Hey buddy. Where is “smarts” in the new Govee app? I can’t find it. I have this issue and trying to solve it (having two different RGBIC lights and trying to sync them like is one)

Hi! Nice Vid! I was wondering if one could also make it where a preset will make one strip a certain color and a second strip a different color?
I want to mount the rope lights under the floor mouldings on all the rooms in my house. If I set them up in a series (like 6 or 7 of them) will the scene flow from one to the other seamlessly? Ex. If I had a single dot, would it circle the whole room all the way back to the starting point?

I have 2 of the same light strips in a group and they will change together but when I put a scene on the 2 lights will slowly fall out of sync. Is there anyway to stop this?

I am not able to select 65ft RGBIC pro and 16ft RGBIC pro under same model, when i select one other one gets disabled, what i am missing here? the model number in H619e and H619a. Please help need to complete my 75ft room size.
Is it possible to somehow synchronize rgbic to a computer and have rgbic capture colors on the screen? I have rgbic connected to the computer and there is no port-com and the ambibox program also does not work

I just bought rgbic dreamcolour 2x5m strip (model h6117 i think) were these the best ones to buy from govee. They don’t have a remote which is something I thought would be better because this meant the app could do more. Was I wrong or would u recommend another strip ?
It’s always good to have a remote for quick access but it’s personal preference

Hi there, when syncing two strips together can you choose where each starts? Meaning I'd like to put two strips together seamlessly but with their power source starting from the same place. Will they go in opposite directions?
Depends on the sizing but I’m sure they’ll be similar you can change the direction if anything
What about ir You have 3 LED srips, You have them in a group for sync músic, and you want 2 to start he same way and 1 diferente, is that possible?
Not possible at the moment just group the two going the same way and make a separate diy going the opposite direction

Hey man these led lights are coming today for me and I read a decent amount of reviews and people are saying they get hot really quickly and can catch on fire or the app doesn't always work and will crash alot of the time and the colors would change by themselves..have you had any issues regarding the ones I've stated or had any issues with them that I haven't yet found out ?

Yes I’ve kept mine on for longer than 8 hours a day no issues
so, i got the 65.6 ft bluetooth RGBIC pack that comes with two 32.8 ft rolls. (they haven’t came in the mail yet, so when they do, my questions may or may not be answered after i take a look at them) but for now i have 2 questions. 1) when i put one roll up and need more lights, can i connect the second roll to the end of the first roll, or will i have to connect the second roll to the power bank and go around my wall the opposite way? and 2) if i have to put them up around my wall the opposite way, when i make them do a scene, will the scene mirror itself since the strips are going 2 different ways? (if that makes sense) thanks for the help!
Hi yes and yes, they will only be through a split ended portion going the opposite direction and they will be mirrored depending on the mode you can change it in which direction you want it to be to make it seem like it’s one strip

My govee home app is completely different from yours. It says I’m up to date but I have no idea how to sync to music. I’m so lost

Can they synced in music mode? I want to use multiple leds in my studio but they must be synced when i play music. Is there any latencu between leds?
They’re technically not able to because of the different mic placements only thing would be if you use your phone mic to get the music syncing
what to do with excess strip? how do you hide them? i.e. my wall is 8-9m but the strip is 10m. i want to cut 1m off but i heard you cant. thanks
You can use electrical tape to hide it or overlap
so i can have three strips sync'd together through the app, im looking into to getting some just want to make sure i can do that before i buy them

hi there! Question: if I have 2 led stripes, different lenght and brands, can I connect (sync, better) with these govee app? If i get it right, they must be both RGB or RGBIC, right?
It has to be Govee and the same category both Need to be rgbic or both need to be rgb
The app seems to have changed a bit since your video. I have 3 sets *2 32' rgbic. I can get them to all sync up but have no option to control scenes music or diy. I can only power them on, off or change solid colors. Any advice?

You must be doing same model version try grouping them that way or by Bluetooth gtoup

Planning a very extensive overhaul in my gamingroom with 2x 10m and 2x 5m Govee RGBIC strips, 3D wall panels and the monitor and tv thingies. Got to love the imagination, then the planning and looking up products. Wish I got to know Govee sooner.

so my problem is i know you cant cute them and add connectors BUT i have corners i need to put them around and there's part of my wall that slants upward so how am i supposed to put it in my room around corners and everything
What I do for tricky corners is DONT press them firmly as you do with the rest of the straight strip. And use brackets on both sides to help keep it up
I have the tv Govee light. If I buy the rgbic light strip and sync them all together, can I choose the video mode that comes with the govee light and have the light strips around my room sync with that?
I’m not sure I would have to try it but I don’t think it’ll sync them all ill check when I get home and let you know

Doesn't grouping just clone the settings for one strip and apply it to all the strips in the group? When you show the segment control (2:39, etc.), it's still the same number of segments. And in order for that to be the case, it's either just turning each strip into a clone of the other, or else it's doubling the number of lights in each segment, and treating the pair of strips as one super long one, with segments of 18 bulbs rather than 9.
Here's an experiment: Can you (via grouping) write a DIY which makes, say, segment 7 of strip one pulsate red, along with, say, segment 11 of strip two pulsate blue (for a total of two segments lit up)? Or does this simply result in _each_ strip showing _both_ segments 7 and 11 (for a total of _four_ segments lit up) (i.e., cloning)?
When you say cloning do you just mean they're the exact same? Because I have the same query..... like they aren't going to flow through each other and act as a 32ft strip... they're just going to have identical scenes seperatley on each one

You might need to have one go in the opposite direction.

I thought RGB and RGBIC were the same thing and I have the RGB ones and I was wondering why they couldn’t do the cool color Changing animations. Mine only change all the lights at once.

It has to be Rgbic and you can group them just change it from same model to “Bluetooth or WiFi”
