Armed with new technology, and with help from Site Director James Gossip and the Meneage Archaeology Group, Time Team have just three days to shed light on this fascinating prehistoric site on the Lizard Peninsula. Can they do it?
Featuring Dr Gus Casley-Hayford, Natalie Haynes, Prof Carenza Lewis, Dr Helen Geake, Dr John Gater, Prof Stewart Ainsworth, James Gossip, Dani Wootton, Naomi Sewpaul, Matt Williams, Carl Thorpe, Dr Derek Pitman, Lawrence Shaw, Matt Clark, Hilde van der Heul, Pete Spencer, Angie Wickenden, Brigid Gallagher and Raysan Al-Kubaisi.

Series Producer and creator: Tim Taylor
    ** ABOUT TIME TEAM **
Time Team is a British archaeology series that originally broadcast on the UK's Channel 4 for 20 series, and countless specials. Over the years, the team excavated over 220 sites, from back gardens to Buckingham Palace. The show has now returned to UA-cam, thanks to the incredible support of thousands of worldwide fans on Patreon.
Series 21 (Season 21) of Time Team follows two incredible new digs, each released in extended 3-part episodes exclusively on the Time Team Official UA-cam channel. The first dig explores a mysterious Iron Age site in Cornwall; the second investigates a huge Roman villa on the estate of a Tudor castle in Oxfordshire.

Oh this is great! I'll admit to being a bit tentative about "new" Time Team - being an old stick-in-the-mud - but this is fantastic stuff. Really lovely to see some (older) friends from the previous incarnation and great to meet some new people to carry the torch forward. Oh, and great new technology (& lovin' the environmental/experimental archeology). Thanks ever so much, looking forward to seeing some more.

Love seeing this first-dig-back tracked together in one episode! I don't MIND the 30-minute shows but definitely prefer to see the entire dig through in one fell swoop. It's so great seeing the beloved, familiar faces!! That is so exciting!! I can't even pick a fave (ok...it's Stewart) because I truly adore ALL of them (very much so - they're like fam) and while I do miss the ones who've...gone on ahead...and the ones who can't/have-yet-to commit to making appearances (eyeballing YOU Sam Newton and YOU Francis Pryor and YOU Phil Harding), it's also nice getting to know the soon-to-be "old faces". Love this!

He was one of those many specialists you saw only a handful of times through the run of the show, but who always had interesting things to say. One of the regulars I really miss in the TT reboot is Ian Powlesland. I thought he was hands down the coolest guy on the show. I must have seen each episode countless times over the years but they still hold up and are still so interesting. Each one is a great adventure. Great to see this, and to see some of the old regulars and some new ones. Also great to see all the fancy 3d models and such. That said, part of what really made the old series work was that the presenter didn't always was just happy with the archeologists, but played the devil's advocate. Disagreement between participants was encouraged and together with the banter was part of what made it so much fun to watch. I think it's important not just to have qualified people there but also some real characters. For me nothing beat the banter between Phil and the others. I like Dr Gus as a presenter, he seems very intelligent and just oozes charisma, I just wished his role would be a bit more, well not adversarial, but always questioning and keeping the archeologists on their toes.

Couldn't disagree more. His voice to me is annoying. Uses a base whispy type of tone in his narration. It's as though he's emphasizing as you would when you tell a story to a child. Over does soft tones. In my opinion he needs to use his "real" voice and speak as the other Time Team members do.

I am so happy with this new version of Time Team. I had some doubts if time could be made outside the backing of a TV station, but you have really done something so so good here. And although I miss Tony, Mick and Phil the new hosts do a really good job. And the rest of the team is also such a delight. Really a joy to welcome this wonderful program back.

I think the re-booted Time Team are doing a great job. It is exciting they do even more research around the digs and have other experts talking about experimental archaeology. I was / am a huge fan of Tony R as presenter and of course miss some of the 'old' crew, but the new team along with the return of some of the greats like Carenza are really living up to their standards. I enjoy Gus' gentle enthusiasm and knowlegeability. Thank you Time Team. Think I will be one of your Patreon supporters

After listening to the whole episode, I quite like the new narrator. He was actively participating and showing awe and asking the questions. He has a different voice for when he is narrating from regular discussions. I like the latter better. I agree the narration voice he uses is lulling me to sleep.

I still watch them regularly... the new presenters are awesome, his voice is liquid gold and his presentation/narration style is very engaging. Well done Gus, and Natalie too of course. Loving it again.

I live in the Arctic region and I just love watching the episodes. To my amateur eye, the tunnel resembles a cold cellar where large quantities of fish are stored. The tunnel has bends so that the cold can't escape too easily. The snow is collected in to the room at the end of the tunnel, which turns into ice on the floor. Snow is added every year so that the ice does not melt too much. We still have and use these kind of cold cellars to store salmon. They are earth cellars, some are like deep pits. The insulation is done well to keep the ice.

Watched the original airing and i gotta say, feature length ones are great for view time and time retention. And loads more convenient for those that want to watch the whole thing.

I've been watching this show since I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Romania in 2000-2002. It was one of the few English language shows on regular television. I, admittedly, was not a fan of the changes introduced in the last two years of the show, so this reboot made me sceptical. I wasn't interested in people working as hard to entertain me as they were in those last few years. I don't know how you did it, but you were able to capture the mature, casual ease of the original show's earlier episodes, even with new people. I think the new commentator is wonderful. His voice had the perfect tone, and it's a plus that he's an actual expert. Love it. This show is an institution, and I am happy to see it on strong footing.
