      He would not have walked THAT DEEP onto the field if he didn't think a "Time Out" was granted. Guidry wasn't yelling at the Referees , he was yelling at his players. That's why Cristobal was questioning why a Time Out wasn't granted. Ridiculous. 3 "Unsportsmanlike Conducts" called in North Carolina Stadium. Clearly the Referees were trying to RIG this one. Miami Dominated the Whole 1st half even with the turnovers & Unsportsmanlike conduct calls. I mean ONLY the University ot Miami would be called for B.S. like that. The RULES were created by the NCAA in the 1980's because of the University of Miami. LMAO.

      Even if true, which I doubt, the coach can't come on to the field to do it. There are TWO officials on the sideline, either of which can shut the play down for a timeout. Crews don't have a problem with coaches coming down the sideline to call TOs, but coming on the field is a big no-no. Additionally, most teams have their own "rules" where only the head coaches call timeouts. They tell the officials that prior to the game. The most benign explanation here is that he thought the TO had already been granted, but it hadn't.

      @@repealthepatriotactnah, he fucked up and Miami should have been given a delay of game for this whole debacle. Yes, you have a right to substitute, but if you are fucking around in the process, you deserve a penalty.

      @@troybaxter so when he's calling for a timeout and the officials are just looking at him and waiting for the play to start so they can throw a flag for 12 men on the field... what would you suggest? Maybe he should have ran to the locker room and tried calling a timeout?

    • @troybaxter
      @troybaxter 11 місяців тому

      @@alanparks3402 maybe wait for the ref to acknowledge you called a timeout or get the head coach to do it. It's not like UNC can snap the ball while you are subbing.

    The umpire had no business delaying the potential snap so that one team could get subs in/out to begin with! Miami was already getting preferential treatment.

      That’s actually proper according to the rules. UNC had already substituted, and by rule, the defense is given an opportunity to match so that offenses can’t make changes and then snap the ball before the defense get an opportunity to respond.

    Alright team huddle up before the game, your coaches here at Miami are committed to doing more than just teach you sports. Following up on last weeks lesson we are reinforcing the F Around and Find Out lesson when you test the boundries of simple logic and authority figures. We hope this lesson serves you well in your future work endevours as we have done everything we can to ensure Pro Football scouts don't see any tape of you because we coaches are in all the highlight films not you.
    Go team!

    I’m absolutely done hearing about Miami, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and this season especially, Colorado. Aside from the latter, somehow, those teams always get hype for some god awful reason without having done anything meaningful. And Colorado…don’t mention them again this season…overhyped, and finally what I knew would be irrelevant, trash

      "All sizzle, no steak" is a motto for the many teams in organized spectator sports in general. Losers get famous, winners don't. Ironic that the closer football comes to being a meritocracy, the farther away from the goal it actually is.
