. For the TRUTH, that's why. If journalist can't change their ideas, their ideals and views, there is no news, there is no truth.
