It looks great! Suggestion: box up your mother-in-laws corningware and gift it to your future daughter-in-law. No need to feel gulity. Also don't forget to add the other cornflower baker that you have in the lower cabinet. Loving this series!
19 including the soda machine . We only have four a ninja blender, a toaster, an electric can opener and a hand mixer. The Ninja is a must for me. I have to drink 98% of my meals. I had clothes I brought for my 14yo daughter that she barely or never wore, her style changed. I felt guilty everytime I came across them. I tried to sell them, unfortunately they didn't sell. So I donated them to out local school for the homeless students. Now I don't feel guilty and my heart is full knowing they will be used and loved.
Sophia things happen so I completely understand if the bread machine broke. Its no big deal. At least you still have one functioning machine. I have been enjoying your new series have actually decluttered more spaces in our home as well! Thanks for the inspiration! We have 11 small kitchen appliances and 5 of them are super small so they are very easy to store. I decluttered at least 8 small appliances within this last 6-8 months. So we have much more space in our small kitchen. Your doing great! Thanks for this series! 👍🏽🤗
I think I have : 1. tea kettle (used several times each day) 2. food processor 3. hand held mixer (... cause it is easier to wash than the food processor... in reality, anything could be done with the food processor). 4. a giant crook pot And that is it. We cook a lot (from fresh ingredients)
I'd like to suggest that you install pull-out drawers for your appliances. It'll make it easier for you to lift them out or put something behind them. As for those shelves the easiest way to move them is shove a credit card between the shelf and the clip and that should help you remove them.
This made me go count my appliances-I have 10. On the counter: coffee maker (daily), toaster and air fryer (often); in cabinets: 2 slow cookers, rice maker, blender, 1 big and 1 small food processors, hand mixer. I use the big slow cooker and rice maker enough but they are easy to access, I rarely use the food processors, mixer, small slow cooker or blender but when you need them you need them! Great video-thanks!
I'm only a few minutes into this video and had to stop to comment (so I don't forget, lol) Can I just say how impressed I am at how many times you squatted down to get in those cabinets and you stood right up, appliances in hand, without having to grab onto the counter! I'm your age and now realize how weak my leg muscles are. I need to do some squats!
You know Sofia I just have to say I really enjoyed the way you filmed. The different shots you are doing from inside the cabinet talking to the camera. Good job filming work is very good. You are a pro, love your videos.!
Your cleaning videos are giving me encouragement to start this weekend. I think you need an AA (appliance anonymous) meeting lol. What if you got a tension rod and hung a piece of fabric over your back cabinet to keep dust and pet hair down a bit? It might help cut down in having to clean as often. Great job organizing!
@MyGreatChallenge I knew you were missing the yogurt maker 😂 Glad you found it and moved it with all the other appliances. Your kitchen has come a long way from 10 years ago.
I watch a lot of decluttering and cleaning videos and have for years. You have always been my favorite! I love hearing your thought process. You have been a great source of inspiration for me. Thank you!!!!!
I have a toaster, coffeemaker, stand mixer, personal blender, toaster oven, crockpot and microwave. My Kitchenaid mixer does so many things that I don’t need much else
I can say honestly I do not know how many appliances I have…..things I use regularly-keurig, 2 crockpots, instant pot, 2 rice cookers, food saver….I discovered we have 2 blenders, 2 food processors, 2 mixers, 4 small humidifiers…. And several items I haven’t used in years…. So I started selling the duplicates (likely from when we married and merged homes) on Marketplace. I shudder to think of more hiding in storage in the basement😆. As I declutter those will go too. 🥰
I have 4 appliances ..a mixer, a coffee maker, an air fryer and a toaster. I’m not a gadget person. I cook things the way they were always cooked. Yes, Sophia, you have way too many appliances 😂
nice, decluttering and deep cleaning. I cant say I have a lot of small appliances but a quilted cover would probably look better then using the plastic bag they pack them in that i was taught to use.
