Never heard anyone calling it “PlayStation P” before
i just commented this on his PSP street video. i love it lol it just makes sense
PlayStation portable.
Pushing p
It makes no sense. Just say PSP then. Lol

Don't forget that Sony also added bluetooth functionality to the PSP Go, which not only enabled the use of wireless headphones and earbuds but also adds the ability to use a Dualshock 3 (PS3) controller. If you have the cradle (or dock) then you can use the PSP Go like the Switch and play it on your tv with your PS3 controller. I have a cradle and it's pretty awesome to play my PSP Go on my tv! The only downfall is that the cradles are super expensive now, and they require component cables to connect to your tv, so you have to have an older tv or use a converter to connect your system to your tv.
Damn now I want it even more
Damn now with Sony's new device, the PlayStation portal doesn't even come with Bluetooth support.
@@bimmer8602 Quite ironic! I still want it though.
I’ve had mine all these years and never knew this. So thank you. Sony are always ahead of the times
So it's similar to the PS (Vita) Tv? I got mine for like 30€ back then, still the cheapest and smallest console I've ever seen
Bought one just this morning (piano black)
Original charger, like new original carrying pouch and it came pre-modded
All for $100 and it was like 10 minutes from my house where the seller lives
i wish im looking for one for 7 months now
You lucky devil. Wouldn't sell it if I were you. I have two of them. Modded myself. I'm not selling either of mine. Take care mate 👍
@@craighampton2873I’ve had one for years since I was a kid, locked it in a safe, they battery died for the code and there was never a key, still got the safe but the psp go is locked away for life haha
When this one came out I wanted it so bad, it had a major shiny object effect on me. I had the normal PSP 3000 which to this day is my favourite console. I never got the chance to own a PSP Go yet but I do plan on collecting each PSP model because I think eventually they're really gonna be quite valuable, so I guess eventually i'll get this one
My friend has a 3000. I love the bulky 1st model lol
haha I love it too. The 1000 feels great to hold@@conmcg
I feel like people who say that the removal of the umd slot was a downgrade misunderstood the device. They didn’t discontinue the psp 3000 when they released the psp go. It’s like the iPad mini to the iPad air, they are great at different things. With the psp go you could bring 20-40 games with you in a device as small as a phone. The psp 3000 is huge in comparison. I got the Go in 2009 and I had games, tv shows, music on the go in a tiny device. It was so awesome, and it’s definitely my most used handheld of all time, even though I own 2 switches
Damn
Fax
I want one now.
The go still stands out as one of the best handheld's i've used over the years. I think most people I knew including myself also pirated PSP games for the most part, as piracy was insanely rampant with the system ever since the 1000 was out, so it was really a non issue that the Go didn't have any way to use UMDs. The form factor also really outweighs the ergo issues with the Go, since when the thing was folded up it's generally smaller than most cell phones profile wise nowadays too, and it had some serious battery life unlike a lot of the handhelds today. It's great they are going up in price, but this is one console I will not be selling for sentimental value alone.
That thing sucked. And it is now useless.
This and Xperia play were what I always wanted as a teenager. But the ps vita came out and I loved that! Trying to pick one of these up want to gave it as a pocketable media device with retro games
Love the psp but Sony should make a new one.
Sega should make a new handheld game gear for real that was mind blowing when they came out
Ps Vita
@@Augustas1945NEW
I remember when I had mine. So many people thought it was my phone 😂
I saw this psp go at the retro store ugh I want it! I have the regular psp but this is sweet. Starting your video. I just wish it was bigger. Wish Sony made a new ps vita & psp
Crazy how ahead of its time it was
If you’re talking about the “all digital” consoles then yeah 😂
@@pandaland1 Best PSP there is matey 😊 I have them all, the 3000 is my 2nd favourite. The GO is the best, with a 128gb memory card added with a little adapter. Modded to the brim. It's perfect. Digital that 🐼 x
It wasn't worth it in 2009 but I can see the appeal on the console as it has 16gb flash storage. The button positioning on this console was horrible
Yea it did hurt my wrist after a hour
it's extremely rare these days because those who owned it knows it well ,i owned black one back in 2011
@@ArthasProVEVO the pspg only sold like 1.5 mil units
@@Coopdog0108 Lucky me i got two of these , Piano Black and Pearl White
@@ArthasProVEVOI also have the White one with The Cradle. I play on my TV from Time to Time 😁
I found them very useful for travelling from countries where the size of your electronic devices were limited, eg from the middle east, the PSP 1000/2000/3000 E1000 (Street) were too large, but the PSP GO was compliant!
