For those wondering Promise Charm was in COR, Once More was in Port Royal, Chicken Little was behind Pride Lands 2nd visit, Second Chance was in Olympus Colosseum, Explosion was in Olympus Colosseum, and Final Form was in Olympus Colosseum. All besides Chicken Little are first visit, COR was after first fight.
I love the rando runs! They showcase a lot of the game I don’t usually see in speed runs!
It's kinda funny how the thumbnails for this and the previous rando vid are nearly identical.

60 fps breaks a bunch of RC's including but not limited to: the berzerk RC finisher, and timeless river tower RC
@@thehumanstunlock7588 Is BB playing at a 60 FPS? Seems like it to me. Is it worth patching in or keeping at 30? Game just feels clunky at 30
@@TwistedxGamer101 i'd keep it at 30, or else a bunch of the game is either WAY harder due to big combat options being stripped, or just flat out doesn't work. and i don't think he's playing it at 60, because the berzerker RC works just fine.
Pretty sure a lot of things got fixed.
About the rando set up, when I did it, I found that I had to do a long winded procedure by applying the patches one at a time, even with the toolkit. Mainly because the Text add-ons wasn't applying properly, or the textures for the doors weren't applying when I batch patched. Still, even if it was long winded, all ya need is one completed iso for everything. Thanks for showing this mod off, made me dig out my old imported copy and finally get unlazy to dump it into an iso. I think most can agree that this mod has reinvigorated the speedrunning community and fans of KH2, giving runners a fun way to pass the time with other runners and the fans get to come back to an old game with a new feel and get more out of their money xD.
Edit: I didn't see that BB addressed this in his tutorial. Seems the reason I had those issues is due to the patching order I my toolkit was trying to do. His pinned Comment on his tutorial vid states the correct order to look for when patching. Check the order the tool kit wants to patch in, if its not what he posted on that vid, then stop and make sure its changed to his posted order.
I had an issue with a bad iso. If anyone is having problems it is almost 100% the game iso you downloaded. All it took was finding the right one and it worked immediately
@@TwistedxGamer101 This 100%, I blame my issue on my old toolkit copy, I'll try out BB's rar later to see if it was my toolkit copy. Reason I blame the old copy of the toolkit? The iso is completely fine, no glitches or crashes that aren't present on original disc before and after I patched it one patch at a time, means my iso was fine and dumped properly. Especially seeing as how even the times the textures or text add-ons didn't work, it was stable.
@@FusashiYuraka if you patch one at a time it tends to become more prone to crashing in my experience.
I started playing kh2 randomiser yesterday and got all 3 proofs in the space of an hour but I was around level 18 without guard aerial recovery or anything so my skill level wasn’t quite good enough to take on roxas and keep proceeding through it
sounds like you didn't have promise charm. so abilities and levels suddenly got super useful for ya.
You don't realize how much you take aerial recovery and guard for granted until you don't get them lmao
In my current run I haven't gotten them yet so every battle is like a tactical brain twister for me
Bobby Rare yeah I managed to get the promise charm and managed to clutch it because of limit form guard
Iona Erofeeff yeah I completely get that if I don’t have aerial recovery I just hope for at least retaliating slash for some use of it and limit form guard is a life saver if you need it
@@nathanwright_6 I only have final form and some basic abilities plus finishing leap, aerial finish, quick run, and aerial dodge... And cure.
The rest are synthesis materials and keyblades with inconvenient abilities

Now-a-days, i'm used to the cross and circle (X and O) buttons being flipped around, so it kinda screws me up sometimes in certain games. My many days of playing KHBBSFM got me into that layout, so expect me to play with them flipped still.
It kinda goes the _reverse_ way.
Right after the Twitch Prime notification, I got an ad with Shrek in it.
Once you did the Stitch MP Farming, I was fully expecting for Ultima to have Once More, Second Chance or EXP Boost as the ability.

I know you were saying you'd like to see 'Go mode' less dependent on the three proofs, so I was thinking that maybe making the player go through the CoR platforming to make growth abilities 'go items' would be cool.
yeah those people have a healthy little addiction to rando because of all the craziness going on. They'll probably calm down when everything else finally does.

Hades Paradox Cup. Completing all the tournaments takes a bit too long for each check in a regular run, so you'd only look after you've gotten to a high level

You can usually find matches pretty easily at most times of the day, though it can be rough
Just be prepared to know there are some real bad connections on some people

It's a fourteen year old console game, bud. Sure emulation is an inherently inefficient process, but if your computer can run any 3D action PC game from the last decade on okay settings at 30 Hz you're fine
Detector saber should be one of the requirement to complete the randomized run
FAKE, Detection Saber, and Edge of Ultima are always attached to Valor, Master, and Final(because Starseeker can be elsewhere, and Master and Final aren't ensured to have backup Keyblades to pull anyway in Rando)

Even if the puzzle pieces themselves can't be randomized I think randomizing the prizes behind them would be a cool way to actually add a sense of progression to this challenge since you need some level of growth abilities to get them all. Just an idea since the rando right now is just "find these specific things and then grind final world"
I think that's an overly reductionist summary at the end. Your capabilities depend on what you find and when, so every run is different and certainly depends on the skill-level of the runner.
Besides, and I don't see this brought up enough: if the Atlantica checks take too long per check, the puzzle pieces take too long to gather for each check. End of story.
If people manage to get around the impossibility of puzzlerando and do the prices too, then it basically becomes the equivalent of Zelda Oot skullsanity.