My appliance count is 18 , Sofia!! That’s counting the electric knife for carving the turkey, and filleting the fish. I have too many. I can think of 3 this can be removed. 2 back to the camper, and 1 to donate. Loving this series. Also, you look great in this video. 😍😊
I have four crockpots and five mixers four of which are stand mixers, six coffee pots, two mini hoppers, a food processor, two instant pots, ice cream maker, bread machine, two pressure canners….so don’t feel bad😂😂
Maybe have a handyman make doors on the backside of the appliance cabinet AND put in slide out shelves in the bottom. Also just a thought. Put the parts of the appliances you don't use in a in clear container on the basement so that when you do ever declutter them you can give all the parts.
Been looking forward to watching this video all day! Finished work, put my toddler to bed, and now time to relax with decluttering videos 😄 I’ve been watching you since I was in college, pre-marriage and mom days!
I have a coffeemaker, a hand blender, a microwave and a toaster. I’ve had other appliances such as a regular blender, 2 types of counter ovens and other things I never used. I gifted them to people and I’m fine using what I have now. 😊
My Mom had the blue cornflower Corningware. She was a fabulous cook. She used the casserole with the electric base for wonderful dishes and she made perfect coffee in the tall percolator 🥰. I kept them and try to make coffee when my brother visits. I haven’t tried the casserole cooker yet. I so regret not learning to cook with her. Luckily I have a huge kitchen with lots of cabinets and because I’m retired now, I really enjoy having and finally using my kitchen treasures.
I have an Instant Pot, a Kitchenaid (2, but 1 is packed away til a kid moves out and takes it with them), a coffee pot, a toaster oven.... and of course fridge, freezer, oven/stove, etc. Lol.
I love this video! We all have this issue! Some of us are pack rats and have stuff we got as wedding gifts 60 yrs. Ago! Yes, you are so humble and down to earth and you inspire me, to do better! Thank you!
My waffle iron doesn't flip and the plates don't come out. When cool, I just clean off any residue with a warm damp paper towel and then pat dry. I immediately wipe any dough that comes out. But I learned that right under 1/2 cup in each compartment stops that from happening. Mine has 4 settings for doneness and beeps when ready and when done.
as for the breadmaker...cut a peice of the rubber shelf paper that you put in your cabinets to fit under breadmaker and place the breadmaker on it while using. This stops the walking,
Could you cover appliances with plastic wrap? I do that to cover the vase tops above my cabinets. I no longer have to clean inside the vases when I clean above the cabinets.
Great job, Sophia. I, too, have a small galley kitchen with narrow drawers and cabinets that drive me crazy. I sort of have a system, but it needs tweaking 😀. While you contemplate making covers for the appliances on the back lower shelves you could just cover them with a large piece of fabric from your stash to keep them dust, grease, and pet hair free 😉. XXOO ❤️
I give things to friends and family to make them happy not to burden them. If they have no use for one of my gifts I would want them to pass it on and let it be a blessing for someone else.
Have you considered having a lazy susan or they make pull out shelves for your cupboards? It makes it easier to store and reach things, especially when the cabinet is deep. Something I did in my space (credit to Do it on a dime for her idea) was to take a small dresser and turn it into my coffee/tea station outside of my kitchen. The first drawer is tea/coffee and the rest I use for storage. That might be good for where you have your soda stream
The Corningware from Scott’s family are really useful and lovely. Why would you want to part with them? I would definitely keep them in your basement for later as I think you would regret giving those away. Plus, they would be expensive to replace. I love how real you are, Sophia about not cleaning things all the time. ❤ I also love the coziness of your kitchen.
1) LOVE your top! Beautiful color and you look stunning in it! ❤️ 2) You don't have a meat slicer or a pop-up toaster. 3) The small food processor could be decluttered because it will do everything the big one does. 4) The popcorn machine and popcorn bowl could be decluttered. Switch to microwave popcorn and let the kids use the beautiful crockery bowls in the upper cabinet. Things that only do one thing don't earn the precious real estate they occupy. 5) A house full of love often has a bit of dog hair. No worries. ❤️ 6) Just found your channel. Loving your videos!
