I’ve even heard some theories about the texts with Jenn McCabe that night saying are you here or where are you or whatever she said… That she was waiting in a room like to meet him whether it was a bathroom or the basement or wherever, the where are you, it wasn’t about whether he was physically at the house it was asking where in the house are you!
45 min after dropping him off he was already sleeping with another woman? And somehow KR knew he wasn't coming home? I think it’s strong evidence against knowledge he was dead that night. How she could have hit him at 24 mph after driving backward 50-90 feet and NOT realized mean I think it’s almost certain she didn’t hit him. Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago in my home state, a 39-year-old pedestrian was hit and instantly killed by a 22-year-old woman who was behind the wheel drunk and also admitted to the police on the scene she was smoking pot. I’m married to a federal LEO. Arguments happen. Police officers have to deal with horrific things and when they are off duty they enjoy being able to let all of that go and just be normal. Karen stated earlier in the day she didn’t feel well. Their relationship had been rocky. She wanted to go home and he didn’t. He was enjoying drinking with people he worked with. I’ve had this happen with my husband - we’ve gone out with co-workers and I’m ready to go home but he isn’t. Sometimes I’m pissed, sometimes it’s just “whatever I’ll see you later”. I truly feel her messages are just more proof that she didn’t do this. She was mad at him, yes. But there’s no way she wanted him dead. It doesn’t make sense.

They prove a motive..it's not meant to be proof of the crime but a motive for it .. which is something the state doesn't actually have to prove. Every couple argues.. however not everyone's partner ends up dead!! An argument can lead to someone snapping in rage and especially whilst intoxicated. Constant arguments to the point where the couple argues more than not builds resentment and contempt. Prisons are full of people who snapped during an argument... unfortunately it happens every day all over the world. Think about it ..what's more likely.. that John was killed in a moment of rage during an argument or... during the same time that John was going through a bad relationship with constant arguments.. someone else came along and killed him?

He didn’t seem pissed. He seemed like he’d do anything to keep the party going with a BAC of .21 to .28. He seemed like he had a substance abuse issue and was trouble identifying friend from foe. He seriously made a mistake going to that house in a blizzard and got the stuffing beat out of him and dumped in the snow. He used Karen to give him a ride and to watch his kids. The voicemails prove that John and Karen were in an unhealthy relationship, that's it. They do not prove that Karen had a motive for murder. Karen had already cheated on John so she couldn't have been too attached to him. Also, cheating makes her a terrible person, but not a murderer.

I'm a manufacturing engineer and deal with machines all the time. Maintenance logs keep track of every cycle with a counter on them. The maintenance logs don't usually record everything that happens but they record every unusual event and they can't buy the cycle. The cycle goes up and it may have recorded what happened and the length of time in Ram but it doesn't save that to the permanent memory until there's an unusual event. But you're not going to convince me that the cycle count key cycle did not count up when there was a key cycle. That makes me think that they had the GPS data that showed that there was a U-turn and then it could have been one person use that car to create a u-turn and the backup event for a later Trooper to find and use to justify their Theory. It doesn't take a huge conspiracy theory it only takes one or two and one family covering each other.
To me that is 100% proof that it did not happen the way the state said which would mean not guilty. But I was already at not guilty when I saw how shoddy the investigation was and how the evidence was not maintained with proper chain of custody because I cannot allow that shoddy of an investigation to be used to convict anyone. If you let the state do that then they can convict anyone they want to with any narrative they want.

The voicemails don’t feel like they are exclusively in response to an argument. IMO they feel more like they are a response to what she perceived as being a non response to her. Edit: just a guess, but the pervert part may refer to the younger woman in Aruba. Doesn’t make perfect sense, but she was pretty irrational when she left the messages.
100 percent agree and anyone watching this trial and believes he at least could have gone in that house is not being honest with themselves. I’m married to a federal LEO. Arguments happen. Police officers have to deal with horrific things and when they are off duty they enjoy being able to let all of that go and just be normal. Karen stated earlier in the day she didn’t feel well. Their relationship had been rocky. She wanted to go home and he didn’t. He was enjoying drinking with people he worked with. I’ve had this happen with my husband - we’ve gone out with co-workers and I’m ready to go home but he isn’t. Sometimes I’m pissed, sometimes it’s just “whatever I’ll see you later”. I truly feel her messages are just more proof that she didn’t do this. She was mad at him, yes. But there’s no way she wanted him dead. It doesn’t make sense.

