To the mix engineer(s) on this album, we salute you. This is by far the best sounding album ever out out by LoG. Such an incredible sound was achieved with every instrument. Bravo!
The first time I heard this album was after I bought the deluxe CD from Walmart. I was 17 and had been a fan of LOG for 2 years since I heard ashes of the wake. When this song, more specifically that main riff started immediately after that intro to the album I nearly came. LOG has been my favorite band ever since
@@smithyMcjoeYeah and now everyone in the metal community acts like they're beginner metal and they're not good. I swear the metal community is full of some of the most toxic gatekeepers ever
I kno I have to listen to Chris's shit a couple times sometimes to fully hear what he's got going on. Sad hes gone but new dudes got skills. I took a bit of a hiatus from LOG, wrath was the last album I had. That was before I knew about using UA-cam to listen to music lol
Don’t get me wrong, Chris Adler is my favourite drummer In the world, not because he’s so good, but because I feel he genuinely writes drums to fit songs like no one before him. But a simple snare to tom roll finished with a cymbal splash?
@@Duarki Its a 16th note roll with the splashes on each downbeat, then into a tom/ double bass (portnoy style fill) into a cymbal grab. A bit more challenging and unique compared to what someone else may have done. Add the speed and its mind boggling. Give it a try! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion though. Cheers.
@@MartinBellamyMBDrums ohhhhh a 16th note. yeh, I didn’t know what that was, especially because they r unrecognisable to even someone who doesn’t play the drums. and do u mean he grabbed the cymbal? that’s insane. I wondered why the note died.
@@Duarki yup, so at the end he grabs the cymbal to stop the sound. But the full full is: a splash cymbal followed by 3 snares (x4), Tom Tom- bass bass- Tom Tom -bass bass- snare -cymbal grab Pretty cool 🤘
At 3:25 this song goes nuclear for me. I cant explain it. One odd thing is it reminds me of the Beatles last note in "A day in the Life". He seems heavy and complicated but soothing. Like a rainstorm. It actually reminds me of when Andy escapes the prison in Shawshank Redemption or when Dan screams at god in Forrest Gump. Like the music is pouring over me. And this is an important moment.
YESS I came here to see if anyone felt the same way. I cannot, *cannot* explain in words how absolutely legendary the outro is. No other song has ever made me feel the same as from 3:25 on and I will never not get goosebumps from it.
Played this album religiously when I was studying for my final exams 6 years into university. The triumphant part of this song never sounded so good as when I put it on immediately after my last exam, while waiting at a train station. Absolute freedom. That was 12 years ago
2:40 and on, is my favorite part of any song ever. And this is from someone who mainly listens to ray Wiley hubbard, Tyler childers, colter wall and turnpike troubadours. But i love LoG.
Took me almost 20 yrs but ive finally grown fond of randys style. Always known log was instrumentally superior just never could handle screeching lyrics till last few years.
@Orpheus Aye it's really not the same without Addler but Art isn't a slouch by any means and they're still making good metal . The newest stuff is just not up to the standard of proper old school Lamb Of God
Man I kick my foot up on a pallet at work every time this song comes on in my headphones at work ready to swing my dreads I don’t have and annihilate Randy’s vocals lmao!
It’s interesting that I hear a lot of influence from the song Descending off the Sacrament album that initially received a lot of distaste from the band members when initially brought forth by Mark which ended up being an absolute favorite by many Lamb of God fans. Hmm! 🧐
Reverb of the strings. Open a piano and they are strings like most instruments so they sound similar at times. Nice observation i just noticed it because of your comment
Favorite LOG song! Sounds amazing with good bass. I'll always have this memory now, when I got off work one day and was stuck at a light, this song was playing and I listen to music loud in my car. This car on my right rolled their windows down and 4 people started air drumming so I cranked the volume to max and the part at 3 minutes and 25 seconds came on and they were blown away!
If ANYONE has the lamb of god vol 3 with this song but it's the rehearsal demo PLEASE upload that because it's far better then the finished version man and I can't find it anywhere.
3:10 "I'm Randy Blythe" -- Randy Blythe
I don't hear it but that's funny
The ending of this song might be one of the greatest pieces of music written in the last 20 years. Its just so fucking pleasing to listen to.
It brings me tears of joy and determination in the face of insurmountable odds
The range of emotions in this song is what makes it so great.
So brutal to start, but so uplifting to end.
Agreed, it's one of my favourite passages of music.
The drummers foot work is to insane in this song
Chris Adler. Beast!
Chris Adler 🤘🏻
Legend he's got 3 feet
His footwork is insane in every song.
A quote from a friend I'll never forget; "Chris Adler drums like it's raining goats on a sheet metal roof" 🤣
most underrated song done by LoG
ALWAYS gotta play The Passing first, then slam into this 😈
One of the many my guy
Honestly. Ive been listening to log since the 6th grade. Im 27 and this is one of my absolute favorites from them
A-fucking-men!!!!
Everything LOG does is underrated
Over 10 years later this album still gives me the goosebumps.
10 years? Shit, feels like yesterday
Yeah 😊
Hi there
Masterpiece 🔥 🤘
Best metal band of all time. Take what you want old school here. This is the shit

