      Mhm that’s why I love the internet and even though I hate school because of the way they want us to blindly absorb the information they give us, writing essays for subjects is a great way for me to learn because I’m able to gather the information my and learn about things in my tempo, which is rather high compared to my class.

    This comes at such an opportune moment. If there's one principle I find ENTPs live by and I do too- nobody can teach you something better than you can learn it yourself. This obviously leads to bunked classes, but I hope the point comes through.

    • @lovewho

      I agree with this, self teaching is the best way of learning (after a certain age of course) for certain types of people. At this point it's so weird for me to even imagine myself learning in a school/university environment ever again ~ Nathan

      I absolutely agree, and especially because our learning speed is so much different, we are the most efficient when we do it ourselves. Da Vinci was _i think_ my first or one of my earliest obsessions in life. I think i discovered him when i was 13 or 14 and i was just constantly reading about him, watching documentaries, even watching series and reading novels inspired by him. Because of him i loved art and read a lot about art history, because of him i got obsessed for a little bit with the Medici and of course Machiavelli. I really miss those days when i was a very curious person... For the past couple of years i'm just blue and i hate that but i don't know how to fix it

    I read a biography about him when I was 11 and absolutely loved every page. It made quite the impression on me.
    His character has me enjoy Assassin's Creed 10x more and I loved virtually using his flying machine. Soundtrack is cool too.
    It's fascinating that his humble beginnings actually paved the way to the opportunity to discover his genius. I've often thought my life was doomed because I had a lame start to life (though I try to actively go against this deep feeling-driven meta-narrative). So your info that you shared about him is thought-provoking and inspiring.

    • @darth3266
      @darth3266 3 роки тому +4

      It’s quite annoying that ENTPs are only seen as the devil’s advocate because we have a lot of sides to us. I will admit that I love to debate and see things from different point of views regardless of if they’re perceived as good or bad, but that’s not my only trait

    • @anderpanders6210
      @anderpanders6210 3 роки тому +4

      I think our tendency towards devil's advocacy is also driven by curiosity. Curiosity is the essence of ENTPs. To debate is to test ideas to see which are worth and which are not.
      And yea as Nathan here has said ENTPs are sort of 'mental' performers and debating is an opportunity for flexing, but I think as ENTPs mature they start flexing less and less and become more curious. (At least in my experience).

    Oh! Another little snippet that is just so me it's undeniable. One of the big problems in my life is that I am told there will be training on a job and then there isn't right away, so I learn it my way and anywhere from weeks to years later someone asks why I am doing some aspect of it all wrong and asking me why I am not following my training and I have to tell them, "Because, I've never had any." Sometimes this would happen repeatedly, for years, until I needed to move on to a new job.

    Da Vinci does seem like a very unusual personality. Not sure how an extrovert would be able to find the time invent so many things. To me he seems like someone with the creative thinking of an INTP combined with craftsmanship and technical skills of an ISTP. I guess once you become a genius you can master a lot of different things.

      people often mistype Davinci , forgetting the era where he lived. In those times is quite common to find people of intellect mastering in different areas from art to machinery, there was not any concept of specializzation as is it today. Bunellecshi, Bramante , Michelangelo were artists and as the same time designed machines for building their architecture. Quite interesting enough Giorgio Vasari one of the earliest biographers of the main artists of that time describes well the rivalry among Michelangelo and Da Vinci .He writes that Da vinci was gentle , calm and reflective and absorbed by the
      phenomenon on nature and the opposite side Michelangelo was quite extroverted ,turbolent and idealist . Well , I think Da Vinci was probably Intp with Adhd and of very high intelligence.

    Hey Nathan I am wondering if you are familiar with the work and ideas of Bertrand Russell! I found some of his thoughts to be quite insightful when considering the way humanity is heading post-Corona. I definitely recommend the UA-cam video “A Conversation With Bertrand Russell (1952)” if you haven’t seen it before.

      Dear Miss Mandy. Please don't give up on humans, not at this moment in time at least. Never in the history of mankind have so many little children had the opportunity to go to school. Never in the history of mankind has man made such a concious wakeup call and gone from being mindless mass consumers to become concious and respecting nature again (global warming) Never in the history of mankind have we been this close to inhabiting and terraforming another planet.(where the kindest and brightest shall inhabit the new civilization) Never ever in the history of mankind has the best and brightest minds come together to create several vaccines within 1 year from the breakout of a global pandemic, to save millions of lives. Never ever in the history of man has so much African literature been made as in these recent years. Never before has any speices known to man documented the excistence of black holes...untill recently. And yes you guessed it...none of this would have happend without the INTP......So please dont give up on humans. In regard to your other question about the INFJ. The reason why INFJ and INTP are drawn to each other, is because we have some fundamental important things we need to teach each other each generation. The INFJ needs to teach INTP about the nature of emotions and meaning of human existence. And the INTP trains INFJ Ti child to be more accurate. Becuase INFJ has a very bad habit of jumping to conclusions, due to Te trickster. And also a lot of other stuff. :)

    Love this series. How about Elon Musk? Good for gaining extra subs as there is a lot of debate about whether he's INTJ or INTP.
    I think he's INTJ as he's basically described the way he thinks which is very much Ni/Te.

      If you talk about "first principle reasoning" it's not how he usually thinks, in fact he had to develop that system in order to reason differently from his usual "analogy" way. When he went to Joe Rogan he described his thought process as Ti/Ne. My guess is he's an INTP
