Antique 1955 Briggs and Stratton 6S Engine Restoration - Part 1

Picked up a pair of old Briggs engines in hopes of further developing the man cave. This 1955 6S engine runs great thus far with minimal effort.

Nice little engine and runs good considering there is a check ball in the bottom of the fuel pick-up tube that you cut off

Nice video. I just rescued an old family heirloom... an old B&S powered reel lawnmower from the early 50's, with what I believe is a 6S motor. I'm just getting started researching this old beastie.
