If I were alliance, then I would play dwarf, for their lore, for awesome starting zone and for afking in Irongofrge just to hear this super nostalgic song
***** Or he could be referring to the rest of Dun Morogh. Which is.. - Kill some yetis - Alert some Dwarves - Kill some Trolls - Steal some troll's plant for booze. - Kill some trolls.. - Free Dwarves from tentacles. - Talk to some gnome. - Get launched into the air. - Die from parachute failure. - Kill some trolls. - Protect a ranch from Trolls. - Practice your flirtatious whistle on some rams. - Kill some Troggs. - Collect Trogg clothing. - Collect Trogg runes. - Kill Water Elementals. - Free frozen Dwarves. - Kill some Dwarves. - Fly to the Airport. - Kill more dwarves. - Plant banners into the ground. - Bomb some dwarves. - Kill the leader of the evil Dwarves. - Go to Ironforge. - Arrest diplomat of the evil dwarves. - Run to Loch Modan. - Spend the next hour fondling Troggs for teeth.
I remember I met a lvl 31 hunter who help me do a few quests back in early bc, and when it was time to move from loch modan to wetlands he escorted me, and through the pass to the north I looked up in the mountains and saw the ironforge balconies (like the ones in the pictures above) and for some reason I knew I wanted to play this game for the rest of my life.
This is the music World of Warcraft has picked for the players.. When we begin to doubt it; It comes right back wih this music to make everybody proud! It's the music of strength and honor. And when we forget these lessons, they come back to us in different forms! Songs, games, heck even when people talk! Listen.. You might actually learn..
Best new quote in WoW is Bronzebeards in Ironforge "Welcome to our home beneath the mountain." The way he says it and with this music playing I get chills every single time...
Being in the entrance of Grim Batol, watching the mountains with the sun behind hearing this theme is one of the best feelings WoW ever gave me, it's just superb!
During a quest in the Southern Barrens you board a plane with the Dwarf Marley Twinbraid, as he shows you around Bael Modan he explains how proud of it he is, seeing as it was the first Dwarven base in Kalimdor. Sadly, as you fly around Bael Modan you are shot down, and you crash into the sand 40 feet below. Marley is slumped over the controls of the plane and his dying words are: "Ale...must have...ale..." 0:50 - 1:50 ...that's distinctly what I remember hearing when he died. It was sad =(
Spoken truly like somebody who has never experienced war. There's nothing good or glorious about it. People die in war, and then they don't come back. War is hasty, reckless, thoughtless, and terrifying, no matter who you are or how courageous you think you'll be. Peace is always preferable. Especially when you have other people counting on you to be alive.
Perhaps not playing, but all of us still remember Magni, Muradin and all the great dwarves in the history of Azeroth. We remember the great city of Ironforge, the snow of Dun Morogh and the of course the taste of a mug of thunderbrew. As long as their's a single snowflake in the mountains and a drop of ale in our throats, the legacy of Khaz'Modan will live on.
For our fallen King Magni, may you watch over us from the heart of the mountain. FOR KHAZ MODAN! Heavy PvP and RP player here, really love the changes they have made. Hats off Blizzard.
Out of all the alliance races, it is the dwarves i love the most, even though im horde. Magni, from the earth you came and to the earth you return, may your path back to your people be an swift one.
"Sons of Bronzebeard, hear me now! These are dark times for us, but our bretheren shall not be abandoned! If you have the will to fight, rise against the dark tides that walk over our land! The Aspect of Death mocks us.. Let us show how we return the favor! Fight for Freedom, Fight for Ironforge.. Fight, FOR KHAZ MODAN!"
An Orc does not feel fear in the face of his enemy. He meets him with hate and drives his ire into every strike. To an Orc peace is weakness. And it is only in the fires of conflict that strength may be garnered.
Absolutely amazing. First time I heard this, chills ran down my spine? Why couldn't this be the login screen music? I'd be logging on every single day.
Ulduar music played with the old Ironforge style/instrument, adds a deeper, more tragic tone to it. Blizz invited a lot of its own musicians back, including those worked on WC3's songs, to create the cata mix, symbolizes a home that's no longer familiar to most.
@NeoTodesklingel Well, that's half the story. Grim Batol used to be another "Ironforge" inhabited by the Wildhammers, but the Wildhammers were forced out by a Dark Iron curse. The Horde moved in during the Second War and did the whole Alexstrasza thing. Besides, this plays in Ironforge too, at the Great Forge.
You can hear a part from the Antechamber of Ulduar at 0:29, which is a epic masterpiece combined with Ironforge's atmosphere and history. Can barely wait for Cata!
