  • No bike is perfect, I suppose. Let's talk about the radiator heat on the Tiger 900. Can it be fixed?
Air deflectors can be purchased here:

Thanks for taking the time to make the video and share your experiences. I am in the first week of Tiger 900 Rally Pro ownership and we are presently going through this "heat dome" phenomenon here in Houston Texas and so the heat blowing onto my legs is not doing anything for my riding enjoyment. I was on Ali Express and looking at deflectors similar to the ones in your link (but for US$20+) and wondering how effective they were. Now I know.

Stinks that they don't do much, thanks for testing them out and letting us know. I luckily haven't gotten in a lot of stop and go traffic on my Tiger, or high temps, so I really haven't been bothered by the heat from the radiators.

Thanks for sharing this video! I live in Central Texas and have been considering the Tiger 900. Definitely gave me something to think about…

I have this deflectors about a year. Here in Grecee the weather is hot also at summer. They almost do nothing ! The bike is not for hot climate sadly. I have to sell the bke that i love. I can't find another modification to solve the heat problem.. The designers of the bike must have thought it.

Thanks for the video. I'm the original owner of a 2001 tiger 955i who was looking to buy a 900 but actually before leaving the dealership I looked down and saw the rad fans exhaust directly on the rider. That was the end for me.

Thank you for this honest Video. There are seemingly always any heat issues with british vehicles. I have made a testride with a scrambler 1200 in winter at 3°C and despite the cold weather it feeled Like sitting on steaming oven.

I have recently ought the 1200 Rally Pro. Triumph seems to have done a great job directing the radiator heat away from the rider on this bike.

I had to sell my 800 due to the heat, it was terrible and I'm in San Francisco where it barely ever gets hot! My dealership is trying to convince me its drastically improved on the 900...

I had a 2017 KTM 1190R loved the engine power delivery and the bike in general... buttttt the heat coming from the engine area was crazy hot especially in Florida so sold it for a BMW GSA ......huge improvement.. However I do like the Triumph 900 Rally Pro but if it has heat issues I'll pass.. Nicely done on your vids.

Thank you for the information I was thinking of getting the Bond bike and now I'm having second thought as I plan to ride it mostly in the summer.

I have the same bike. I don't have any issues with heat coming off the radiator. But then I don't live in Texas but it has been in the humid 90s here. Still no issues with heat off the Tiger.

I bought a Tiger 900 GT Pro last week and it's my first bike. It's 4 degrees in the UK so I welcome some heat, although I've not felt it yet. We do get a couple of very hot weeks a year in the UK, so will be interesting to see then.

  • @beetleything1864

In a Scotland we considerr this a plus - thank you Triumph.

Just to add, I've ridden my 900 GT in 98degs F and yes there is heat from the rads. but while wearing waterproof M/C trousers at the time(Europe, rain and shine within 50mls) there was no way it burnt my legs ????

Well, this helps narrow down my bike choices now. Speed Twin 1200, MT09 SP, or Tracer GT
