The 1080 range steels work really well for outdoors cutting. Hard enough and tough enough. It works well in knives. Thin saw blades usually run a little softer around 1075 or so. But this saw has more body to it than a bow saw blade, so it can be a little harder and less springy.
SK5 is the old JIS name that is still commonly used even though it has been renamed to SK85. It is most similar to 1086 plus just a touch of chromium for some extra surface hardening.
You may have heard of 80CRV2 being used on some of the tougher Finnish outdoor knives, which is like 1080 with a light dusting of chromium, vanadium and molybdenum for some extra hardening, much in the style of O1. Yet another popular 1080-ish outdoors steel.
This saw has a really nice design. I'm guessing it was inspired by the Gerber DoubleDown balisong-style machete. It might only show up from Chinese vendors due to possible patent lawsuits if attempted by a U.S. or European company. It would be nice to see a more stable vendor pick it up if possible.
If it was taken up by Fiskars or Bahco, then you might see the blade-stick addressed by tapering the blade thickness or setting the teeth a little wider and maybe with slightly better choices on the tooth counts and tooth hardening. A dedicated saw blade maker might put a little chromium on the teeth or a nice differential hardening.

I was thinking this channel had around 200-300k subscribers and only looked at the counter about halfway through. Safe to say my mind was blown!
This saw looks really nice in my opinion, and the safety aspect of the handle fully covering the blade would make me a lot more comfortable having it in my bag without worry. It looks like it's easy to take apart and maintain which I feel is crucial for something you're gonna be taking out into the elements, and for 15 quid you can't really go wrong even if it only lasts a year or so. Overall great review!

Wow! That's an honour for sure! Thank you! In all honesty, this is my third channel now. My first had 5k subs before it was "hacked," shall we say, and my second channel, which was only recently deleted very kindly by youtube themselves after nearing monetisation status again. This is my last attempt. Fingers crossed, this one stays. Thanks very much for the kind words. Take it easy.

If you think about it this is actually a really good idea.
    1) you get 2 blades vs 1. In theory it will last twice as long
    2) if you know what you're doing with woodworking this is the optimal saw design for cutting a dove tail notch or cutting wood dowels. Both beneficial in bushcraft.
    3) is very small and compact if that's your thing.

It is a very good option for the price 👌 and a bit different from other offerings on the market. If you enjoy building camp furniture, it could be a good option. Take it easy.

I think that is a sweet looking saw. The price is fair and it did look like it would pair up with a Bushbox stove very well. Good review my friend. P.S. Again that's for looking me up!

It was a cool little saw for the money. It has since been re homed, but it was fun and effective to use. Like you said, it's a great companion for a small stick stove. Thanks for stopping by Daniel. Take care, my friend.

Disney's Snow White sounds like crap on a cracker. When it bombs, the folks at Disney shouldn't be at all surprised. Give 'em hell Flash.

    It's a nice little saw.
Maybe 50 small trees have been cut down with it so far, works great.
Thanks for the competition in the original video 👏🏕️
