Hey man, I striped the nut on my rear shock yesterday and was browsing online to see if this was a common problem and found you. Were you able to get that bolt out using a hammer? i have pounded and pounded on the bolt and its not nudging, it feels like a weld on the other side? I was hoping to get a response before I decide to cut and drill the bolt out! 🛠
Hey sorry about the late reply but your best bet is drilling a small hole on the broken bolt then using a thick self tapper screw and that’s gonna hold it really good I did mine like that and it’s super good held on really right
Just broke off one of the bolts from my fx35. I can drill the bolt. But what does the self tapping screw do? A self tapping screw would just mount onto the bolt.
brodie would i need to get a washer on the top and bottom of the bolt ?

Solved, I had to cut the bolt and drill another hole. I bought a long bolt so I could hold it when righting the nut.
