I think it’s a bit more of the other way around, since Daggoth was trying to restore the Zerg to how they were before Aiur, while Kerrigan was pursuing her own desires contrary to that goal. If she had gone along with the Cerebrates’ plan in Brood War, I’m sure they would have been happy to have her.
