it a problem on the 900 as well
I had to get a new sump
the sump guard is screwed up into the sump, if you hit a log or rock hard which the guard kiss the sump good by (oil leak ) can be a big problem if you are heap out of town
100% get an aftermarket one that dosent bolt up to the sump
I forgot which one I got but there out there
I've got the Aprilia Tuareg Now and Love way more that the tiger
out handles the tiger big time and goes just as good and it lighter but feels way lighter

Hi, just came across your channel... great content! As a fellow 'neat freak', I appreciate your focus on these things! Haha
Just wondering, with the OEM upper crash bars... I hear a lot of bad stories about them bending back and denting / scratching the tank in even low speed or stopped tip-overs. Have you had any experience dropping the bike and how the upper bars performed?
I like the idea of clear tubing and silicone tape on them though... top idea, might steal it!🙃

      Hi Gats
      thanks champ
I always crack up my mates bikes look old and everyone think my bikes new 🤣🤣
I did have a stack on mine and the bars saved my bike and I het pretty hard hey , and the bar move and marked the paint a little on the white fender
BUT if I didn't have them the side of my tank would have been totaled
I got my wrap done by Nathan from Wrap Masters on the sunshine coast
but if you contact Xpel and ask them how is bike Wrap certified close to you
I've done all my bikes Its not cheap but it save heaps of stone chip and scratches 100% will be doing on any bike I get

@@theblacklancer1107 I agree, I'm based in the UK and have been down to the Triumph Adventure Centre in Wales on 3 occasions for off-road trips & weekends and a fourth time to Portugal for a week long off-roading experience hosted by Triumph. All of these trips were done on their fleet of 900 Rally Pro's, about 10 of us at a time. I can confirm that the majority of their bikes had dents on the fuel tanks where the stock OEM bars have bent back and pushed on the tank. You might be lucky with one or two offs but drop it enough times or that one fall on the rocks and it'll happen. I currently ride a Tiger 800 XCA with solid crash bars but made a mental note to myself what when I get the 900 the first thing I'll do is get aftermarket crash bars (Outback Motortek or SW-Motech)

Thanks for that info. The vibrations on this bike ruin what is otherwise a great ride. Bar end weights didn't help much, but hoping that Grip Buddies can take the edge off. Will look at those risers. Considering an aftermarket handlebar with a touch more back sweep with silicone fill. I'm used to doing 400 mile days on my GS and GSAs, but I can barely tolerate100 on the Tiger. Major disappointment.
