I've watched every Time Team episode at one time or another and am a current supporter of T.T. on Patreon. I absolutely love this show and am overjoyed that it now continues to this day with the most recent being Time Team at Sutton Hoo just last month. I did want to mention that I looked up this episode on the Isle of Wight and found that this is Season 9, Episode 12, titled "Steptoe Et Filius" (source: wikipedia) and was Dr. Helen Geake's debut on Time Team.
I agree. If they had 10 days, imagine all the goodies they'd find. But funding limited their days, archaeology relies heavily on funding and in order for them to have a show, the number of days per dig had to be limited to 3
See what happens when we rely on our current technology! They are looking for items from 2000 years ago and it took almost all day to find a dig from two years ago.
@@williamfindspeople4341 Time Team is still going. With a lot of . the old crew, such as John, Stewart, Matt, Carenza, Helen... Plus a lot of new faces and state of the art technology. . It is right here on YT, and they are being funded by Patreon. they have a huge ongoing dig at Sutton Hoo, and even Tony is back for it. The ship is being rebuilt and they are filming that too.
@saveriosalemme5366 Because it is cheaper and easier to just regurgitate 20 - 30 year old material. Hell, this episode is older than the average youtuber LOL.
Question: why not just contact the local water/sewer department for the location of the pipe? It was installed two years ago...it's not some ancient mystery where the drain pipe is. Get a map from the local authority!
#Odyssey - Ancient History Documentaries I'd like to watch this but out of respect for the creators of Time Team I'd like to know if this channel has permission to repost their content. Does anybody know?
Why only 3 days? Why not a week/5 days? Or no specific time limit….instead, as long as it takes to achieve defined goals? Just curious why only 3 days.
This is the kind of episode where its not really interesting or exciting, so they infer that some dude got murdered at the local dump like 1,500 years ago. Cool pottery I guess.
How exciting does it have to be? Do you require still fighting gladiators? Boudicca in her chariot perhaps? The episode is not dull but you may very well be.
I cannot tell you how happy I was when a time team post popped up in my feed.
Rather like mushrooms…
I am also ecstatic I spelled popped up correctly and did not spell pooped up.
I grabbed a pint. Now i get to watch my favorite show. Life is good.
Must be the fan base, I'm literally doing the same haha

A very young Helen Geake appears in series 6, episode 11 (she probably wasn't that young, but looked it!)
Squeeee a Time Team I've never seen!! What a treat!!!
Yes, I thought so!
snap!
right? It's like a golden easter egg
Me too!
I brought drinks!!🤪😁🥃🍻🥤
Every time Time Team pops up in my feed. I immediately sit down and watch it. Even if I've seen it before. Great show. Great team, I love it.
The three days was the silliest part of this show. Can you imagine what they could have done with at least a week?!
They did an episode in a week. 3 days of filming and wrapping up, editing etc took the other 2 days.
@ I’m just saying they could have done a lot if they could just do the whole dig

@@tjavendano oh I know I was just saying
This is one of my all time favorite episodes! So much going on!
I am here in Virginia USA watching these Great people!!
"Iron Age Execution" sounds so...metal...
Loved all their seasons.
I was hoping they would find some ancient finger nail clippers. That one archeologist really needs one.
Time Team! 🤘🏽🔥

Absolutely love this team!
Good show. But what I don't get, is why limit yourself to 3 days? When there so much more to find.
They all had regular jobs during the week. Time Team was a weekend gig.
I randomly skipped by mistake to 36:33 and almost had heart attack.
Why aren’t great shows like this produced today? 🧐
Because almost everyone is retired or dead.

An episode I haven't seen yet!
Please cover the story of Jawaher Hajji #JusticeForJawaher
Labradors United “look what I’ve found”….
wow, nice work
They dont make Time Teams like this anymore.

That doesn't make good TV.😅
They should’ve enameled the Rabbits eye as well.
Bring in Stewart he wi fix it😂
Damn skippy!!Stewart's the shiznat 🤣✌️🍻

Thanks.

money...all the team needed to be paid, diggers, experts, camera crews etc. machines were hired + most diggers were prob in college
Does ancient land like this have a feeling
No
So the ancients were pot smokers? @9:28
❤️
I have a plan...baldric
Misleading title. You got me on Iron Age. You lost me on Roman. Yawn.
I hope you have Roman blood in you! Lol
Well how nice, flintman has dug himself a cave 😂
Aliens
Why three days
110% better than the new TT crap
Boo to you
Can we maybe keep the titles a bit realistic? Too far fetched for words, really
Oh get over yourself. You get a channel, put out content, and say what you want to say in the title. Which part is unrealistic?
Oddly enough archeology continues to ignore the (Wooden age) followed after the (Stone age). Hahaha 😆
first
i hope Katie won't mind me saying this🙏, but she is lovely
