Your channel has been such a great way to show my partner and my kids all about Spain, as we have been unable to travel back for me to show them. We are hopeful to visit in the future and you have given us some great ideas of things to see and do in other parts of Spain. Keep doing your thing, it’s fabulous!

James and Yoly, I love your videos. Your videos helped me plan my first Spain trip back in 2017. I have been a fan since. Thank you for your informative videos , as always. The Pandemic put a pause on my return trip to Madrid, but I hope to visit soon. Stay safe and healthy! Cheers! Saludos from los Estados Unidos. Oh! And you guys now live near were my parents lived! My parents lived in el barrio Concepcion. On my first trip to Madrid, I visited Quintana and Concepcion. Loved the neighborhood vibe. Had my first tinto de verano there. Cheers!
I would like to add my 2 cents to this video. As a resident of Valencia, the city center is open and thriving. There are a lot of restaurants and tapas locations that are open for business. Some are even opened on Sunday. Places may be open in Spain but masks are still required wherever you go. So, keep that in mind. People wear masks while walking outdoors too with the only exception to remove it while drinking or eating. The weather in Valencia has been quite warm so if you are planning to visit, come prepared with comfortable clothes and sunscreen. The fashion here is quite relaxed, but please, no socks and sandals !!! Prepare for a wonderful time here. Spain hasn't lost anything which makes this country unique during the pandemic. The food is still outstanding, the people are still welcoming and the beverages continue to flow. Bon Voyage!
We had a trip to Valencia cancelled last year. Unfortunately our government are making travel difficult at the moment, but can't wait till when we can visit Valencia. Definitely no socks and sandals
Adding to your two cents, just a tip, when yoli talked about non alcoholic beverages he though of Madrid. If you go to Valencia, HORCHATA is a very worthy addition.
Congratulations on expecting a baby!!! Love your videos. Going there in a couple of weeks to stay a couple of months in Madrid. I’d love to run into you guys to say hello!
So very nice to see you out together. Your itinerary stops continue to be a pleasure to stroll along to learn of endless sights of beautiful Spain. Ole!
I've booked an accommodation and flight tickets to Barcelona (in August). If the situation gets worse I'm ready to not go (flight tickets are non-refundable, but I and my wife can live with ~200€ less). There are generally good prices for accomodations right now and they are often refundable up to few days before arrival, which is really great.
I was going to portugal and then onto Spain but im being cautious about the reality of country hopping so im holding off booking for the time being. Enjoyed the video
As a Spaniard, I can tell you not to be worried. Vaccination is advancing steadily, and ICU units are only at 10% of their capacity. Next weekend, masks will stop being mandatory outside (if safety distance can be kept). We still need them for interior areas, public transportation, stores... For the first time in very long, the government is optimistic, and so are the people. Things are looking to improve.
It felt delightful when I saw you were back. I got so exited to see you showing Madrid again💓 Both of you look great and Yoli is so "coqueta" dancing, it was fabulous. Your baby was even dancing. My daughter Fernanda has started Flamenco classes without telling me🇪🇸 I am sure your enthusiasm is so catchy, you'll bring a lot of tourists. Thank you for this😍
I’m there now in the Canary Islands but Boris needs to turn Spain 💚. The 10 day quarantine and £150 tests putting lots of people off.! I wish you all the luck for tourism to return soon . 🥰
Muchas felicidades a los dos por vuestro embarazo, Yoli está bellísima. Me parece que hacéis un trabajo impagable dando a conocer al mundo entero lo maravillosa que es nuestra querida España. Muchísimas gracias.
I went to Spain in 2019 as part of my Eurail trip. It was the best place out of about 20 contries I visited. It has come a long way in 30 years. Immaculately clean, and modern. Well worth the trip there.
So good to hear from you both and get some reassurance that things are open and ready for tourism. I'm really looking forward to the next time I'll be able to visit (hopefully sooner rather than later!). We shall see!
Love your passionate work and enthusiasm for this channel. Thank you! Can't wait to take the family back to Madrid and visit all the places you both have talked about in your videos. Question: Is Granada going to be on any of your upcoming videos?

You can teach how to make orxata, as there is many places where they do not have it: "Xufa" tiger nut (or rush nut) put in rice water (boil some rice with water because if you make it with normal water is very laxative) one night or more, after then just mixed, filtered and cooled, and 24h more later you'll have 24h to drink it. Usually you add white sugar, but you can use stevia or honey, as it is healthier.