I think this is still my favourite song from Lamb of God to this day. They consistently leave me completely speechless in awe.
I can totally understand ou having this as your favourite song from Lamb of God, this is my favourite of this album

Always leaves my legs like jello after playing drums to this one.
Surprisingly heavy for how much clean singing is emphasized in this song
I can play the first 4 bars at a tenth of the speed and that's about all I can hope to get out of life.
keep working at in there riffs will make you better for sure just get it down then work the speed up.
@@rulonramirez6356 good human right there, remember if you play guitar ,you suck, but some suck less than others.....an hour a day
Randy's vocal work on this album is goated
This band is so underrated
Mate Lamb Of God were massive what you on?

Chris Adler have a great taste for metal drum fills 🤟🏻
Chris Adler God level drummer
This is American Metal.
I forgot how much i love this entire album!
The bass line during that outro
This is my absolute favorite Log song ever.
2:31 has to be one of the best placed drum fills. The splash and snare roll boggle my mind every time. An absolute masterpiece from start to finish

You need an uplifting outro after listening to 3:25 minutes of brutality.
Exactly the comment I was looking for lmao that part has always resonated with my soul
3:43 OMG !!!!

Top 3 LOG songs easily... 💯🤘

Best song on wrath! Who knew wrath had such an impact on me. Everyone used to have this album in 2009
Best album of lamb of god hands down.
100%
I feel like it's so slept on, too. Easily the best sound quality wise.
THE CORPSE BLOATED WITH RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!
0:52 and 1:47 beautiful guitar parts that gives me goosebumps
I think this is my favorite LOG song
The outro to this just absolutely takes me away, I would have loved for an entire album of melodic metal like that from LoG
My favourite Lamb of God song. That outro is sublime
Idk why but the slide John does at 2:46 gets me so hyped 🔥🔥🔥
Chris Adler's grooves were unreal
Chris adler god
Amazing. I got recently into Lamb Of God, I listened to Ashes Of The Wake. Amazing Album. Now I'm listening to Wrath.

Lots of top tier metal that I love but no matter what log stands alone in its own unrivaled class....a true musical treasure

I use to think it was lamp of god till I turned the light on and seen it waz a lamb
Thursday night 23 December 2021. Take care and all the best.
One of the best songs from Lamb Of God
Man I kick my foot up on a pallet at work every time this song comes on in my headphones at work ready to swing my dreads I don’t have and annihilate Randy’s vocals lmao!
Insane song
Idk but I think this one could be the best song of rock n roll since the Big Bang
fundamentally .. you have to listen to the passing first.... but this is up there with music ... music as a physical joy!!!!
edit :yup
Первый трек нехило так напомнил металликовский Райд зе лайтинг. Не то чтобы ноты один в один, но с легким уклоном. )) ретро))
I feel bad for anyone who didn’t get to experience this track as their live opener during the Wrath world tour
They need to start playing it again.
