The Self Does Not Need to Be Liberated

- How does non-duality account for concepts such as reincarnation and self-liberation? What happens to our being when the body dies? And how can we escape the so-called cycle of death and rebirth?
Rupert says: ‘When the body dies, the being that we essentially are, won’t reincarnate because it was never incarnate, or in the body, in the first place. It won’t reunite with infinite being because it never stood as a separate being apart from infinite being. Your being is God’s being, and there is only infinite being or God’s being.
‘Only something that is bound needs to be liberated. So, look at your self. Not the self that you seem to be - your thoughts, feelings, sensations, and perceptions - but the self that you essentially are, and see if it is bound, or if it needs to be liberated. See if it is endarkened and thus needs to be enlightened. Find that out first and then think about liberation if you need to.’

I imagine what it would be like to have been in Rupert's "I AM" class in grades 5, 6 & 7 at school. How much less confusion would I have suffered by now at 62 years old?

What I don't quite understand is that Rupert says that a body is what a bundles of sensations looks like from a third party point of view through the senses. However when I look at my own throbbing foot I also see what could be called my own body, not a bundle of sensations. Apologies if I have explained my point inadequately...
On the inside you feel the foot as a bundle of sensations , through an other faculty of those sensations you also see your foot , that is what those sensations your foot looks like from the perspective of the outside. So yes you are seeing an image of what you feel is your foot. Others will just see the image the body the foot without the sensations. You the awareness feel see interpret all of this. Even if your foot was removed you the awareness would be the one who experiences the absence of the foot.

But why should consciousness want to experience the world? How can the unqualified consciousness be desirous?
It’s simply the nature of consciousness. There is no other answer to the question why. I have come to the conclusion that there is no good nor evil and infinite consciousness is localizing as infinite finite consciousnesses to experience itself as existence in as many infinite ways as possible.
Infinite perspectives create an inability to perceive Rupert explains this in other videos. It's like if you take an imagine and put it on a screen, then you take 2 images and superimpose them on top of each other, initially it's difficult to see and truly perceive what's seperate in each image. If you then do that 2 more times the images become darker and even more difficult to distinguish. Do this Infinite times for the infinite perspectives of the universe or/ needed to perceive everything and you'd perceive only darkness like when you mix all the colours together. Consciousness manifests to experience it's being
Here's a question. If the goal is to connect with the awareness or the real self and dissociate from the thoughts/feels of the separate self ... then here's the question. Who is making that choice? Who is the decision maker?
The decision maker is the separate self “ego” who “believes” they are separate. Instead of “trying” to connect with awareness- just KNOW that I AM Awareness. ❤
@@patriciamcdermott1367 I'm afraid you have mistaken someone else's religious ideology as the Truth of Existence in Itself.
If you want to promote a consciousness (awareness) only model, then, you must first understand what it implies.
What Rupert is promoting is not a consciousness only model as many are led to believe. What Rupert is doing is marketing a religious view on Existence which comes from and rooted in religions and their ideologies, traditions and beliefs. Which represents a belief in duality based on self ignorance and self dishonesty which are two main forms of self deception.
Religion views Existence in terms of a deity and a devil. The deity is always showered with only the desirable and wishful qualities such as all good and all loving, while the devil is blamed and held accountable for all that is seen as the bad and the ugly. This is Duality.
Praising one while blaming another is only possible under duality. In other words, both the deity and the devil must have their own independent existence from each other in order to be praised and blamed separately.
The only thing that changes under Rupert's religious ideology is naming and labeling. Doctrine remains the same.
Under Rupert's religious ideology, the all good and all loving deity of religion becomes an all peace and all happiness consciousness and the devil becomes mind and finite mind. Same doctrine same belief, only different labels. This is Duality being sold under the packaging of non-duality.
Religion says the deity is never responsible for the sufferings. All blames were conveniently placed on another imaginary entity the Devil.

Self deception in the form of religious ideologies have always managed to get the majority of humanity to believe and accept their claims about Existence. By speaking Truth? Of course not. Far from it.
Self deception has always won throughout history, because it always makes its bets on the ignorance of many. Just as it is doing now.
One can never be too careful, nor be contemplative enough, when it comes to understanding the nature of Existence as Is in Itself.

It would only make sense if the teacher can explain who god is and how god derived in reality for you the intelligent species to be a god's BEING, otherwise it is just a " YOURS is NOT to QUESTION just BELIEVE situation".
Fortunately the lady's Self Source within has enlightened her of her individual Soul of her Being, well it's more that her Individual Being Soul is a Spark. I mean what the lady is saying would not have been said by her in the first place if there wasn't a Soul thats Individual to her to question, which means her Self Source within has enlightened her of her individuality and is requiring to be LIBERATED which is really just asking to be RECOGNISED by her/your physical brain that the Self is there within and how it derived. This is something teachers and guru's do not have a clue about.
Elements fusing formulae produces a spark which is your Iteration Function which keeps your physical body and brain operating. Elements from the Universe has a symbiotic relationship with Biology which is you the intelligent species. No God hand a hand in that process. You will find elements and biology symbiotic relationship in your human molecule which has sparked its iteration function.
Once Elements fuse and spark, it's imprinted knowledge derives due to it's formulae of fusing elements , that imprinted knowledge is your individuality and is passed on via reproduction which at some point will be recognised as REINCARNATION by one of your future lineage.

