    This is my fifth times of watching this looked-simple-video, but it is not as simple as we look or watch. If we watch this video with high attention and respect, we will gain knowledge and skill tremendously. I really thank to Andy and TechSmith for creating this special video - especially the speech template. At first, I did my video for my students without any clear clue of doing clear template like Andy DID, and I observed that my class was simple after speaking and making the project videos. Then I told myself to go to watch Andy again and use his SPECIAL TEMPLATE. After that it worked well for me then I introduced the template by Andy to my students for them to do their template's speech to speak in front of the camera. Believe or not that template has turned my students from simple to confident with the steps of speech.
    "BOOM!" "WOOW! Teacher! Good Template!
    My students said to me that I was a creative teacher and made something easy for them to learn from. I told them not me. I used Andy's Template! This video, "How to Make A Tutorial Video in 2022 (FREE Template!)," is not only given knowledge, but is also confident in speaking skills for not only my students but to the world. If they have chance to watch it, their template arrangement will be fruitful like mine. Again, from the bottom of my heart, thanks to Andy and TechSmith - for this SPECIAL VIDEO. Cheers from to the team! I wish you all success.
    Please mind my English because I am an ESL teacher and English is not my mother tongue. As I said I watched this video for five times already.

    Regarding microphone choice, if you don't need to be seen in the video, I prefer gaming headsets, such as from Corsair and Logitech. I find that the vocal pickup is just as good AND you get the bonus of the mic always remaining a fixed distance from your mouth. I'm an animated talker and my head tends to move around a lot. Or maybe I'm simply looking across different monitors or at a script. Either way, the mic is always fixed in relation to where my mouth is. I don't have to worry about where a stationary mic is and "Did I just move too far away from it?" That being said, most stationary mics are pretty good at negating that. But why even have it as a concern?
    A headset also allows me to keep my editing session private to me as opposed to other people in the area possibly having to listen to me playing back various audio and narration clips.
    Lastly, a good gaming headset will save you a few bucks. (Don't let "gaming" cause you to think it's not quality. Serious gamers want excellent audio both in their ears and when they speak to others online.) Just my 2¢... ✌

      Incredible feedback! This is exactly what we're looking for. We have a lot of employees here at TechSmith who make videos for internal shareouts, and even on camera (it's different world after the last year and a half) they have headsets for their videos. I lvoe your point about the fixed distance from your mouth, that is a pain with the desktop models. Thanks! (Andy)

    How do you add words and graphics as you speak in a tutorial video? I am looking for options to make a tutorial without having to add custom graphics manually in a PowerPoint, to teach very technical topics like accounting, finance, math, excel etc

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  Рік тому

      Do you already have the words & graphics as images, or are you looking to create them from scratch?
      If they already exist: just import them to Camtasia and place them along the timeline wherever you'd like them to appear with your video. Then manipulate them on the canvas until you're happy with the results.
      If they don't exist: under the annotations tab you will find options for "ABC" which when you drag on the canvas is a text editor. (See the Properties panel to change the font/scale etc). Double click the "ABC" on the canvas to edit it.
      As for graphics, we have a free tier of graphics at library.techsmith.com where you can download photos, graphics & videos from a stock library. Otherwise, you can import any that you have rights to into Camtasia and place them on the timeline.
      If you want to record your accounting or financing software, that's an easy one! Just pull them up on your desktop and tell Camtasia to 'record' and you walk through your process!
      Let us know if that doesn't answer your question!

  • @evolution2001
    @evolution2001 2 роки тому +1

    I'm assuming your animated arrows @0:29 were an video overlay, perhaps from the asset library? If you created those from scratch in Camtasia...I'd love to see a video how to create arrows with the bezier curves (like in Snagit)

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  2 роки тому +2

      They are outside elements that we brought into Camtasia for this video. You can bring in any PNGs to do similarly. :) These were made in Illustrator and then brought in (for all of our UA-cam videos). I hope that helps answer your question!

    Is there a way to add a matching quiz from Google forms to my videos?

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  2 роки тому

      Camtasia does have Quizzing, but as far as integrating from Google Forms, I think it'd be a manual process to move it over. Not 100% sure though, you may want to ask over on our forums: bit.ly/ts-gethelp

    Hello? Am I correct in believing that I can make tutorial videos in little time without much hassle?

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  5 місяців тому

      I don't think we want to confuse the message from being ABLE to make a great tutorial video with what you said "little time without much hassle." Yes, Camtasia will give you the tools you need to make a tutorial video MUCH easier than most, but with any new endeavor there will likely be things that frustrate the creator. However, we hope the way this video sets you up with templates and best practices, it'll help get you past some of those difficulties faster than you would without it. Does that make sense?

    Hi, I‘m recording some video tutorials for students. I used a very good headset in a quiet room and connected it to my computer screen USB to avoid noise from laptop fun, Somehow the video still has lots of background noise, does anyone have a solution for it?

    • @techsmith
      @techsmith  Рік тому

      Are you using Camtasia? If so, under the Audio Effects tab, select "Noise Removal" and add that to your audio clip.
      As for the recording itself it can be due to a number of factors. Sometimes it's a simple mistake of forgetting to select your Microphone from your audio input options, so your recorder defaults to the computers microphone instead.
      We have a video on other ways to make sure your audio doesn't have any background noise that might help: ua-cam.com/video/WAHq7oBuEJ8/v-deo.html

Can you please make a more detailed explanation at the point where you creat the two big white animation boxes that cover the text. Really hard to follow at that point and beyond. Thank you.
