Good video, easy enough to access. subbed.
Gorgeous Tiger, I have the 900 RP black and white. Wanted the Triumph Green but just could t get ahold of one. Great video! Love the Australian everything!!
Hi Charles Thanks for the comment champ ,they are a great bike I have to admit
regards Marcio
You can also see the mileage on the maintenance panel, if you see Tire pressure press left / right and it will show days until next service and the current total mileage.
Much thanks for showing how the side panels are removed. A couple other videos I found do not. There are indeed tight, and I could not tell..
Hi KK yer a lot of video's don't, and they are tight if you just pull they way I showed and wriggle it a bit they will come off
I have another the video on the mods I done, that worth watching a well
it could save you having a flat battery
Hi, you are lucky to live somewhere where it is dry and dusty. Back in the UK the air filter will pick up a few bits like dead flies and a small amount of road dust but it mostly turns black due to poor air quality.
Hi Adrian
Wow that's unbelievable, scary had no idea that it was like that over there, my daughter used to go to the uk modeling when things where normal and everyone could travel and she has never mentioned anything like that, is there no forests anywhere reasonably close to you say 200klm

Thanks
no probs
Hi marcio, that air filter is dirty, but did its job. Checked mine today after 2600klms not as bad as yours, when following other riders in dust, have to check more often, cheers chris.
Hi Chris
yep there was heaps in the filter hey!! one guy on Facebook said he wrap a chux around the filter and cleans it after every couple of rides and uses a pre filter at the intake,
I made my own pre filter out of a dish washing sponge I cut the green scourer off and put it on the front of the intake ( I'II see if it works
I looked to see if I could buy one, but haven't had any luck yet) I say the sponge will work 👍
Then after every ride I will clean the intake sponge and keep my eye on the chux after a couple of rides 🤣 watch out Sadie

That should help, there is a guy on you tube who put in afternarket filter and dust went straight through engine , stick with stock filter for now. Cheers marcio.
@@chriskrstev7357 100% will do
I think you'll find the sponge restricts the air flow too much. I ended up cutting the intake snorkel in half to make enough room to make a small wire cage, that I then put an oiled 4wd snorkel filter over. Seems to work pretty well, but needs to be cleaned after every dusty ride. The paper filter is like new. You need the extra surface area for a pre filter. It will be too restrictive just to place foam across the intake, especially as it fills with dust
Hi Mick
thanks for the heads up I was a bit worried about that as well just blocking the intake another guy Matt did the same he put a older truimph rocket 3 air filter sock over he's
the link is in Matts comments

You should be cleaning air filter after every ride if you ride behind others in the dust(Like in SA) and grease the lip of the air filter to stop dust into air box.Cheers.
Hi Bruce
thank champ will do 100%
Probably down to the area you ride in mate. But as you say it's done it's job 😂
The air filter is doing its job, but where is sucking air from, behind the rear wheel, so much dirt in the filter. At least you don't need to take the tank off, like the 800's
Hi Rob that would be a bit of a headache wouldn't it having to take the tank off every time yer I do a lot off sliding / spinning the rear wheel that's why my mates tiger has done 5000k's and he said his was no where near as bad as mine
one guy told me about whapping a chux around it and he said it help heaps he cleans it after every couple of rides

Morning, Afternoon, Evening lol what ever time it is over there for you lol, quick question & I'm sure you may have been asked this before, have you had any subframe issues of any sort, or any frame issues of any sort since you have owned this bike, I'm looking to buy the RP however I have seen some folks posting about cracked frames etc, I have been informed that the OEM top crash bars are not trust worthy, any information on this would be great, cracking videos
Hi Moto Tripper
the same to you champ Morning, Afternoon, Evening what ever time it is over there for you 🤣,
the one issue I have had is a cracked sump because of how the OEM bash plate is mounted
under the sump, it has a rubber washer with a metal insert to take the bolt 🤦♂️ and when you hit something hard like a log it pushes the bash plate up and low and behold the metal washer into the bottom of the sump ( bad design in my opinion) a couple of video back I think , on my channel there's a video about it, ua-cam.com/video/TUfkob6cSaU/v-deo.html
We are looking into the SRC bash plate My friend, who I pay to be my friend🤣
Has ordered it and I'm waiting to see it in the real life, to see if I like it if so I will do a video about it as well
Regarding the OEM crash bars I've had no problems there save my bike a few times
one of my video's where I broke my ribs this video is part 3
part 1 is where you see it go down
ua-cam.com/video/FCnQeywGLPU/v-deo.html
The OEM bars they hit pretty hard on the side and no damage to the bike also I've gone down it a few times and they did well
there's
Hope it helps Champ

