Coach: Can I get your input on the following? I tell kids to drop their nose and the bill of the cap down to watch the ball into the glove. Also, I tell them to make sure they see the ball into the pocket of the glove BEFORE they start into a two or four step throwing process. This helps prevent the ball from going through the "wickets" or the five hole between the legs--something I'm sure you've seen often in younger players!
This is so difficult for me to teach because I grew up as a shortstop and third baseman but I had such a strong arm that I would throw the first way and not run through my throw. I ended up being a pitcher and maybe that's why haha😂

Awesome vid. Is it proper for the infielders to take a "stutter step", or should they just step and throw?
