@@Registered_Nomads I miss the babies and their families. I also dislike 8hr days 40 hours a week!! I used to work 2 / 12 hrs a week. Otherwise I really like it! Interesting and keeps my brain exercised! Lol. Love to not commute and able to travel. 😊😊.
We looked into prior to the trip but decided not to. We carried an extra 10 gallons with and never had to use it (thankfully). It would've been nice to have the extra range though!
Yahoo, that is amazing! A true trip of a lifetime. That is great. Thanks for sharing your adventure to that magnificent state. Take care and safe travels. Dave.
We actually keep our generator in the RV, in a bin between the rear opposing slides. We were worried about the gas smell but we keep the gas can elsewhere and it hasn’t been a problem.
I ran up to Fairbanks and down into the Keni a couple of weeks ago. I took a picture of your sticker on the Alaska sign. Not sure how to attach it to show you though.
We have a storage tote in there for our cold weather gear. Also the flooring isn't reinforced to handle that weight, due to ours not being generator prepped. It would be great to have an onboard next time!
Drove the Alaska highway last year. That road gets nasty from destruction bay to Tok Alaska. Never seen a sink fall out , but that's better then a broken axle. Heard from a RV tech the number one problem are fifth wheel and trailer axle failures.
We are sorry to see that you had issues with your sink and the windshield. You have a good attitude about when things don't go as planned. What cameras are you using to record your journey? It looks like you taking a rapid transit through Canada. For our trip in 2024, we plan to head to Alaska and spend up to three weeks to traverse Canada and two weeks for the return. We plan to enter Canada around May 1st.
We went into this trip knowing that something was likely going to break, and honestly that's just a general rule of RV life haha. We are using a mirrorless cannon eos camera and gopro max for most of our recordings. We had a bit of time crunch due to other obligations in the fall, so we went fast through Canada to maximize our time in Alaska. Next time we would do what you're planning and take our time. Canada is so beautiful!
Loved watching you fix the sink! We use the rubbery whelp liners on our counter and our coffee pot has never budged! Toaster too. What time of year did you leave for Alaska?
We stayed at Cottonwood Park in Prince George. It's right next to the Central British Columbia Railway and Forestry Museum. We did not dump here, but we used iOverlander app (free version) to find the majority of all the free camping and dump stations on our way to Alaska! Safe travels, and enjoy your trip to Alaska!! It's by far our favorite to date!
REALLY GOOD JOB ON THE VID. WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUR VIEWS INCREASE. wE'LL HANG AROUND FOR SURE. wE ARE EX-ALASKANS AND CURRENT RVER'S ALWAYS LOOKING TO INCREASE OUR TRIBE!
Did you have any problems with fuel coming in and out of Alaska? We are planning to go in July with the same RV as you and want to know if we should be prepared for any complications with fuel.
We did not have any problems finding fuel. Although, we did carry 10 gallons just in case, but we never had to use it. Have a wonderful trip, it's one you won't forget! Safe Travels.
How steep or bad where any switch backs? Looking at possibly pulling our camper and MilePost says hard switch backs? Would ya do it again or just stick to the ALCAN?
We didn't think it was bad at all. A few of the areas get a little tight, but just take your time. We past plenty of semis as well. We plan to go again in the next couple years as well! Both routes are great to take if you can.
This was vacation time for us. Although, it would be cool to work there for a season :) That's what insurance is for haha. But, in all honesty we were lucky that it cracked towards the passenger so we didn't have to deal with replacing until we got back home. Thanks for watching!
From an ICU nurse to another I love your way of thinking snd your care and careful ways!! I did NICU for 20+ yrs. Now I work remote and do CDI.
That's awesome! How do you like your remote work? We appreciate your work in the NICU!

Nice video, I would definitely be looking into the S&B bigger fuel tank.

Our trip took 6 months from Las Vegas to Alaska and back. Most of the boondocking sites
Had No Overnight stoping signs in them in Canada
We hope to boondock more next time. That sounds like a great trip you took!
What an awesome trip. We cruised Alaska years ago but hopefully next year we will make the trip! Looking forward to your adventures. Safe travels.
A cruise would be a lot of fun! The drive is worth it, hope you can make it!

Thank you, it was awesome! Safe travels to you as well.
You guys are amazing to fix the sink on the road! I’m sending a donation
Thank you so much! It's very appreciated! :)
congratulations on making it to Alaska. Love the video. Safe travels 🙏. The same thing happened to our windshield. Amazing scenery. 👏
It was an amazing trip! Alaska was worth the broken windshield haha
We actually keep our generator in the RV, in a bin between the rear opposing slides. We were worried about the gas smell but we keep the gas can elsewhere and it hasn’t been a problem.
That's a great idea! We have moved ours underneath as well.
Looks like having a great trip, we also look forward to taking this route
It’s a beautiful drive. It was an amazing trip!
We are planning on a 3 week RV trip to Alaska next year. My husband can't wait!
That is awesome!
Thanks!
Thank you so much! Safe Travels!!
Bad design for the sink that lip should be sitting on the top of your counter! At least you guys got it fixed!
For sure! At least nothing major broke. Thank you for watching!
Gee, the RV isn't built to last, is that right?
What a great trip! I hope to be able to drive there myself some day.
We highly recommend it!
Wow 10hour travel day pulling a rig, that’s a long day!
Believe it or not, that's not the longest travel day we've done, but it's up there!
I ran up to Fairbanks and down into the Keni a couple of weeks ago. I took a picture of your sticker on the Alaska sign. Not sure how to attach it to show you though.
If you have instagram you can follow and tag us in the picture there! That's really cool that you were able to find it! Thank you for watching!
No room in the front compartment where they usually stash generators? We had a generator in ours when we bought. It was one of our must haves!
We have a storage tote in there for our cold weather gear. Also the flooring isn't reinforced to handle that weight, due to ours not being generator prepped. It would be great to have an onboard next time!

That is the worst part of the road for sure! Oh my, I am very glad that didn’t happen!
Had a friend with a fifth wheel toy hauler, he had 2 axles replaced. 100 gal fresh water tank put him overweight.

Oh, were going to have to check out those liners, thanks for the tip! We left Washington state in July!
Shelf not whelp 😏! Lol
Great video! What was the first boondocking location in Prince George? Was it the same place you dumped and got water? We're planning our route!!

NEVER EVER beep ur horn at a moose.
I’ve seen what a pissed off moose can do to a semi truck.
My wife and I are both RNs. Planning on traveling the lower 48 this year and then on to Alaska in 2024. What month were you driving up to Alaska?
Hello fellow nurses! We drove there in July and August, overall we had beautiful weather.
It looks like your bedroom slide does not close completely on the bottom.
We found this out in a later video! keep watching :)
REALLY GOOD JOB ON THE VID. WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUR VIEWS INCREASE. wE'LL HANG AROUND FOR SURE. wE ARE EX-ALASKANS AND CURRENT RVER'S ALWAYS LOOKING TO INCREASE OUR TRIBE!
Thank you for watching! We would as well 😊
Can I asked when month was this

So is this a vacation or is one of you going there for work? I am sorry about your windshield. 😢

Are those Anderson blocks for your front jacks magnetic?
Yes they are! We have them for all 6 jacks and they work great to help with stability as well.
