- This is probably one of the greatest covers of a classic rock song I've ever heard in my life. I loved every minute of it. Austins voice shreds this song to its core and rebuilds it as a masterpiece of music. I hope you enjoyed my reaction. I have to admit I was a little afraid to watch this because I didn't know if the word "Destroyed' in your title meant you thought it was good or bad, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. They usually do their covers respectfully, another thing I like about Home Free.

I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim's bass. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds.

This is my favorite cover from Home Free. So many are upgrades and, despite my love of the nostalgic originals, their covers are almost always better. They take advantage of having an original to build from.

These guys are the absolute best. There harmonies are just absolutely spot on. Voiceplay and Pentatonix cannot do what Home Free. Does these five guys just absolutely fit together perfectly. Love your reaction brother. Keep it up

Home Free is my favorite a cappella band, no question. You can depend on them to respect the original artists of the covers they choose, and to interpret them with master class translations of instrumentals to vocals. The Doobie Bros. can only approve of this one -- so happy and free! Love your reaction and comments.

I’ve been listening to Home Free for a while now and there’s one thing I’ve learned and noticed about them is for almost every song that they play or do they stay pretty much close to the original as they can I guess to kind of honor the original artist
The ability to cover this song at all for any band would be a challenge but Home Free came through.
This is simply excellent again!! I have been a fan of the Doobie Brothers for a long time. This song is just timeless. It still swings. Really something for Home Free. So great sung, so great harmonies, bone-feeling bass, But for me it's Adam who makes it truly phenomenal. He nailed it. The vocal percussion is just inhumane. So unbelievably good. For me the very best beatboxer/vocal percussionist/mouth artist there is.

I like how they pretty much stay true to the cover songs they do.
I like certain songs for a reason. When a group changes it too much.
They eliminate the reasons I liked it in the first place.

I was lucky enough to hear Doobie Brothers in person. I really like Home Free rendition,. I agree with your ranking of a capella groups. Home Free is kinda like when your grandma got her 1st color TV. The difference is breathtaking.

Another new sub here who almost didn’t want to watch, but I had hopes it was out there to catch our attention. Glad I watched! Nothing like finding another Home Free fan who loves them as much as I do! They’re definitely my favorite a cappella group, with Voice Play right on their heels.

I'm always glad when they cover an iconic song like the Doobie Bros. "Let the music play" and bring it to new generations to enjoy. They're always respectful to the original (and when they collaborate with other artists, they always highlight them). Their singing, harmonies & beatboxing are incomparable. Tim & Austin sing "Rocky Top" with Straight No Chaser (another acapella group that's really good). Happy New Year!!
as a big fan of the Doobie Brothers, what is amazing to me is Adam Rupp's floor toms and the fullness of the drums on this. It took 2 full kits when the Doobie Brothers recorded and performed this song and Adam just achieves the impossible Vocally . *chuckle the guys did the Doobie Brothers proud with this one.

Just discovered your channel. Despite your not feeling well, this is one of the best reactions I've seen to this HF video. Applaud tou for being new to these guys but already know their names. Loved your observations as to what each of the guys was doing, at certain points. I was a huge fan of the DBs back when their songs were only on the radio or vinyl (which I had). I hope you can do some Bass Gang too. Tim joins them for Hooked On a Feeling and their video for Arabian Nights, dropped just a few months ago is the first time any of them (3 out of 4) met face to face after years of making videos together.

Ikr! One of things I love about Home Free is that there is nothing political in their music. It's made for everyone to enjoy. They don't make a show of shooting up beer cans then going to their bar and drinking said beer. Watching Home Free reactions is my happy place and bringing politics into a reaction (no matter if left or right) kinda harshes my mellow.

That extremely low note might have been Adam Rupp. His singing voice is a lovely sweet tenor, but he has access to very very low sound effects, also crazy high wails as you hear in this.
This was a good review, so I did hit "Like", but your "IMPEACH BIDEN" hat is ludicrous, so won't be subscribing.
