It is great to find you on UA-cam. We are in the middle of planning our trip from Florida to Alaska in 2024. Flexibility is critical in travel plans. While you had to change plans, it adds to the adventure. We look forward to follow your adventure to Alaska.

I am planning on crossing the Alaska Border with my dog in our 2023 Little Guy Max, Rough Rider edition. Once we finish our map, it's go time.

Be sure to do your ArriveCAN. You can fill out ArriveCAN way before. You just can’t pick/choose border crossing point until 72 hours before. We did the trip in2022.

ArriveCAN has been basically retired since COVID hysteria has finally ended,
save your old cord and you can replace the ends or you can make different length cords with it

Are you guys from Wisconsin? I saw David wearing a Wisconsin badgers shirt was just curious. I lived in Wisconsin when I was young and live in Michigan now! Alaska is on our bucket list. Not sure we’ll take our RV up there. Everyone says the roads will beat ya to death and the RV .
Yes we are. Michigan is beautiful, especially the UP. However you get there it'll be amazing! We still think the drive is worth it and would do it again in a heartbeat.
When you went to Alaska, did you book campgrounds ahead of time?
We did not book Chena Hot Springs as its first come first serve nor where we stayed in Fairbanks. But we did reserve the rest of our destinations ahead of time. I'd say we reserved about 1-2 months ahead of leaving the lower 48.
Do you feel it was necessary to pre-book or could you have winged it? Maybe boondock occasionally? We like to live by no time limits if possible.
RN here. What kind of travel nursing do you do? I work CDI remotely. Daughter lives in Canada , Quebec , going end sept in our rv. Planning on Alaska lord willing next summer.
That sounds like an amazing trip! I would also be interested in a remote job someday to be able to travel more freely. David travels primarily ICU with Neuro ICU speciality.
@@Registered_Nomads We are on the road now. Canada and Vermont here we come. I did NICU for almost 20 yrs