@@ozbiker5311 it's evening here now lol, yeh I seen that video bud, bit of bad position for a lame sump guard and luckily it wasn't worse, I'm gonna take the plunge and get the bike, think I'll leave the top crash bars out just now, just waiting on at fault drivers insurance paying out after he knocked me off my GSX-S1000FZ and written the thing off....bloody gutted mate, still recovering from injuries sustained but getting there, I'll watch the rest of your videos to have a look at what I'm missing so much lol, all the best & thanks for your response, much appreciated buddy, take care and stay safe 👍
@@mototripperuk what a bummer hope you heal soon
You wont regret there a great bike heaps better than the KTM's 790 and 890 heaps of problems with them there about 8 guys that ride with us and there bikes are in the work shops form months now ,waiting on some new engines and others new boxes and clutch's
my friend sold his tiger and got the Ktm 890 its been back to the workshop about 4 times they can't fix the problem, it only starts on 1 cylinder until it warms up
he regrets selling the tiger 🐅big time
I've heard the Aprilia tuareg 660 is meant to good as well, only off reviews, when it comes here I'm going to test ride it and go from there
But the tiger is nothing like the GSX in power
same to you champ ride safe talk soon
Marcio👍
@@ozbiker5311 I've heard a lot about the KTM's not being great, it's a shame the lads are without their bikes.... I know exactly how they feel, had an Indian Scout Bobber that was always back at the dealer, in the end I returned the bike under the right to reject act & got my stunning GSX-S1000FZ, never missed a heartbeat & it was fast as fk....however I'm getting older now & need to calm things down a bit, the RP will never be like the GSX-S1000FZ I know however I need a change now and the adventure bike takes my fancy, been nice chatting to you, I'm from a little town called Kelso in the Scottish Borders UK so from me to you have a great day buddy & chat again soon mucker.
Hi Mucker
love the comment - .however I'm getting older now & need to calm things down a bit,🤣

then got the Black 21 Ducati V4S Streetfighter and put a map on it 209 hp at the rear and a 21 WR450 Yamaha and just ordered the 2022 Kawasaki H2 which is 260HP min with a pipe and tune 👴🤦♂️🤣
Love my Bikes

So disappointing that unifilter can't make a prefilter like on the tiger 800. After 20K km main was still in excellent condition with just regular prefilter cleans.
Hi James I got a comment on Facebook
1 guy wraps a chux around the filter and just cleans the chux after every couple of rides he said that works well
I made a pre filter out of a washing sponge and cut the green scourer off and slipped that in front of the intake and I will try the chux as well and just clean both after every couple of rides
know just have to get the filter and go for a ride and try them out

Hi Marcio
Chux?? Please explain what that is to us non Oz speakers ??
Thanks for the heads up though!!
Hi Lionel
thanks for the comment regarding the chux I was told that some guys are putting chux wrapped around the air filter but i did some more home work and asked the head mechanic at triumph and he didn't recommend to do it 😢🤷♂ so I will take his advice and not go down that line

Are there any option for pre filters? Also while ive got you are the spark plugs easy to get to?
hi Bud
no there aren't any options for pre filters, I have been in touch with the manager at unfilters and they said they cant get hold of a bike to design/make one but in saying that
one of the guys I talk to Matt Has made one which I'm going to try
there air intake funnel that comes out the back of the airbox and bend down between the battery he cut that and put a triumph rocket 3 air filter sock over it naturally oiled and it works a treat he sent me some videos on what he did and after riding 1450 klm on dusty road he showed not a speck of dust on his main filter
regarding the spark plug I have no idea where it is and what's involved on getting it out
