I remember using chippies and rolling a 298% cruel champion sword of quickness back in the day (1.09). Man, that took forever but I was elated when I finally got the roll.
If we're talking about favorite acts... while Act 5 isn't visually my favorite, the music is something special. Especially when you were around for the launch of LoD and video game music was taking a BIG step forward.
In terms of best merc for the average poor throw barb here is the though process: double throw has lower ED damage output then frenzy, it has no runewords, but hits twice doubling your Proc Chances, Additionally it has no weapon runewords so you will be relying on Blue Rare or crafted weapons preferably with Fool's mod All this means that you will have 10000 AR and will have 2 times the chances to proc crushing blow, more if your weapon pierces. This means u will be spending more points on Strength and Agility and and need a Tanky merc that will line up all the enemies for you to kill. This and the already described lack of ED or Elemental damage really only gives you 2 setups. One is a might merc, with a Hustle weapon so you can get a masssive damage increase for cheap. But you will need to have a set of amp damage procking throwables on the offhand. Second option is to get a act 5 merc with Lawbringer, so he can slow and decrepify your foes as well as pushing back ghosts. It will give less damage but keep you safe also piercing that pesky physical immunity and allowing you to whittle them down
I’m trying hustle+lawbringer actV merc, haven’t got the hustle base yet but it’s fun, def feel the lack of might aura, but might aura is useless when waheed is dead, which is often 😂
@@teedoau after some deliberation i've descided that after the throw synergies, specking remaining points into 1 axes 1 berserk and dumping the rest into BO. Thus my high dext and some +equipment gives me descent berserk damage and I can kill phys immunes with with basically 4 points of investment. using same throwable axe weapon. The BO is the natural sink for most of the remaining points of all barbarian builds especially ones with much points remaining like throw so it's nice how it buffs me and tanks up the merc while giving the Berserk huge bite. My act2 might merc is built on a shoestring budget, He has a good roll templar Blood Armor, Hustle etherial weapon and Face of Horror headpiece(sleeper budget gear with stats, strength and nice effects) But even that is largely enough for him to facetank most enemies and do massive ammounts of damage while buffing me up I have descent 250-300% ed throwable blood flying axes lined up after making like 100 of em, and even a etherial blue cruel 300ed winged axe i randomly picked up with my other character. the only thing I'm missing is GoreRiders as I still wana have a +2 helm over a Wilhelm or Blood helm armet (all 3 give critical strike needed for regenerating weapons)
For the guy in chat near the end of the video asking if you can bind save & exit, you can create a macro to do it that doesn't violate ToS because it doesn't manipulate the mouse or its buttons at all. I've got a macro that does a save & exit then starts a new session on the difficulty I want all with a single hot key click. It leaves the game and starts a new one in less than 3 seconds.
The Llamma is still kicking! After years holding to LOD 1.14d, I finally brought D2R for 40$ and a low PC for 80$ to try it out, I NEED an SSD for this! XD
You always get me in the mood for d2 with these playthroughs! First blade sin now throw barb. Cant resist, although after having ravenfrost plus tal amulet drop off normal Baal quest i feel like im cheating, might have to restart. Mucho gusto content!
So many wasted stats and opportunities… they really should add a negative requirements mod to a barb skill like iron skin… ever hard point is half a percentage off all requirements… give players a reason to use the skill… would have made this run a lot easier on you and given so many options without having to respec
How do you guys still do this game? It took you like half an hour to get through the throne room at Baal 😂. I love this game, but it's so dull to watch and play. It's like that professional fighters who's a legend but is still trying to compete after being KO'd in his last 5 appearances. You guys are just the yes men urging them on...let it go 😂

PoE is better. I’ve played Diablo since 02. Time to move on. Diablo doesn’t have the best ARPG anymore. Only people that would choose Diablo over PoE are people who don’t really play much