dwarves are creations of the titans so the ulduar music fits their style, it reminds me of the scene in the 1st LoTR movie when they enter the halls of moria, i always loved that scene
Times are changing. However, the might and honor of Magni and the dwarven race lives on; even in their Dark Iron cousins. Iron Forge is being reborn in the very fires that created it, and so are it's people. I love this song because it, in so many ways, emphasized just that.
feels very Conan which is of course awesomely epic. I bet all dwarfs from Gimli to Bruenor would be proud to have these sounds echoed thew the halls of there kin.
@BlameTheDiscPriest The dark Iron dwarves split up into 2 factions: 1 with Moira heading back to IF and one who joins the twilight's hammer cult. Ironforge itself will be reigned by the council of the 3 hammers including Muradin Bronzebeard for the IF dwarves, Moira Bronzebeard for the Dark Iron dwarves and Kudran Wildhammer for the Wildhammer dwarves.
@FishizzleBoy Khaz Modan is a mountainous continent and kingdom of the Eastern Kingdoms. It is the home of the Ironforge Clan which is ruled by the Bronzebeard Clan. The dwarven kingdom was founded after the awakened dwarves ventured out from the ancient city of Uldaman. The continent was named the "Mountain/Mountains of Khaz" after the Titan shaper Khaz'goroth, thought to be the creator of the dwarven race. The mountains here are also called the Khaz Mountains.
I've been a Horde player for years and I still like the dwarves. Who doesn't like a race of beer-swilling, axe-wielding, scottish fellows with epic beards?!
Nice upgrade with the music in Ironforge too and btw i play Draenei shaman cuz they look neat and when cata comes i will rolla Worgen because they are badass:P
Varok Saurfang was at the helm during the sacking of Stormwind!!! His redemption, like with Grom, was fueled solely by a lust for revenge towards Mannoroth, It doesn't deviate at all. People just refuse to see it that way because they have their own wishes for what the Horde should stand for...
I have never played a dwarf, but I'm rolling dwarf shaman in cata, quite a change after all those night elves and draenei :P Love this one, it's like they're recycling Ulduar music, but it's so awesome... adds so much deep for dwarves, not just getting drunk during brewfest
@meh23p My theory is that Blizz is using the Magni storyline as an allusion to various legends in history (i.e., Constantine XI or Frederick Barbarossa) where the Emperor is turned to stone for the ages until needed by his people again. It may not be in WoW or WC4, but my guess is that we haven't heard the last of Magni Bronzebeard!
@TriceRiel Do the quest chains, after you kill her husband (The Dark Iron King) She still stays. Whether she's brainwashed or not doesn't matter, same as Arthas. She commanded the Dark Irons to attack the airstrip AND Ironforge, and she seized the throne by FORCE.
@Archimod107 We had to the first time because all three would pull at once, thankfully now they've moved Moira over to the far left, so if you can get your DPS onto the high seat platform she won't run down and pull Muradin. (According to red shirt guy, Muradin should still be in Northrend.)
@LadySeveryna I just finished the book too. I think Moira has some deep personal issues, but I wouldn't quite rank her along with Magatha or Deathwing. Princess entitlement mentality yes, but not a monster. Since she is the direct heir to the Ironforge throne she has some legitimacy, but there has to be balance with the bronzebeads and wildhammers: thus 3 hammers council. We'll see how long it lasts.
We're not talking about human beings here. This is a fantastical setting with non-realistic themes. The Orcs of Azeroth are based on a few different influences, primarily taken from things like Tolkien and Warhammer. The word "Orc" itself was created by Tolkien as a derivative of the word Orca in Latin. As As I'm sure you are aware Orca means kill. The race is specifically stated as having been "bred for war."
Dwarves... Nothing to "haha" about now, Deathbringer! THE DARK IRON CLAN SHALL CAST FEAR INTO THE HEARTS OF ALL WHO OPPOSE MOIRA! GLORY TO MOIRA AND THE DWARVEN EMPIRE!
this is one reason i play wow. the music
I'm usually a Hordie, but when I play ally, it's almost always a dwarf.
have u seen the new dwarf racials in warlods in draenor ? sorry to tell u that horde racials get nerfed and The Alliance Buffed as hell
Same, dude.
Blizz, how DARE you not put this as an option for garrison music D:
I'm sad now
It's not? :(
If I were alliance, then I would play dwarf, for their lore, for awesome starting zone and for afking in Irongofrge just to hear this super nostalgic song
It's the background music of Grim Batol. Not Ironforge's
Awesome...starting zone? What are you on?
- Kill 6 Troggs
- Kill 3 Troggs
- Collect 3 kegs
- Collect 5 dwarven things
- Kill 8 wolfs
- Kill 3 boars
- Kill 10 trolls
- Listen in a tent 3 times
- Collect 3 tools
- Kill some more trolls
- get some chicken
- fly somewhere
*****
Basically every old starting zone anyway, lol
***** Or he could be referring to the rest of Dun Morogh. Which is..
- Kill some yetis

