And yet people still put all their information, including their children, all our there. I remember a story a few years ago where someone posted a picture of a flag on a pole in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere in Ohio. 4Channers were still able to figure out its location, track it down, and change the flag. It was one of those stories that was both impressive and alarming.

And (mercarii for example) USED to, if someone bought from you on mercarii.. the buyers name or username (usually name), address would stay in your sales history.
Now at least it disappears after you click send.
But you have no clue who you're buying from. Or how they store/what they do with your information.
You don't get credit card or anything of that from there.
But people use their real photos. A lot of times conversate a lot in messages before/after buying.
Harmless sounding questions, or even information slips on your part could have consequences.

Otherwise he would have sought help. As a last resort you could offer a choice between therapy or being locked up. Once you release them, they just do it again and in no time, end up jailed once more. It should be acknowledged that these people take pleasure in hurting others, it is not needed a mental disorder for that, and yes, it is sick and terrible, but people that demonstrate those behaviors should NOT be excused, they cannot be cured if they aren't sick, which often is the case.

If he has charges like that, he is a felon, which means he isn’t allowed to have a weapon. His weapon is either stolen or illegally purchased. Gunshops make a complete background check and would be in trouble selling a gun to a felon. America has good laws, the problem is criminals don’t freaking care about freaking laws, that’s why they are criminals. It’s really not that difficult to understand. If those women in the video would have been gun owners they would never been that scared, just show your gun and they run. But ofc that would be in the way of the new victim-mentality trend. 🙄

Actually that's incorrect. Please fully fact-check instead of pasting the first thing you see appear on Google search results - as it's a leading cause of spreading misinformation.
What you're quoting is an excerpt from the South China Morning Post which does show up when searching Ena Matsuoka, but on visiting the news article you'll see that the article is actually about someone else - and then redirects to the story about Ena Matsuoka.
The person you're describing is actually Mayu Tomita - also an idol - who was stabbed numerous times by a crazed fan because he was angry she returned gifts that he'd sent her. The most ridiculous part was that she was aware of the threat before hand (he sent numerous death threats) but the police disregarded it as not being a serious situation. On the plus side, anti-stalking laws were toughened from this tragic event so chances are Hibiki Sato was penalized much more harshly as a result than he would have a few years prior.

I had a similar experience, I was waiting outside with my dog for my mom to get out of Publix. And, where I was standing happened to be next to a small pile of firewood for sale. And I mean SMALL pile, like maybe 10-11 wrapped bundles. So I’m standing there, and this man comes to look at the selection of fire wood, which, obviously, perfectly acceptable. But, it soon became very noticeable that he kept looking at the fire wood directly behind and directly to the side of where I was standing. This whole situation just felt wrong to me. I live in Florida, and the firewood Publix sells is more of a holiday novelty item than anything else, even with all the crazy colder weather we’ve been getting. And who takes 10 minutes to look at a single grouping of firewood? I was so uncomfortable that I walked back to the car with my dog, and making sure he didn’t follow me. Luckily we parked far back enough in the parking lot so following me would make him look very suspicious to other people since I live in an area where people tend to have other peoples’ back…it’s so horrible

She called me immediately scared and thankfully my friend who is a security officer there was working and he took care of it while the girls walked quickly to the car while I was still on FaceTime with them. Out of nowhere this guy grabs me by the wrist, pulls me back and tries to kiss me. I was mortified and pushed him away, I thought maybe he was mistaken me for someone, but after looking at him, I could tell he was on something (his pupils were huge). One of my male friends noticed and came over to us and and basically told him to get lost. He said, "Sorry, I'm going to call my mom now. Then he sat on the curb.

As a J-pop idol fan, I'm gonna share something that makes this even more scary and unpredictable: most of the things you shared aren't actually rare in wota culture (wota = idol fan).
Idols in Japan aren't some famous super pro singers, they're normal girls who want to dance, sing and entertain. Girls you want to see grow as artists and people, at least that's how I and many of my wota friends feel.
Because they're not famous, the job is not that well paying... Any kind of support is welcomed, so they'll buy chekis the most (the signed polaroids), but any merch and going to their lives is also welcomed. Wotas usually are very intense in supporting their idols, which is also a cultural thing (getting hyperfixated on something it's so common in Japan, possible due to the working and life environment). So as you were saying all of the things he did, I didn't feel any of the things he did were out of the ordinary, until he tried to find where Ena lived... That's why I find it twice as scary, because by wota standards he was a normal dude just supporting his oshi (favorite idol).
My acquaintances buy chekis and take them off to places to eat with them and take aesthetic photos, they buy all the merch, try to go to every live... But never ever have they tried to get into the idol's personal life, we support what they decide to show us and nothing more. We know it's their job, the least we can do to be thankful is respect them.

When i was in MIDDLE SCHOOL ( about 13)- I went to the mall with my mom and was looking through manga at Barnes & Noble. I was very obviously a minor, on top of that I would've only been about 4'11''. Regardless of what I was wearing, I was in an oversized mens t-shirt and a thick plain skirt that went well below my knees. It was the middle of the day, completely bright out, and filled with plenty of other people. Some creep was going around fiddling with the manga blatantly pretending to blend in and act normal. As I worked my way down the shelves, he kept doing this while just ogling me the whole time. To paint a picture, this was a smaller area with shelves in a boxed arrangement (shelves on three sides with an open fourth). We were on a second floor with a large open middle - this was in the direction of the 4th open side. Against the railing were many small tables and displays as well as large supporting columns (At least 4 feet in diameter). Between one table and a pillar, my mom was sat down on the floor, unintentionally hiding out of view from others - to the point where someone could easily walk passed her and not even notice her and her 98lbs, service dog beside her. Completely oblivious to this guy beside me, my mom's dog picked up on his behavior and body language and started to growl at him. Sweetest dog I've met, she is never an aggressive dog, but she was ready to stand up to protect us from this guy. This guy bolted out of there so fast once he realized I wasn't alone. It's scary knowing the people out there, and what could've happened if I was alone and this guy followed me out to the parking lot. Always be aware of your surroundings - even if its light out and even if you aren't alone.
