Love this monitor! Great review my dude! Stay dry
I love it too!
No chance of dry summer here haha
Hello.Which capacity NP-F battery are you using? And with that capacity, how long do you think you can use the monitor at maximum brightness?
I use these 10500mAh batteries: amzn.to/41LTdi4
I never actually measured the time but one usually lasts me most of if not all shooting day and I do not switch the monitor off between the takes. I keep it running all the time
Hello, I am running into issues of latency. Running a Lumix S5ii and there is a noticeable delay from camera to monitor. Have you came across this? Thanks
yes, switch the audio over HDMI off
Do you know if lumix s5ii changes the HDMI output automatically or not ? I used a monitor the other day and didnt get a signal at 4k 60 and changing the settings for hdmi didnt work either :/
mine does, when I film at 4k 60p and the monitor works
Damn what are you filming with ? for this one
Me talking was filmed with Lumix S5IIx and Lumix 85mm onto Ninja V and all the b-roll with Sony a7sIII and Sony 50mm f1.2 GM
How can I see I recording on the monitor so I don’t have to keep looking at my camera screen
you switch the camera on before looking at the monitor so you don't have to be looking at it while recording
@@PavSZ no what I’m saying is I do t get a full display so when I hit the record button it not on the monitor Get me
The thick borders must go. The screen should be edge to edge. Why would I have a bulky monitor that's 1 inch larger than my camera display? It's ridiculous.
1. much brighter than your camera display
2. you have better (and more) monitoring tools
3. You can preview your own LUTS (and output that into a TV or bigger monitor)
Out of all monitors that I have tried, this one is probably the least bulky
How is the video response when filming 4k 60? I film paintball and looking for a solid not huge monitor that can keep up well with afc and paintball shots.
Thanks. Looking at this over the atomos shinobi
I have the Canon RP, this monitor just upgraded the features of my camera from a $1000 camera to a $4000 camera, that's why. I thought the same as ypu, but once you put it on your camera the little box design just mKes sense, if it was super thin it would actually look and feel wierd I think. For a DSLR the 5.5" is perfect if I was a videographer I'd prob wait for the 7" lilmon to come out. When shopping for a monitor go with a known pro brand not the China amazing cheap crap ones and also know that the ones on Amazon listed as 6" display are NOT, they just lie those are all 5.5". I bought a 6" and found out the hard way. This monitor was a great investment and has helped me a bunch. Just the zebras alone were worth it. I also use the peak focus assist daily too. It really is a nice add on. I changed the mount to a smallrig coldshoe mount though as the one that comes with it does not swivel for some stupid reason. So add on another $25-$30 extra for that, you'll prob need it.
Does it have Onion Skin overlay?
good question. I'm not sure without switching it on and checking right now. Not something that I use personally. Please check the Osee website for that info
Does it have a input from 4k 60fps?
it works when the camera is set to record 4k60p (Lumix)
on Sony you can change the HDMI output resolution.
@@PavSZ Thank you, I have the Canon R6Ii but it will work fine too i guess!
It does look good, especially for my needs but can’t find any within the EU! Otherwise good luck tonight against Anthony Joshua ;)
they are coming to Europe very soon
Probably not soon enough for my needs as in within the next 10 days?!
Actually I did have one other Q and that is, is it OK for monitoring the 4K 50p I am shooting in camera? Thanks Pav.
@@firehorseweddingphotograph3995 yes if your camera can output different signal then that it is recording internally. All my Lumix and Sony cameras can do that. So the camera records 4k 60p internally but HDMI sends 1080p signal out
