This was very useful. I'm not going to correct the wrong sample rate but instead turn a 44.1k file to 96 etc for sound design. I usually started a new project and had to import the file for another project. Knowing this, I now dont have to. Nice one!! You always have really helpful vids. Cheers
THANK YOU, I have been waiting for an explanation to help me get out of the mess I made! This is really about the Pool, I had no idea how powerful the Pool was! You explain things so well, appreciate you man.
Thanks for covering this topic. You helped me restore my audio files to their original sample rate after they were unexpectedly changed somehow. Much appreciated. Your band sounds great.
Hey thx for the info. When importing songs it’s different. Open Project setup and sample rate is flagged. Selecting it to 48k pops up a menu that allows all files to convert. However, the final answer regarding aligning files to time should be No. Otherwise, they will not align unless all files were recorded from the same location.
Hi, thank you for this video. Question: What is the reason to use 48kHz instead of the 44.1kHz sample rate? If I print the song on a CD (I know - old fashioned), the sample rate has to be 44.1kHz anyway. Do you really have a phonic advantage to record in 48kHz?
Thanks. I have recorded files that are all in 48k but prefer to work in 44.1k, how would you suggest importing them into a new project at 44.1k? At the moment they are all in a 48k Cubase project, is there an easy way to convert the project?
@@LanewoodStudios I mean the window in which Cubase offers to change the sample parameters (sampler and bit depth), like in your video. I don't have this.
@@A.Stromouse ah yes now I understand, thanks. As you can see in that dialog window there is a checkbox called “Do not ask again”. I bet you once clicked that and now Cubase always chooses the settings that you selected back then. There is a way to restore that in the preferences but can’t remember the exact preference because I’m not at my DAW now. See if you can find it and otherwise I’ll look it up.

How do you deal with incorrect sample rates?

Great advice. I wish I knew this a year ago when I spent an hour trying to correct tracks in wavelab...doh!
Good to know for next time 😉.
A very clear explanation. Thanks very helpful!
Thank you!
Great video. ❤❤
Thank you!
I caught the first song on the album @Apple Music. Dig it. I look forward to the rest
Thanks. That would be Shadow or Sun.

It's debatable but I've always recorded in 48KHz and many do. In addition, you now need to be in 48KHz if you want to mix Dolby Atmos in Cubase.
Dear Sir..
Can midi notes be played in between from any points than starting point..
in Cub 12 ..as this feature is available in Studio one pro..
I’m not sure what you mean because it does not seem to relate to the subject in the video? But you can put midi notes anywhere on a midi track.

Yeah I outlined it above.
Yes try changing the sample rate in project setup.
Hi!
Can you make deep dive for Project Logical Editor pls? 🙏
I will put it on the list 😎😁
What should I do if I don't get a window when I drag a sample? How can I get it back?
Not sure I understand what you mean. Is it related to something I'm showing in this video?
