I made this yesterday it was delicious, everyone likes it. I like the crispiness, the crispy dough is very delicious. But our family would prefer less sweeten, the next time ill make with this recipe I will cut sugar around 40-50% less. and would fry it into a smaller balls or really flat, so it can be really crispy and be eaten with one bite. that's just our preference, but the recipe is really delicious, apart from being too sweet for us.
This was my childhood treats. We called it ‘Theu Pan’. My favorite 😋. Me and my poh2/grandma used to go to the Pasar and bought it together with Pisang Goreng. Thanks for the recipe 🙏 Need to make this soon, it’s bring back old memories.

以前煲绿豆糖水时,多加点豆,糖水煑好留一半加点糖和椰絲加点面粉。搓成扁丸子去炸。
现在孩子大了,都不在身边。只煲夠2,3碗糖水不再炸糕吃了。
现在也找不到有人卖的摊子。除非去大马的高速公路上的休息站,偶爾会看到绿豆糕。

In Kerala we prepare this it's called sughiyan.. With all the ingredients we also use flattened rice (poha) in it.. Method of preparation is same

What can be used instead of pandan leaves?
Bazm you can just leave out the pandan cos it's only add in for fragrance.
