    As promised here is the install video of my six sigma jet kit. In the video we cover how to install our pilot jets, our main jets as well as how to raise the height of the jet needle using the adjusting shims and spacers.
    I also talk briefly about the slide spring modification and the drilling of an additional hole in the throttle slide.

    I believe those 'Philips Head' screw are actually JIS screws....... so a JIS screw driver would be the preferred screwdriver if you want to avoid damage for the screws. Anyway, excellent tutorial...... thanks for taking the time and explaining it in details, much appreciated.

    1:35, Can't you just use the flap head screwdriver to take the other two out with the flat cut outs/grooves then use a plier or something to twist the other one one? Also thats very neat in that carb setup you can change the different jets for different situations high power gains and low end torque for example. Thats awesome, its alot more linear than a one way high performance jet, its like high performance vehicle that can't gain much more performance with their VTEC setup unless they get big profile cams and a better tune but then you can possibly lose your VTEC engagement in total since the VTEC Killer setups are meant for racing and not for street use that type of thing. I wish some automotive products had a better way to retain VTEC while getting bigger gains but oh well. Yes i know there are different cams but the moderate ones will make great for performance and on the street but not exceeding and going to race setup where idle is wonky and everything is not great on street.
    Anyways hope i don't get bashed about my comments. lol Loving this motorcycle jet carb conversion setup. I can't believe its taken this long to finish work on that 4AGE. IMO, if i had a project vehicle I'd be on that every minute.

      for short uni pod filters (with the vinyl end-caps) and an open exhaust with no baffles: 15% bigger on the mains and stock needles shimmed with 4 shims under each needle. stock idle jets with the mixture screws tuned for best idle quality when warm. how about that ? it should rpm like it never has before after you ditch the stock airbox with the above jetting.

    Hi this is Tyrone. I own a 1997 Zx7r 750cc Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. I made some mods upon my bike and it now is running rich. My friend tells me it's doing this because I am not in motion riding bike. So at idle he says bike will run rich until I'm in motion so air through ram air ducts mixture with fuel as I ride would thus lean out the rich issue an bike will be running fine. Is this acertion true ? It runs rich upon cold start up of bike to reach temperature. I'm planning to switch sprockets to 15t and 45t respectively. So I will have a minus 1 front and a plus 2 rear. I read some where that I need to change the jets to correct the rich issue. Do I need to have my P2 model Zx7r 750cc put on a dyno ? I took off all emissions stuff added block off plates changed the OEM coils to stick coils has 10r rear shock and 10r throttle tube. I have housing for 10r but my cables from 10r are to short dont work. The Zx7r throttle cables are somehow not fitting properly into the 2004/2005 10r throttle housing for me to use. I need help figuring it out do I need new cables ran from housing into my carbs?

    what is the effect of pluging the air jet? I have a aw11 with 40mm keihin cvk carbs and the car responds fine with a 180 main jet. also the air fuel ratio is great. does it have anything to do with the throttle response?

    • @d4a
      @d4a  6 років тому

      I asked six sigma about this and they told me that by blocking this air jet the mixture is enriched more. I think it plays the same role as putting in a larger jet. I will do a detailed tuning video with different jet sizes and everything so I will have some detailed info on everything. How do you like the carbs compared to stock EFI? Any other mods on the engine? Is it a 4age?

    • @bartbrugmans3231
      @bartbrugmans3231 6 років тому +3

      the carbs are amazing, the throttle response is instant an the car pulls way down low. But because of the carbs the car keeps pulling way op the rev range.
      We managed to make the ignition and the coils from a bike work on the 4age engine, which creates a bigger spark and it sparks twice. the downside of the double spark is that the bougie last half as long, but it makes the engine with the carbs way more efficient and the engine could in theory rev up to 11000 (i obviously do not want to do that)
      also one great thing about my carb setup is that i can mess with tailgaters. When im driving and i turn the key off the carbs keep sucking up air and fuel but it doesn't ignite, but it wil after i turn the key on again and al the air fuel mixture that is in the exhaust is ignited which creates a big flame and a hard bang out of my exhaust.

    The screws you are referening too & the reason they are getting rounded off is because you are using the wrong type of screw driver. They are not a Phillips screw head they are in fact a JIS type (Japanese Industry Standard) although yes you can if carefull get away with using a Phillips screwdriver, if you own or work on a Japanese motor cycle it's work investing in a small set of JIS screwdrivers/Bits.

    • @d4a
      @d4a  5 років тому

      Not until you explain the problem better and in more detail. Like this I don't really know what's going on. What I assume by getting too much gas is that the mixture is rich. I.e. Someone put jets that are too big in it. This will cause poor gas mileage, weak throttle response and probably a smelly exhaust. But rich is better than lean, which is too little gas, and can cause engine damage. Rich makes more carbon deposits and dilutes oil sooner but still not as dangerous as lean. I suggest you take the bike to a good mechanic as diagnosing anything through comments based on a one sentence description is anything but reliable. This is just to give you an idea about what's going on.