I downsized a ton of appliances 2 summers ago. I then gave my granddaughter my large slow cooker because I have the Cosori pressure cooker which doubles as a slow cooker for me. Might still try and downsize a few more this year. I would love to find the blue cornflower CorningWare percolator. That is my dream. LOL That gasket goes to the pressure cooker! Don't get rid of it!!!!
Never too many appliances! Lol…I have around 22 that I can think of off the top my head….give it take 😉… I’m sure there are a few small ones I’ve overlooked 😮! and I use All of them at one time or another! I can’t part with any of them! The hardest part for me was deciding which to put down in my basement…it was like letting one of my kids go off to kindergarten! 😂😂😂😂…I ultimately cleaned out a closet in a same floor bedroom and put shelves in it and put them in there so I felt closer to them…now Who has a problem???!!! 😳😳😳😳
I did count mine: I have 6 (+the coffee maker on the counter). And one of them is about to die on me and I´m looking forward to it. 🙃 My kitchen is small and they need to fit in one cabinet. So I can´t buy any more. You make me laugh - I just love your videos! Hugs from Germany 🤗
New subbie here! Love your series and your real approach to it all, I been sick all week but your inspiring me to get off my butt today and clean out one cabinet at least thanks! And nothing wrong with having appliances makes cooking alot easier can’t wait until your next video my friend
Is there anyone else in the family that would like the corning ware? Those two items are so nice and a shame just to put them in storage when someone might really like and use them. A niece?
I used to have a lot of appliances as well, but then, my late husband gave me a Thermomix TM6 in 2021 a few month before he passed away for our Anniversary. I love it and use it every day all day long literally and it replaced most of my appliances.
New subscriber from Australia here. I love your decluttering process. I have a similar number of small appliances. We have been renovating our house, including a new kitchen, so I did a quick declutter as we packed everything away before the old kitchen was demolished, but I know I need to let go of more when I unpack it all. I have more storage now, but I want it to be organised and easy to access everything. I’m really looking forward to a fresh start in my new kitchen which is almost finished - just wall tiles and the big appliances to go.
Have you ever tried Dawn's (Minimal Mom) technique of having a time will tell bin? I think that is a great way to see how m ch we actually use our stuff we save.
Your focus on most used and easy access is awesome. Our flatware is in the drawer closest to the table rather than near dishwasher :) Finished decluttering and cleaning our kitchen cabinets in four sections over four days. A few things left the area but mainly put items in the best spot for access. Try to do this audit once or twice a year as our needs change ✅💕
Wow! You do have a lot of appliances! My kitchen is TINY! I didn't know how many I had, but I counted 5. That's it. I don't dare look at them at the store, because I have no space for them, and I don't miss having something I've never tried.
Could you build a wider more sturdy shelf under the window where the soda stream is and put a lip on it for your bread maker? I think when you use something that often it should. Be easier to get to. Plus you have to find a place to put it when you use it anyway. My young friend has four bread makers and her storage room is only about three feet that they took out of their bedroom when they built their house. She fills them all up starts them and at a certain point takes the dough out and puts it in regular pans to bake. She also has leftover dough for rolls. She has six children so they go through a lot of bread!
electric kettle, immersion blender, blender, hand mixer, kitchen aid, toaster, pressure cooker, crock pot, soda stream (not counting the biggies like fridge etc)
Nice job! Did the back cabinet used to have a door? If so, and you still have it, it could help keep the dust and pet hair away from the appliances for now..
U did great today. If appliances r your thing enjoy them. Life is to short to worry about them. U have done amazing n your journey and I think u r just fine as u r and what u r doing. Have a good week.
I have tiny kitchen and I counted 6 appliances in there: handmixer, stick-blender, coffee machine, kettle, halogen oven (that I store in my regular oven) and cotton candy machine. Last one I rarely use and also could easily live without, but kids love it when we make some cotton candy occationally during birthdays or parties.