We've been to Spain four times and love it. My wife is Spanish South American and has family in Madrid. Hopefully we will be returning in the early Fall. As much as we love the country, summers in Spain are brutally hot, especially in the South.
Nice video! I loved everything except the HORCHATA! Having grown up in SoCal and had Horchata pushed on me, and living in New Mexico now (there is more emphasis on Spanish traditions here, as opposed to Mexican), I really love most Spanish and Mexican foods--except Horchata. Will be moving to Portugal in the next few years, and likely spending time in Spain. Thanks for the video.
I wish!! Us Australians are not allowed to travel anywhere except James' old stomping grounds in NZ. In the meantime we will continue to enjoy your vids and make plans. Thanks again. Now for a vermut.

Guys Iam going to Madrid for a week in September hopefully things are better.. Can’t wait to be there Missing la Madre Patria.. You guys are adorable....
James - Fan of the channel, you and Yoli. I will be traveling to Europe and was wondering which one of the Devour tours you recommend for Madrid, Barcelona and Paris. I will appreciate your opinion on which one would be worth spending a little bit of money on.
Hi Victor! Thank you for your message! In Madrid our Tapas, Taverns & History Tour is fantastic. And in Barcelona our Tastes, Tapas & Traditions of Barcelona is really popular. Finally in Paris check out our Ultimate Paris Food Tour You can book via www.devourtours.com If you need more help, drop us an email at info at devourtours dot com and we can help you out further!
@@spainrevealed Hello to you both. I had to make some budget decisions and for this year, did not renew as a member, but hope to be back in ;2022. You both are terrific and I wish you the very very best!
We are booked for September. Love watching your videos. While we plan our time in Madrid, which Flamenco show do you recommend? More authentic less touristy.
Hey Helena! I love shows at Carboneras, very intimate and great artists! There will be visitors that have taken an interest in flamenco, and also, there aren’t enough Spanish flamenco fans to fill up tablaos every day. 😉
We recently visited Madrid for the first time. It is a stunning city! I can see now why you fell in love with it & Yoly of course! We stayed at the Barrio de Letras. Have you ever visited the restaurant La Sanabresa? The food was incredible and reasonably priced.
Great video! I definitely think that nowadays is a good time, especially to visit the Barrios. Also, seeing Yoly pregnant has made me think you perhaps could do a video in the future about pregnancy or kids in Spain? I think different countries behave differently with kids, because for instance a friend of mine told me that, when she was visiting Copenhagen, she was very surprised to see people leaving strollers, sometimes with babies inside, at the door of pubs, and locals commented it was normal and not very accepted to enter a bar with kids. I think it might be interesting to talk about that topic, because (as I'm sure Yoly's case was as well), we Spanish kids were used to be at bars with our parents, even in the evening (especially during summer!), and even if our parents were having drinks and not just eating a meal. Perhaps that could interest your audience? Keep the great videos coming! 😊
Thanks Yoli + baby for this alegría + the little taste of Bulerías ? you were both dancing. l miss being hugged 🥺 When l lived in Spain not a day passed by without hugs (ningun dìa sin abrazos) or without someone saying 'Encantada(o) de conocerte' 🤗 💞💃 l miss the vibrant atmosphere, the food 😋, l miss speaking Spanish, but most of all l miss the people and how good they made me feel. 👏 And mi perrita was welcome everywhere 🐕🐾 sin problema. @@ymartinmendieta Yes - thanks Yoli - l DO want to come back for the typical welcoming buzzy Spanish lifestyle, but its being made very difficult for now. l had 10 years residencia but l will have to begin again with the more complex processes now in place. We’re so looking forward to our much delayed catch up with family. Even now the quarantine on return we don’t mind. What we do mind is the testing extortionate prices -for that we’re saving up additional cash even if spain remains amber for uk travellers
It's almost the same as in other countries. If the virus is still around in certain areas, it's better to be safe, especially with that Delta variant I hear is the next spreader. Hope it doesn't impact Spain too much. I have been waiting to return since 2020. I have had to put it off for two years. Now it's 2022, in my sights.
That was funny, Madrid is like Valladolid right now, followed by sarcastic laughter. Dude, my wife and I were in Jerez de la Frontera in Oct 2018, and it was exactly the same the last time I was there in 1989. JAJAJAJAJAJAJA!!!! Barcelona 2018 vs Barcelona 1988? That's a tough decision to make.
@2:45 "Dame" - I'm bad at Spanish and i've never come across this one - i have always used "Quisiera" or "me gustaria" or "Puedo tener X por favor" (or sometimes necessito!) Can anyone explain the use of dame? Google translate says it means "give to me" which sounds a bit demanding - is this just a case of overly polite Englishman?
Once in Spain, are we allowed to cross the borders? If yes are there any new procedures in place? or we can still hop on a Flixbus or train like the good old times?
I have a home in Pego (between Valencia and Alicante). I just visited for ten days in early July 2021. Sure, there were a few differences from the norm, but overall it was a great visit and so good to be back in Spain!

