The Barnard/Columbia Ancient Drama Group presents Seneca's THYESTES, performed at the Minor Latham Playhouse in New York City in April, 2013. Seneca's gruesome tragedy tells the story of the rivalry between two brothers, Atreus and Thyestes, and their struggle for the throne. After usurping power, Thyestes has been driven into exile. Now Atreus lures his brother back to Mycenae, but not for a reconciliation. Following in the footsteps of his ancestor Tantalus, Atreus plots grim revenge: to slaughter Thyestes' sons and feed them to their father in a nefarious feast.

I like the way they play "food, glorious food" when Tantalus is onstage.