ClumsyWizard Every quest is based around the "TROs" (Trolls and Troggs). :D
It would be so cool if Blizz put some incentive on races and their themes, in game.
For Khaz Modan!
CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE
Reusing one of the best themes from Ulduar... such a good decision! I love this track so much.
From the Grim Batol dungeon to the Nefarian raid I would always stop, turn this music up and just get lost in it. Epic.
Best new quote in WoW is Bronzebeards in Ironforge "Welcome to our home beneath the mountain." The way he says it and with this music playing I get chills every single time...
And now we have Dark Iron Dwarfs as a playable race.
The memories.. :(
Being in the entrance of Grim Batol, watching the mountains with the sun behind hearing this theme is one of the best feelings WoW ever gave me, it's just superb!
6:00 ....... no words to describe the epicness

This is the music that plays everyday when i wake up before going to college. Hail to the king baby !
Spoken truly like somebody who has never experienced war. There's nothing good or glorious about it. People die in war, and then they don't come back. R.I.P Magni Bronzebeard, may your ancestors accept you graciously, Ironforge will mourn your heroic sacrifice!
My mind can barely comprehend the epicness of the new Cataclysm music...
For our fallen King Magni, may you watch over us from the heart of the mountain. FOR KHAZ MODAN!
Heavy PvP and RP player here, really love the changes they have made. Hats off Blizzard.
I was lucky enough for 6:00 to play when I was at the cutscene where Alexstrasza and Deathwign were at each other's throats
Really nice..Kind of gives you a feeling as if you and your character have accomplished great goals when you walk around hearing this song..
So beautiful...
Wow 7.50 to 8.20, gave me goose bumps, amazing music...
Ah, yes. If I ever conquer myself an Empire, this shall be its anthem. 8D
I'm ready, let's do this.
most epic game ever.. LEGEND!
Yes
Out of all the alliance races, it is the dwarves i love the most, even though im horde. Magni, from the earth you came and to the earth you return, may your path back to your people be an swift one.
First encountered this song in Heroic Grim Batol and although we wiped a lot i couldn't seem to mind mostly because of the great and epic music.
This music's so simple, heard before in Ulduar, and still gives me chills.
Props to Blizz music department.
I'll be honest here, the two who have disliked so far probably just can't handle the awesomeness that surrounds all things dwarven.
You have no idea how much this reminds me of Conan the Barbarian, not the new one but the old stuff.
I've been playing a dwarf for 5 years. Now I'll proudly continue.
Who could dislike this magnificent song? Ò.Ó
May the eternal sun shine upon thee brave Dwarf. I wish for never meeting you on the battlefield; elsewise my War Stomp would be stunning.
"Sons of Bronzebeard, hear me now! These are dark times for us, but our bretheren shall not be abandoned! If you have the will to fight, rise against the dark tides that walk over our land! @wC340 Dark Ironforge likely means Grim Batol so you'll be hearing this music on one of the firsts raids in Cata - gives great feelings :)
Love the mix-in of the Iron Council chambers for this.
Absolutely amazing. First time I heard this, chills ran down my spine?
Why couldn't this be the login screen music? I'd be logging on every single day.
One of Blizz's best pieces in my opinion. Straight outta Ulduar!