It’s like a switch lite to a switch, or a Nintendo 2ds to 3ds. The 2ds is the cheaper younger brother
Was cheaper ha
The Go was substantially more expensive
I've never heard it called a "PlayStation - P" before. Either fully 'playstation portable' or 'PSP'...
I remember these didn't sell well and at the end of their life cycle, they went on sell for $50 😭 I hope I can pick one up soon.
the fact that Sony still doesn't wanna make another PSP is baffling to me. like.... why Sony?
I just found mine in an drawer. It's charging RN and i got the time and date set. Oldest file on it is a Naruto background with a modify date of 2009. ROFL
just checking UA-cam for anyone else working a PSPGO in 2023
Is your PSP go light on the weight? Bc my brick PSP is heavy, and the 2001 PSP is lite. But I really want a go. Cons and pros?? I need one for homebrew and mods
@@queso_king84 you'll definitely need to homebrew..
the PlayStation store for this little guy is completely gone.
Plus there's no cartridge in the back to play games.
The weight is very very light. Definitely not heavy at all. I'm comparing it with an iPhone and the iPhone is heavier.
Literally found on in the bottom of a dresser someone threw out in mint condition that just got lost
I just bought a charger fingers crossed
Did it work?
I Remember thinking this Console was bizzare because it had no UMD slot and wondered how people installed games not many people were using the internet and credit carda in that era. The console wasn't widely advertised either.
Not many people were using internet in 2009?
A modded PSP is still a portable emulation beast!
Not.. really..
@thesweetestkingtanner1192 yes it is
I’m looking at a modded one filled with retro games for a bunch of old gen consoles for $279
PSP go was the result of “if it ain’t broken don’t fix it”
While it did offer a more “modern” design, it just was very uncomfortable to use over long periods of time. It really wasn’t worth it at the time imo but maybe today with home brew it might be a good option. Otherwise it really was the first horseman of the “all digital” apocalypse.
It has 14gb internal storage at least. Still have mine
I just bought a 3000 today and saw they had a GO for sale as well. With the store being closed down and the use of that horrible proprietary memory card, I personally couldn't see why I'd get that instead of just a normal PSP. The GO looks interesting and I was thinking about getting it but I still have my brothers old PSP games I can play. If anyone with a GO sees this, what's better about it?
Not a Go owner, but honestly? If you're full digital, or making it a homebrew(modded software), it is a lot more better in terms of compactness, since it fits a lot nicer in your pocket, instead of the much bulkier predecessors(especially the 1000 model). That said, if you're mostly playing with UMDs, then you're better off holding on to your 3000 model.
It is a psp you can actually take anywhere in your pocket
I have a Go and it’s fast, looks really nice, has internal storage, and the graphics look better than on the original PSP and definitely better than PSP games on Vita because of the smaller screen taking advantage of the resolution. Overall it’s definitely worth it to me. But my favourite thing about it is that it looks super nice. If you already have a PSP, I can understand why you wouldn’t want to get one. But to me it’s awesome.
The form factor is good and bad subjectively. I own all of the PSPs from back in the day and still have them, and I bought the Go prior to a vacation to have something easier to carry on the go (har har). The PSP isn't something you can really carry in your pants pocket very easily whereas the Go is. If you're relying on internal memory the options are the same for both anyway, and if you're looking to carry a bunch of UMDs with you, that was also seen as a bigger inconvenience to us back then.
While a lot less comfortable to hold than the regular PSP, the form factor kind of makes up for this and I found I didn't have any issues as it took over as my main PSP as time went on before the whole platform died off and we moved on to other handhelds.
In today's world with all these retro handhelds you can get out of china, and how small and powerful they tend to be, the Go really has no value there aside from nostalgia and collector value. However the time it would take for the thing to raise in value, to about $150 more, is not really a smart investment.