They're free to walk away from an abusive relationship but for some reason they don't.
The mind wants to imagine forward and the ego wants to remain in form after death. We humans are built to look forward to a better future. We imagine a form based heaven when heaven and hell are just human concepts. We can experience both heaven and hell right here in our temporary forms on earth, and can let go of needing a form based heaven by realizing the true eternal infinite nature of our being. We imagine a new form for ourselves in a fantasy of physical reincarnation after death when we are constantly reincarnating within our own lives as we come in and out of consciousness. That's my take on it.
Reincarnation sounds like a self perpetuating loop or simulated prison (portrayed in Westworld TV show).
Your take on it is liberating erics498 ; indeed the endless viewpoints about reincarnation are often mind and ego constructs as I see now from your comment . How would You see karma from that perspective ?

I deleted my reply because it sounded too certain. I don’t know enough about it to say what it is or is not. I do think the concept is misunderstood in the West because Western religions have a God who judges and punishes. So Karma in Western minds is the interpretation of the “getting what one deserves” idea. I don’t think it’s that at all though. I think it’s more closely aligned with nature and being in touch with the higher self so as not to create suffering unnecessarily and realizing our actions cause effects which can be both positive and negative.

Do anybody now what role ethics and morality play in the non-dual teaching? Sometimes when I hear other people on UA-cam speak about ethics, they sound very close to nihilists in their reasoning. I heard one girl saying that "there is no right nor wrong, you can do what you want". In this day and age I can only see trouble from such a statement.
Theirs really isn’t no right or wrong. One thing you think is right can be wrong to someone else & vice versa. Theirs only polarity but both good & evil are the same thing. & both are needed ☯️ it’s all perspective.
It seems to me that most contemporary non-dual teaching doesn't touch much on morality, and I find that troubling. In Tibetan Buddhism, which clearly points to non-duality, there is a non-negotiable emphasis on compassion, with reminders about it at every stage. That means people have to engage with it again and again and question their own actions of body, speech and mind.
There is a saying: "Compassion without wisdom (meaning non-duality) is foolishness; wisdom without compassion is bondage."
I started my own channel to address this matter.
Relativism is meaningful up to a point - each to their own etc - but it has its limits, and those limits are useful.
The thing is there is no right or wrong cuz someone right can be wrong from the perspective of another person.. The thing is when oneness is experienced by a human being, the 'I' vanishes, so everything done by that human being without the 'I' is done in Love.. who would want to hurt another human or animal or demean them as a form of love that's why love is simply a state of being, state of being conscious.. no will consciously harm other, only in the case of when ego wants something for itself..
So whatever you want.
Seems like ego excuse to cause mayhem.
But also. What you really want. The deep you?
The deep us wants to be peaceful and happy.
And if we are not, what negative we throw out into the world returns back as karma. Teaching us to be peaceful and happy.

How does a phenomenon ever do anything? Consciousness as a phenomenon of being, doesn't assume anything. It doesn't even create... The closest depiction is things happen because of its presence, in its presence
Consciousness as Rupert uses it IS Being. It is not a phenomenon. It is All there is.
@@Bobsbigbuoy definition of the word phenomenon is fact of appearing, something which appeared and is, being. It's really not an entity with an agenda. If it were so, if consciousness is an entity with an agenda it would mock up a universe, it would not build it from scratch. But there is no agenda, there's just the fact of being. All i'm trying to get to is that the Being is not an individual perspective with ability to push an agenda the way Rupert describes it, it really pokes my ear when he does it 😅 somewhat misleading. Consciousness doesn't forget its own nature. Not even in human form. The universe would collapse the moment that consciousness stopped being what it is. The phenomenon
And so what has been and still is sorely needed is a clear explanation of the way (spiritual) things actually are; from Jesus’ “enter ye in at the narrow gate” to “the kingdom is within”, to Ramana Maharshi’s exhortations on the quiescent mind, and “the Self”; “we” are actually (all) one and the same spirit that for whatever reason(s) appear split into many nonexistent egos afraid out of their collective wits and living on planet Earth. The ego does not and has never existed, we all are “that” singular spirit that cannot be seen or objectified in any way yet it can be “felt” somehow and that is how “we are lead” to the enlightenment of no one realizing that “we are the one invisible self” that was never bound. The entire problem is one of misidentification with that which appears to exist but does not by a real and invisible ONE me. We were never told that everyone, everything and “the father” are (is) one; to look within for that which is invisible which we all and everything is. There is no god, god is and you are that but you can’t see it…
None of this intense self observing is of any use to the great majority of ordinary people just struggling to survive. What have you got to offer to them mr. Spira? Jesus healed the sick and spent time with the poor and the Holy Spirit over 2000 years has transformed people without all this navel gazing. The danger of self absorption seems huge with all this. You need more balance. This is spirituality for the privileged and very few.

Jesus Christ was about "Forgiveness" even on the Cross he spoke of Forgiveness. We forgive each other, we forgive to release us, ourselves from behaviours, as to release us from the past. To judge Rupert is to place yourself as superior to him. Rupert promotes peace, God is peace, our True Nature is at Peace. We are that peace, always at Peace. The behaviours of form, activities of form won't disturb The Screen, The screen of life allows the activities to happen.....Rupert reconnect us to our True Nature that always shines in the background.
