That story of yours is touching. I lost mine in a hurricane. I had it when it was new in 1994 all the way to 2005. I am kicking myself to this day about not protecting it.
It's a curtain to cover the absence of BLAST PROCESSING™! Star Cruiser does real time polygons WITH NO EXTRA CHIPS. Ranger X draws vectors. Panorama Cotton scales. Someone wrote the tube effect from Axelay for Genesis. And an alpha port of Starfox. And Thunder Force IV sounds like something that fell from heaven. What was it that SEGA's black wonderbox could not do, I wonder?
This is such an epic list :D btw, my friend, I think you may like this Genesis tune. Probably the best song I've ever heard from a golf game! PGA Tour Golf Mega Drive Title Music
Dang, that Batman track is off the chain! Jesper Kyd made some great tunes back in the day. I've heard Sub-Terrania before, but not this track. I guess all of Zyrinx's games were ballbustingly hard =P.
Yes, it is. Both your first and last statements. I've read he's done the Hitman games' music, but honestly I never paid too much attention to it (or have played the games, for that matter). Sub Terrania is pretty cool, so is Red Zone. I just wish they would've made them -humanly playable- *less fucking difficult*.
True. I prefer to not have any blur, color bleeding or wrong chroma/luminance scales over dithering (?) any day. You could use VGA... same as a common monitor. It doesn't have to be SCART. I get you though, YMMV indeed.
Family Game.. Ending Man - Terminator.. even Batman one who looks like a batmobile, and tons of others. They're all shit, but some of them had some interesting built-in games. And because the pirates used mostly japanese roms, I was lucky to experience some pretty obscure and unknown import games (Captain Tsubasa i'm looking at you). Dear God, did I have special place in my heart for those times. I'm from Bulgaria. Keep up the good work and Cheers!
Cause in my country is pretty much the same - flooded with bootlegs, and pirated games, famiclones and such. Original hardware and carts are quite hard to find. So I thought that you can be from somewhere around. But you're not from Eastern Europe.. not even in Europe : ). Whatever, again you have great taste. I can't agree with you only for that Contra HC soundtrack.
The AV cord only costs like $7 for you U.S. fellows! Mine is Retrobit - it works wonderfully well. The image is actually a bit outdated because I did not want to pull out everything late on Sunday night when I finished the video - I'll show you what I have next weekend if you want. Don't want to be an ass but I'd take the cord out if I were you... Using an adapter, you can get RGB (basically HDMI of the 90's) without modding the console at all! Way better than composite - look it up!
The "Kickass Non-Sonic" doesn't mean "kicking Sonic's ass", but rather "Hey, all these songs are excellent AND they do not belong in Sonic games because there's more to the Genesis than that". I couldn't fit that in the title :P So do I. Although I don't know if they will ever match Thunder Force IV's music (which I consider the system's best), some people (like LegendofRenegade, and specially GeckoYamori) have done superb work with FM music. I hope to be amongst them someday :)
I may have some later on. The series is not done - I just have been delaying EP 6 for over a year and a half due to... well, plenty of things. Won't be the last you see of me! Thanks for the comment!
Uuuhh... sorry? I don't quite get you! What do you mean by "kicking someone in the name"? You mean the title of the video series? Please explain :) Thanks for watching and commenting.
Dendy is one, correct? We had the "Family Game" as a name for a generic FamiCom :) Nevermind the distance! Argentina's population is basically a cross between Italia and Spain that just happens NOT to be in Europe, lol. You russian, ukrainean, romanian, latvian...? Perhaps not "soon", but there's definitely more to come, so stay around! And thank you...

Exelent compilations man. What country are you from?

From the one I guess is the furthest country in the world from yours - Argentina. Why is it that you ask, fellow?
I love sound chips, so tasty, yum!

Like I told someone else here in UA-cam: "Holy shit! I guess there will always be someone to out-nerd you." Applies here!
Aw, I was expecting some Sub-Terrania music, still a good list tho