Another great declutter video! You are so right. You need to live in your space for a long time before things start to click and all of a sudden, you know where things should go. Happens to me all the time!! PS. We all have grime and a lot of us have pet hair - cats in my case. 🥰
Proud of you. At first I was like oh no. She will find a place for everything. LOL and keep them all. Letting go of those things. And putting some in the basement. Was a good idea.
I love the camera angle from the cabinet!! You're so creative! You're also blessed that you have such large deep cabinets. Mine are so tiny that I have to reorganize them every time I need anything. It's awful. I enjoyed this longer chit-chat declutter. "Prioritizing!" hahaha you're precious! These chatty ones are my favorites. When is the next LIVE on Patreon? I am so looking forward to seeing and chatting with everyone again! Hugs! 💕
I live alone and my kitchen is tiny (3m2 ~> 32ft2) so I have 4: coffee maker (used daily), toaster (weekly) Immersion blender and small whisker. Air fryer would be lovely but I have no space for it. I have loved all your de cluttering series; you are so real and true. Hi from Helsinki
I love you and your decluttering/cleaning videos. 💕 I was curious to look and I have 18 kitchen appliances. 2 crockpots (different sizes) 3 blenders (normal, immersion, smoothie) Mixer Can opener Toaster Griddle Popcorn maker Coffee maker Microwave Dishwasher Waffle maker Water cooler Fridge Stove 3 in one crockpot thing in basement that I used years ago for kid birthday parties that really needs donated as they're grown and we don't use it for holidays either
You did a great job. I am pretty good at letting go. You gave me quite a few laughs as you worked through this process. Looking forward to your next challenge.
I have a cabinet in my garage for overflow kitchen appliances. I do not have adjustable cabinets so no appliances fit. My guilty treasures are 3 instant pots, and I do use all of them. Nobody said our appliances have to live in the kitchen. I put my slow cooker in the attic for a time-out, I have used it only a few times in 10 years. If I don’t pull it down within the year, out it goes. My mom had a saying “if it doesn’t eat bread, you don’t have to get rid of it”. If you have a shelf in the basement and they fit, go ahead save them. These days we are living in I can’t afford to replace it. Hugs!
Other than the kettle, Toaster and Microwave (standard in a UK 🇬🇧 kitchen), I have a hand mixer and stick blender. This year for Christmas i also now have an air fryer to reduce the cost of using the oven. I definitely have too many mugs though 😅
WOW, Sophia!! They are so clean and shiny that it looks like you have a whole bunch of "new appliances!" LOL !!! Really, Good Job !
It might be worth it for you to install slide out shelves for your appliance cabinets.
It looks great! Suggestion: box up your mother-in-laws corningware and gift it to your future daughter-in-law. No need to feel gulity. Also don't forget to add the other cornflower baker that you have in the lower cabinet.
Loving this series!

You're awesome! There aren't many people I can watch and listen to for 40 minutes.
Oh good! Because I can go on for more! Lol. Thank you
Don’t get rid of the rubber gasket it’s for the instapot. Good to have extra as they hold smells.
I've got 2 appliances outside of microwave. I hate having things I don't use often enough to be worth the space
Fondu maker, chocolate fountain. And toaster
Do you use the fondue and fountain?
Ack that seal is probably for your Cosori IP. You should keep it. (Clear white round thing in purple basket)
The clear ring you are getting rid of is mostly the extra gasket to your instapot and is costly to replace I would keep it
I think I have :
1. tea kettle (used several times each day)
2. food processor
3. hand held mixer (... cause it is easier to wash than the food processor... in reality, anything could be done with the food processor).
4. a giant crook pot
And that is it.

I'm your age and now realize how weak my leg muscles are. I need to do some squats!
I am all leg muscles. None in the arms.
Even when you wash them after, they get dusty and sticky :(
Making covers with the sewing machine is a great idea and a lot of new projects !!!
You know Sofia I just have to say I really enjoyed the way you filmed. The different shots you are doing from inside the cabinet talking to the camera. Good job filming work is very good. You are a pro, love your videos.!