Thank you for the memories
@MBR700 Before I swtiched from Alliance to Horde, I was a Dwarf. You're absolutely right.
This is quite possibly my favorite soundtrack in Cataclysm.
1:20
I love that part.
@NeoTodesklingel Well, that's half the story. Grim Batol used to be another "Ironforge" inhabited by the Wildhammers, but the Wildhammers were forced out by a Dark Iron curse. The Horde moved in during the Second War and did the whole Alexstrasza thing.

Suits the dwarves--the most epic and heroic race in the World of Warcraft.
You can hear a part from the Antechamber of Ulduar at 0:29, which is a epic masterpiece combined with Ironforge's atmosphere and history. Can barely wait for Cata!
They brought back ulduar music and i cant be happier
8:24 until the end was the best part in my opinion.
Nothing beats them organs.
IMO, Ulduar had the best music score out of all the raids. It's nice that they are using it more in Cataclysm.
dwarves are creations of the titans so the ulduar music fits their style, it reminds me of the scene in the 1st LoTR movie when they enter the halls of moria, i always loved that scene

@lombrie1234 Saved 9 minutes? Why would I ever wanna skip this? It's awesome!
I've been a Horde player for years and I still like the dwarves. Who doesn't like a race of beer-swilling, axe-wielding, scottish fellows with epic beards?!

my heart rests forever in the emerald Dream and with the night elfs
I love hearing that Ulduar theme reused. So epic. So so so so so epic.
So... Great. I think you're right DominikaSents, hacking my way through Grim Batol with this playing just seems so profoundly right.
Those are the days of WoW that I miss.
who can dislike this... art
I love this music!!!
I have never played a dwarf, but I'm rolling dwarf shaman in cata, quite a change after all those night elves and draenei :P
Love this one, it's like they're recycling Ulduar music, but it's so awesome... adds so much deep for dwarves, not just getting drunk during brewfest
The Uld antechamber is pretty badass, love this remix
I love using Steel and Fairy Type Pokemon...this song reflects that I love steel type as well!

Intro sounds like a certain zone's music in EverQuest, but which I can't for the life of me remember.
*walks in to Ironforge after Cata*
*hears music*
*/camp*
*Create Character*
*Dwarf Warrior*
It's not a pun about the Dark Irons in Ironforge, it is a statement of how Ironforge has fallen into darkness due to Magni's death.
finaly again! The True clasic music is in wow once again!
Dwarves have always been my favorite Warcraft race.
Long live Ironforge! For Khaz Modan!
@LichQueenKathie He was referring to the Twilight series. Vampires and Werewolves were really brought to shame there.
This alone will make Grim Batol epic
Great version of Ulduar Antechamber music - as it is clearly one of the best soundtracks in the whole game, this is pretty good too!
I love this remake of Ulduar's Antechamber music. Sounds more epic than it was! good job!
6:00 Godlike
@PoeTheGhost
The best part? The Dwarves don't object at all until Anduin speaks up.
Well spoken kinsman
-Raises Tankard-
@Archimod107 We had to the first time because all three would pull at once, thankfully now they've moved Moira over to the far left, so if you can get your DPS onto the high seat platform she won't run down and pull Muradin. (According to red shirt guy, Muradin should still be in Northrend.)
This is Melvenor's Theme for all his Loregasmic UA-cam videos! :D
This is just a slower version of the Antechamber music of Ulduar. Still very beautiful an soothing. :)
@GreatHeroLink **Excuse me, I forgot to be slightly clearer, that PICTURE is Grim Batol. My bad.**

it gives me goosebumbs..i have to play alliance now..
Its called Reach of Tharussian, but uses the Ulduar anti-chamber music.
one of the wow songs i like the most!
@TheEvilCats47243 -Hipster Cat- I hung around Grim Batol before it became mainstream.
Dwarves...
Nothing to "haha" about now, Deathbringer! THE DARK IRON CLAN SHALL CAST FEAR INTO THE HEARTS OF ALL WHO OPPOSE MOIRA! GLORY TO MOIRA AND THE DWARVEN EMPIRE!
Sooo beautiful!!!
I hope its in IF. Id AFK all day to listen to this..
Just amazing amazing amazing.
