Whats amazing is that you have opened that insane Longrow 1973 as a appetiser!!! Way to go! Happy Bday Narve and thanks for brinking all these crazy stuff out guys! Respect!! :)
Found a bottle of this in Kohler, Wisconsin. It was $8,000. We're the liquor State, so I hadn't seen anything that expensive before. I never knew liquor could cost that much! I drink Christain Brothers scotch, so I like my cheap liquor 😂
I love all your reviews and bottle selections in general. When I get an older bottle, my corks seem to always break when opening them. I just opened a Mac 25 and the cork broke in half as I was opening it - suggestions on how to avoid this issue?
Not much you can do. With older bottles you almost always need another cork to replace. When it breaks in half try using a wine opener to get the second half of cork out.
Thank you - that makes sense to me. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t storing them so poorly or anything. The reviews are great again. I have a springbank double dark that I am saving and didn’t want to mess it up. But I will definitely be rewatching your video again while I am opening it up!
Happy Birthday Mike ! Enjoy it guys...I wonder how it compares with the 30 yo....I havent tried older ones per se, but casks from the 60s & 70s used for Tun 1401 as mentioned before...46 % is a good compromise...I wonder why they diluted it though...considering the price it is....Curious of how it evolves too, Slainte !
Great review! I’m heading to LA soon and am dying to hit up K&L. Are there any of their private bottlings I should keep an eye out for? (The amrut oloroso and glenrothes OP have caught my eye)
If you only have small samples of drams and really want to let them open up and breathe, how long do you leave in glass? Covered/uncovered? Love your stuff!

We will bring a review in a few months or so. Thank you

How do these guys not have 100,000 UA-cam followers?
That would be nice. Maybe Balvenie 50 if we did, lol. Cheers!

Always gems there. Ask for David and tell him Narbe sent you. He will take good care of you
@@maltreviews for sure will do this next time! Ended up grabbing these two and the Michel couvreur peaty overaged. Great stuff!

20-30 min should do. But if you notice it keeps improving then let it breathe even longer. Cheers
Wow. Enjoy
Thank you Raul
Nice color. Whiskybase say's only 150 bottles. That is very low mintage. Can't wait for the review.
Ya Balvenie 40 is always released 150 bottles at a time.
No mention on their release note, with multi-cask "marriage" and only 46%, got to be over 150 bottles .right?
HBD again, the both of ye, just about there. Pop.
Cheers
Sapphire or Spearmint Rhino? You gotta love birthdays in Vegas..
LOL
Where’s the formal review guys? I need a number 😅
I don’t know. $7,000. Wow. Is it really $6,750 better than the 1401 batch 3?
were can I get 1401 batch 3 for 250? I'll take 10 :)
In 2010 that was def the best deal in all of whisky
Damn I'm on the rich side of UA-cam again
lol

Venetian Salon had or has a bottle of 40year. Pre pandemic tried a glass