Hi im Damien im on my wifes account i like your video i never had a psp go i had the psp 3000 version. Psp's were sweet i still have one love it have about 10 games for it and i think the umd disks are so awesome
are the games digital?
For that system yes, it has no disc drive.
@SimpleAlpaca The UMD drive reader isn't too important now, people put their ISO games from the internet. I know removing it wasn't a good idea back then but now it's worth it for its form factor and utility
Does the PlayStation Store still work on the PSP Go? If not, then I'm not buying it.
Did you find out?
It’s discontinued. Don’t feel guilty about emulating games
You are a child, and you have no experience with this handheld from the time it came out.
With the emergence of PSP emulators on the phone, we do not need to buy PSP devices
Cool design. How's the D-pad compared to the PSP-1000? - clicky?
Sounds like a rubber-membrane like the PSP-1000: ua-cam.com/video/HNFtO6pub40/v-deo.html
Sony should make touch screen PSP now 😊
that's ps vita
Lmao
Screen gets loose after a while… just get OG psp
I am looking for a charger for my psp.... Suggestion ?????
Bro i had a problem in psp go i connect psp go to pc but the psp didnt connect but the psp is charge if you have solution please reply bro
You need to buy a new cable and make sure it's a 2-1 Cable and not the regular charging cable
@@SataniaMcDowel i bought a new but still face same problem
In the system settings, do you have "USB Auto Connect" switched on?
I still love mine, hack it and you've got yourself a very pocketable portable console
Reasons why sony needs psp go and psp vita slide concept drawers and design too help sony become slide touch screen in the portable future 2k right well 2k so far. Look out sony it psp vita go
I used to joke about this device i used to say sony made a handheld Playstation sidekick lol
Oh brother... I love the PSP Go precisely because it's digital only. Just rip your old games and add them digitally. Jailbreak baby!
To your point about not having every game available on the psn store: they literally included a code for a demo for Rockband with 5 songs. Meanwhile the base game wasn't even available on the psn store. It was like a sick joke from PlayStation lol
When they say you can't hear pictures 7:12
Scan ke safira
I've never heard someone say "PlayStation P". ever.
People only want it as a collectors item. If you want to a modded PSP the Vita is better for an all digital model as it's more powerful and cheaper. If you want to play UMD games obviously you need an earlier PSP
PlayStation p go is crazy💀💀
Needs to be remade one of the best handhelds ever
Anyone else having issues running FREESTOR games?
Liked to look the concept and design, but to me it is inconvenient to hold due to tiny buttons and cramped placing.
7:00 to 8:00 are also worthless. Dude...
Thanks to homebrew this is pretty awesome i have a psp but im gonna pick up this and a 2000 or 3000 at some point.

Where do I get a Mint Condition White Psp go??? I’m dying for one
eBay got mine in mint condition even the panels in the back are still clear w case but a bit pricey $300 but that’s cause of the condition and color
Mercari or eBay

Um I just noticed where do you put the umd? What no umd slot lol thank god I watched ur video I do not want this psp go I hate digital games. It’s a good looking console but it needs a umd slot!
Just hack it
@@StanKepusi oh ok 👌 I won’t be grabbing the psp go but if I come across it cheap then I would get my brother to hack it lol
Back in 2010, my PSP 2000, was stolen from my house by someone I trusted. When getting a replacement, that was precisely the reason why I didn’t by the PSP GO. As I had a collection of UMD games, I opted for the PSP 3000 instead. BTW, i do have a PSP GO now as well as the others and yes they are going up, owing to how rare they were.
@@segagirladventurespicohows the psp
It was ahead of its time. It came out early in the online gaming scene
any help with error code 802F0130??? connecting airpods to it.
Does psp go battery bloat? Can I use it while charging?
I have 2 of them, one with a working battery and one with a bad battery, neither are bloated and the working one can be used while charging
@@BigUncleM thank you!
@Cat-hl9xb If it's any use to you the battery is pretty easy to replace as long as you have a small screwdriver handy

After all that he didn’t know that it was supposed to be a phone a well. Look like someone need to do a lil more research
Not really there was two devices planning going on and psp go was getting hated by consumers and with that they released the phone one release 2 years after
But the normal 3rd psp model was still saleing well but not the sony xperia play and they release some games on psp into the xperia play
