The first scene is right out of the old movie, THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM, which starred Vincent Price! I also noted that Quentin had his face back to normal. I felt sorry for Quentin when Barnabas found Julianka dead, for it means that with her death the cure died also. This story line is complicated because of the Time Travel Barnabas talks of. This reminded me of all the old Doctor Who episodes that I've seen! Time travel is rather risky, so such travelers should be very careful not to meet themselves, according to the Laws of Time! ~Janet in Canada
