Man those saws are both outrageous. Growing up my step dad always ran huskies so naturally I’m with him on that. But that’s like preferring dodge over chev because someone else does. I’m curious which one you think is the superior saw out of these two. I realize my last statement sounds silly asking you that lol. But I’d like as many opinions as possible because I can’t afford to buy one of each to find out.
There both good saws the 500 is light and powerful the 592 is a bit heavier but better on fuel honestl stock saw against stock saw i think id get the 592 due to the fact of its cheaper and to get the 500 to perform like the 592 in power and anti vibe u gott put after market parts on them
@@MitchellsBackyardLogging thanks for the advise. I watched a ton of comparison videos on them and I agree with what you just said. Some of those videos were just like I said. Because a guy was a die hard Sthil fan and that’s what the majority of people ran in his area he chose the sthil. He had a very biased opinion. Like dodge or Chevy. I appreciate the honest opinion and the why. I don’t work in the forestry business, I just really like chainsaws so I want one. Don’t need anything that big either. It’s just for firewood. I do live in bc Canada though and we’ve got some massive timber here. I was thinking about getting one of those jigs for sawing boards with a chainsaw. Also kind of why I was looking at a big saw with some real power
He is a great cutter, knows exactly when to stop cutting. Nice saws, that muscle chainsaw 595 is pure power. 500i is great, lots of power for its weight. 😊
Im sure it will both good saws a 500 will pull a 28 comfortably and a 32 if the chains right in hardwoods with just a simple muff mod and v stack set up im sure it will do it stock as well idk what kind of wood u cutting but around here i can fell about any tree with a 28
Kind of silly proving that a Mack truck can pull a landscaping trailer at least as steady as a 1/2 ton pickup. Put a 36" bar on these and bury it in hardwood...the 592xp will spank the 500i.
Im not talking about mack truck or any kind of truck where do u see mack trucks and i doubt it my 500 is ported and even with a 3ft bar it will still out due the 592 you dont have to be upset its just a video its ok that u like the 592 i have one as well the 500 is ported its just content to watch i didnt realize u had stock in the 592 my apologies if this video cost u any sleepless nights
I own both and brand means nothing to me but my 500i and my 592xp are some tough saws. The husqvarna is way easier to modify/ work on. If im cutting something big i get the 592 and if im cutting smaller stuff i get the 500i
The point of the test is not too knock the husky its to show how much the 500 gained anyone with common sense knows a 592 will or should beat a 500 its more cc it also weighs a ton more dont be silly

I love my 500i when having to carry it up and down hills all day! But a ported 592 is in another league!

That 592 sounds amazing. Dealer I went to today sells both brands I went with a 500i it's a lighter saw, hope it does what I want.

It's nice to see that someone knows how to sharpin a chain. Thats how a good sharp saw pulls in the wood . Very nice video
