When the threat of ricochet is too high, I reach for my arrows. Practical range for the FX Verminator arrow assembly is 30 yards or less. But, when you are hunting down urban rabbits, that is plenty of reach.
Be warned, the unlisted footage may be considered Graphic to some viewers. It's nothing any hunter has not seen. But, slow-motion adds a whole new element to the viewing experience. What takes 5 seconds in real-time plays out over a minute in slow-motion.

They are a pest. rabbits were introduced into Australia back in 1859 with 24 rabbits . 70 years later they were in plague proportion across the country. I did hear of the old timers talk about the rabbit drives they would do. And they would talk about hillsides on the move. Hard to Imagine .. Till i was hunting on the property that i have now hunted for over 30 years now.. Back in the eighty's my friend and i came up over a hill and saw the hill come alive with so many rabbits there we hundreds of them and that was in one small part of the property. And i ran into a professional shooter just the other night while i was out spotlighting on the same property. he told me he had shot over 1500 rabbits in a few months. This property is only on 1800 acres. That's a hell of a lot of damage that they do in one small area. Myself i take a .22 with subs for the rabbits as to not make to much noise for the foxes. And i either use a 22.250 or .308 for foxes as some of them are at long distances. And for those that like spotlighting use a red filter on your light as the rabbits and foxes sit that little bit longer trying to work out what it is.. And no headlight on your car. So you just drive around with your spotlight. In short Yes Rabbits Are A pest. lol

This is not a humane way to treat rabbits, soon we will be able to alter rabbits to only produce male offspring, through genetic modification. Listen I'm a guy who has grown up living with a family that has a family tradition of hunting so I know a few things about this. This is NO different from people hunting deer I live in michigan so its something that happens all the time people hunt deer for food, and to reduce the deer population this is the EXACT same thing only in a residential neighborhood so it is a little more important to reduce pest populations so this is an absolute need thumbs up for the guy who took matters into his own hands
Fried rabbit. With "Mashed Taters" and Gravy. With whatever green veggies. I.e. Collard Greens. Green beans. Etc. was a Southern Gourmet Meal for my family growing up. I kept the freezer stocked with squirrel and fish. Rabbits were a bonus. You're blessed. 👍🙏

I once found a video of an Apache helicopter fighting a Taliban platoon. One of the Taliban, got hit directly in the chest with a 20mm frag round. I remember one of my uncles, from when I was a kid, who used to bow-hunt rabbits. Dead shot. He had broadpoints with the fletching curved around the rear of the arrow so that it would spin in flight to give the exact (well, almost) same result. I once saw a rabbit that he'd taken, just as it'd started to run. The arrow passed in one ear, through the cranial cavity, out the other ear, and pinned the bunny to the ground, where he pinwheeled for a few revolutions before expiring. His body was dead before he'd completed his initial jump, the rest was just inertia and nerve-induced movement.

I think some of the dislikes are because of the use of practice tips. Generally you're supposed to use a small broadhead on an arrow no matter what it's shot out of.

Hot glue a 38 special case over the arrow's tip. The blunt force trauma instantly kills rabbits and varmints. I've killed many in my younger years with cheap target arrows and recurve bows. I've also seen several rabbits run off and down holes with target tipped arrows through them...blunt force is the way to go and 38 cases are much cheaper than judo tip type retail products.

They were there first and you move in and say fuck these animals they're so bothersome. Animals adapt to their environment. Those rabbits eat shrubbery and wild berries but humans have fucked that over and built houses. So the rabbits adapt and eat bark from trees and shit like they do. Wherever there isn't food. The only animal that has ceased to evolve is the fucking human being. We don't want to adapt to our environment and work with it.