Thank you so much!
Accessories, and appliance parts can be sold on eBay! 💰 😊
Maybe on your Mother in-law Birthday you can use them and the rest of year in the Basement.
You had me at "extra grime" 😄
@MyGreatChallenge I knew you were missing the yogurt maker 😂 Glad you found it and moved it with all the other appliances. Your kitchen has come a long way from 10 years ago.
I cleaned my mother's house out. 6 dumpsters of stuff.!!! Don't feel guilty for getting rid of stuff you don't use
Sophia, check to make sure you have your Instapot gasket. I have a small kitchen and I have 13 portable appliances.
Selling your stuff on FB is a great way to make extra cash.
I have 4 appliances ..a mixer, a coffee maker, an air fryer and a toaster. I’m not a gadget person. I cook things the way they were always cooked. Yes, Sophia, you have way too many appliances 😂
Make a curtain to cover open shelf.
The gasket is for your instapot
It's only too much if items aren't used! If you use and enjoy everything then it's 👍
nice, decluttering and deep cleaning. I cant say I have a lot of small appliances but a quilted cover would probably look better then using the plastic bag they pack them in that i was taught to use.

LOL. But I bet they re clean!
You did a great job decluttering and reorganizing!
❣️❣️❣️
Maybe have a handyman make doors on the backside of the appliance cabinet AND put in slide out shelves in the bottom.
Also just a thought.
Put the parts of the appliances you don't use in a in clear container on the basement so that when you do ever declutter them you can give all the parts.
I always use my bread machine on the floor to avoid accidents.
I got rid of those plastic shelf clips and invested in sturdy metal clips that don’t break on Amazon
Most local hardware stores sell them. That way you can see the size and the strength.
I've counted 26 appliances in my kitchen...I hope this makes someone feel better! :))
It does, but someone said my 18 were ridiculous. I guess that makes you ludicrous, maybe?
@@mygreatchallenge More like insane! LOL!
Is that round gasket for your insta pot? Love watching your channel!!!

Nope. Small family. Niece is far from being interested in that kind of stuff. She just started college.
That was the gasket for the Instant Pot!
I feel for you. I have a appliance addiction. 😢
I used to have a lot of appliances as well, but then, my late husband gave me a Thermomix TM6 in 2021 a few month before he passed away for our Anniversary. I love it and use it every day all day long literally and it replaced most of my appliances.
I am sorry about your loss.
Those thermomix are really popular in France.
I have 3 small kitchen appliances. Toaster, 2 quart crock pot, and hand mixer. 15 seems too much.

You're not the only one with a ton of appliances!!! It is a challenge, so glad to know I'm not alone. Love you and your videos, God Bless
@MyGreatChallenge that gasket is for your instapot!! Don’t throw it away!
It s for my old instantpot. Not the cosori one.
Or a curtain!
I'm slowly doing this same thing I live in a apartment and my kitchen is small but I do prioritize my appliances that I use more than others
Hugs! 💕
My kitchen is smaller than yours. It’s a constant game of Tetris isn’t it? I’m enjoying your decluttering series.
I have 7, kettle, coffee maker, food processor, slow cooker, blender, stick blender and hand mixer.
Always good to inspire me to get with it.☺️❤️
Me I just love using a good knife and not much else apart from my kettle and toaster. I enjoy doing things by hand.
I was curious to look and I have 18 kitchen appliances.
2 crockpots (different sizes)
3 blenders (normal, immersion, smoothie)
Mixer
Can opener
Toaster
Griddle
Popcorn maker
Coffee maker
Microwave
Dishwasher
Waffle maker
Water cooler
Fridge
Stove
3 in one crockpot thing in basement that I used years ago for kid birthday parties that really needs donated as they're grown and we don't use it for holidays either
Oh boy do I need to do this
You did a great job.
Same here except for the microwave and air fryer. Although I am quite curious about the air fryer..?
(I am from Denmark 🇩🇰).
I love your idea of the cozies!
