Love this effect. I'm a huge fan of contrast for effect. And mixed in with the glowing core of really makes the effect stand out! Whatever the name is for this style vfx of shaping, to mesh, and the way the colors work so well together... I think it's my favorite style. If I had my own game and needed a tornado effect this would be my choice.!!
Nice Tutorial Gabriel !!! I am starting with Blender this month and after a few hours, I finally start to get some of the results I hope for. You are the best.
Best unity particle effects channel so far. Could you make a video about blood effects, its different from your consept but i believe it attracts peoples attention. Keep up the good work !
Woah! Its getting better and better here. I just made a portal with particles + shaders.Found so satisfying experimenting. Happy to learn more. Thanks! One question though: Is it possible to make the same thing without the mesh? Also with pulling towards it?
You could do it without the mesh and the shader, but the end result is a bit different: ua-cam.com/video/_VG_if3saBw/v-deo.html The pulling forces is just a script that can be attached to anything actually :)
Hey, loved the effect but I'm having some problems reproducing it. The material on the tornado doesn't change when I change its variables, and even the material window is not showing some things like the slider for the dissolver variable, even though it its set as "slider" on the shader graph tab. I've followed all the steps but can't seem to get the effect right :(
I love all of your stuff and took the full course on umedy as well. unfortunately Amplify shader graph doesn't work with this tutorial so I'll keep searching for something better
Hello great Tutorial i love it. i have a question how did you create the layers of the tornado u just said it but i am new on Unity and did duplicate the VX and it does not show anything Great regards
Yes. I created a property in the shader to control the center of the twirl in the inspector. This allows to put the twirl center at the base of the Tornado, creating more loops at the top. In my case it's at X: 0.5 Y: 0 Here's the moment I added that property, a Vector2 : ua-cam.com/video/Qyh9RPxeKcA/v-deo.html Good luck.
I can only follow until 3:00...After that , I can only see my particle when Dissolve is set to 1, I followed every step...checked every property, cant find where is the problem... plus my particle dont spin up like you did in the video ... please help!!!
He literally does this on every tutorial. I think it's a way to keep his work his own while teaching the basics, or a means to get you to subscribe to his Udemy course. I actually did the later.
You can create a public AnimationCurve, then you can control a value, for example the pullForce, like this: pullForce = pullForceCurve.Evaluate(((Time.time * speed) % pullForceCurve.length)); Good luck!
the effect is awesome but is pointless if you can't do it . You skip too many stuff a noob like me has no chance of making this without explanation.it's a shame i really wanted to use this on my project.
I love the tutorial but seriously, go slower, or show at least what you are doing in depth because I'm having several issues trying to do this. First of all my particle moves while yours not, second of all the tornado doesn't show the dissolve even tho I made everything like you did. So I'm putting the video speed to 0.25 to see if I missed some clicking you did or something every time. I love your videos really, but sometimes it gets frustrating trying to follow you up.
@@GabrielAguiarProd First of all. Thanks for responding so fast! Second of all, I had the UV's done, that was the strange thing to me...But I solve it! I changed from Lightweight RP to HDRP and done, all finally working and with the speed thing you said now it's all functioning perfectly! Thanks! The problem I have now is that the particle moves with my camera but I think I can figure how to make it stay and don't rotate on my own. Again, thanks for responding so fast, really, and sorry for the trouble! :D
Np you are welcome, enjoy. In case you couldn't find the solution: if it "moves" with the camera, you can set the Render Alignment in the Renderer of the PS to Local.

Any way to get rid of the seam?
I think the seam is just being hidden in the video... which is pretty dishonest imo. Basically makes the effect unusable.
Holy moly, I love this guy so muchhhh
Hahaha dito :D
man you sure not gay ? :p j/k i love him more :P

multi layers really makes it pop
Wow! This escalated quickly! You are awesome!
Thanks for sharing this

Thank you! Yeah that may be cool.

I love your tutorials! Everything works fine everytime, and i learn something new each video!
Great! That's awesome :)
Great effect!
You are the best!
great tutorial!
Thank you so much!!!
Does anyone know how to prevent seams in the tornado?
A good improvement on this would be to have different speeds at the center and edge of the tornado
AMAZING indeed!!!!
Thanks sir

Hmm for some reason i cannot get the "wobble" effect to work with the UV scrolling. Something is missing. Otherwise i like it :D
This is the coolest shit ever man
I like your accent
Merci pour le tuto
This men is awesome xD

Can you make a tutorial for this in Unreal Engine 4?
I'm a little confused here. Is this a tutorial, or a plug for the paid tutorial. You purposely left out key steps....!
He literally does this on every tutorial. I think it's a way to keep his work his own while teaching the basics, or a means to get you to subscribe to his Udemy course. I actually did the later.
@@jakespencer1993 yeah, that makes sense,....I was bummed out a little because I couldn’t get it working properly......thanks!
Wow 😮😮😮
❤
this works with vrchat?
how would i make that swirl effect in ASE
Hey Gabriel great video! Listen, Im having trouble with the UV cut, its making a line just in the middle of the animation, how can i fix it?
me too
how did you use a curve as a variable?
You can create a public AnimationCurve, then you can control a value, for example the pullForce, like this:
pullForce = pullForceCurve.Evaluate(((Time.time * speed) % pullForceCurve.length));

@@GabrielAguiarProd awesome! thanks :)
I have only one particle floating......
How to make a transformation
How can i get this for free? Need it for a project but everything needs to be free
the effect is awesome but is pointless if you can't do it . You skip too many stuff a noob like me has no chance of making this without explanation.it's a shame i really wanted to use this on my project.
Its so true
Can you pls give the shader code
thx
how do i make it kill me?
Put the emphasis of effect on the second e. Not the first one.
So effEct. Not Effect.
Thanks :)
Just wonder how the script work
but i cant use it on games?
You can, why not?
@@GabrielAguiarProd ah because it can only be created in High definition RP template but i'm wrong i'll search about that thank you
Altamente.
Brigado! :)
The problem that I have is the seam this creates :/

I love your videos really, but sometimes it gets frustrating trying to follow you up.
If the particle moves, set the start speed to 0. If you don't see the dissolve maybe you don't have the UVs done on your mesh.
Good luck.