It sounds like she was upset because he was messing around with one of the girls that was back at the house, but it doesn’t sound like she wanted him dead. She wanted him home and it doesn’t sound like someone who’s covering up their boyfriend’s death. It sounds like someone who thinks he’s with another girl while she’s home waiting on him, it kinda makes her look better. Couples have problems arguing doesn’t make you a murderer. It definitely doesn’t cut both ways. It shows that she was at home waiting for him and wanting him to come home.

He didn’t seem pissed. He seemed like he’d do anything to keep the party going with a BAC of .21 to .28. He seemed like he had a substance abuse issue and was trouble identifying friend from foe. He seriously made a mistake going to that house in a blizzard and got the stuffing beat out of him and dumped in the snow. He used Karen to give him a ride and to watch his kids. I think he was struggling with the loss of his best friend / partner by self unaliving.

Seems to me that Karen felt unappreciated and used, she flirted and kissed Higgins to feel desired, Higgins showed up to the after-party house, she saw Higgins there so doesn't go in with John, she's feeling guilty, desperate that Higgins will spill the flirting with John. I've known many (young) insecure couples who fight this way phoning and texting especially when booze are involved.

The voicemails prove that John and Karen were in an unhealthy relationship, that's it. They do not prove that Karen had a motive for murder. Karen had already cheated on John so she couldn't have been too attached to him. Also, cheating makes her a terrible person, but not a murderer.

I'm a manufacturing engineer and deal with machines all the time. Maintenance logs keep track of every cycle with a counter on them. The maintenance logs don't usually record everything that happens but they record every unusual event and they can't buy the cycle. The cycle goes up and it may have recorded what happened and the length of time in Ram but it doesn't save that to the permanent memory until there's an unusual event. But you're not going to convince me that the cycle count key cycle did not count up when there was a key cycle. That makes me think that they had the GPS data that showed that there was a U-turn and then it could have been one person use that car to create a u-turn and the backup event for a later Trooper to find and use to justify their Theory. It doesn't take a huge conspiracy theory it only takes one or two and one family covering each other.
To me that is 100% proof that it did not happen the way the state said which would mean not guilty. But I was already at not guilty when I saw how shoddy the investigation was and how the evidence was not maintained with proper chain of custody because I cannot allow that shoddy of an investigation to be used to convict anyone. If you let the state do that then they can convict anyone they want to with any narrative they want.

I think the medical examiner worked against the prosecution. Those abrasions were not cuts, they were tears...As in dog nails... I believe the medical examiner did a great job today.

Vinnie, you have to understand women. I had a boyfriend shut his phone off for HOURS to get a tattoo. Meanwhile, he is missing a dinner with his Mother! First, I left questioning VMs. Then I got worried and left mad VMs. Then after calling all the hospitals. I left very angry yelling VMs. I didn't know what happened but I kept getting angrier by the minute that he wasn't answering my calls.
This is a woman who is irate that her boyfriend isn't picking up her calls. Add to that she is watching his kids? I would be screaming too. (Not swearing with a child next to me though. That's bad.) But I totally get her anger, 100%!

Vinnie it seems to me that if we are to believe the part of Jennifer McCabe testimony where she says that John was using karen as a babysitter so maybe karen read heard that and was probably trying to find ways to test if it's true without coming right out and accusing or confronting him. Maybe he was just using her and maybe it got to her more when she was drinking but I don't think she was responsible for his injuries. I think he was beaten and attacked by a dog too. I keep an open mind and I'm waiting to hear the defense case before I decide

The voicemails don’t feel like they are exclusively in response to an argument. IMO they feel more like they are a response to what she perceived as being a non response to her. So not voicemails because they had a fight, but pissed voicemails because she thinks he ghosted her when he went into the house to party.
Meaning, he went inside, she was waiting for him to call her or text her. When he didn’t, she got pissed and metaphorically took her toys out of the sandbox and stomped off.
She then leaves all those text messages because she believes he went into the house, without her, to have fun and left her alone to go and “babysit” his kids.
Edit: just a guess, but the pervert part may refer to the younger woman in Aruba. Doesn’t make perfect sense, but she was pretty irrational when she left the messages.

100 percent agree and anyone watching this trial and believes he at least could have gone in that house is not being honest with themselves. Just because you initially thought she was or might be guilty doesn't mean you can't come to a reasonable assumption that it might not be the case. This police dept, the troopers and the DA's office are corrupt, and it is coming to light as we speak. Stay tuned.....