In Spain now, Valencia specifically. Masks off outside on the 26th
💪💪
Looking forward to the smiles tomorrow
Thanks for the video.
thanks for the video! I've booked my trip for July and hoping to visit Spain for the first time, so glad that it not as crowded yet.
I wish!!
Us Australians are not allowed to travel anywhere except James' old stomping grounds in NZ.
In the meantime we will continue to enjoy your vids and make plans.
Thanks again. Now for a vermut.
Soon Robert!!!
Yes, al looking good for our 3 week visit in september. By the way, congratulations and Yoly, I love your "cardigan". Want to buy something similar in Spain. Thanks for the great video 👍😁

Fan of the channel, you and Yoli.
Finally in Paris check out our Ultimate Paris Food Tour
You can book via www.devourtours.com

@@spainrevealed Hello to you both. I had to make some budget decisions and for this year, did not renew as a member, but hope to be back in ;2022. You both are terrific and I wish you the very very best!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Maureen Murphy Thank you and no worries! Thanks so much for having been part of our UA-cam member community! 😍
Looks so good, can't wait to get back to spain
We are booked for September. Love watching your videos.
While we plan our time in Madrid, which Flamenco show do you recommend? More authentic less touristy.
Hey Helena! I love shows at Carboneras, very intimate and great artists! There will be visitors that have taken an interest in flamenco, and also, there aren’t enough Spanish flamenco fans to fill up tablaos every day. 😉
@@ymartinmendieta thank you so much for the recommendation. Looking forward to our trip. ❤️
LOVE it, looks so great to be out and about in Madrid. Glad you guys are able to enjoy. Can’t wait to be back in Spain come August.
I'll have both vaccinations soon, and hope to visit Portugal and Galicia in October. Hope all is well guys.
Thanks Yoli + baby for this alegría + the little taste of Bulerías ? you were both dancing. l miss being hugged 🥺 When l lived in Spain not a day passed by without hugs (ningun dìa sin abrazos) or without someone saying 'Encantada(o) de conocerte' 🤗 💞💃
l miss the vibrant atmosphere, the food 😋, l miss speaking Spanish, but most of all l miss the people and how good they made me feel. 👏
And mi perrita was welcome everywhere
🐕🐾 sin problema.
She also learnt Spanish : 'Que guapa, preciosa, linda, noble, graciosa' - always got her reaction😍😘
Suerte y tranquilidad por el parto 🐣🐥
Thanks Miss Pee! Hmmm your message is full of that lovely warmth that many Spanish people share, no doubt! YOu should come back! Thanks for your wishes for the parto, I feel ready!
@@ymartinmendieta Yes - thanks Yoli - l DO want to come back for the typical welcoming buzzy Spanish lifestyle, but its being made very difficult for now.
l had 10 years residencia but l will have to begin again with the more complex processes now in place.
'Siempre hay solución con pacencia '
And as for my 🤗 warmth - you could blame my Irish blood
- Irish tend to feel magically at home in Spain - there's a natural affinity and def the same humour
Speaking Spanish was like l was reborn
Si estas casí al punto del parto, que queda cerca de una camita 24/7 🛏 - no sales 🤣
Awesome video!! Very informative and helped me calm my nerves a bit before traveling there 😅 God Bless your growing family!
We’re so looking forward to our much delayed catch up with family. Even now the quarantine on return we don’t mind. What we do mind is the testing extortionate prices -for that we’re saving up additional cash even if spain remains amber for uk travellers
See you next year!! ❤️
we booked our 3r trip to Spain as soon as we hear cant wait! yogi is looking great
It's almost the same as in other countries. If the virus is still around in certain areas, it's better to be safe, especially with that Delta variant I hear is the next spreader. Hope it doesn't impact Spain too much. I have been waiting to return since 2020. I have had to put it off for two years. Now it's 2022, in my sights.
don't believe the hype about the latest variant.. there are over 300,000 variants of Covid. It's fearmongering.
That's a tough decision to make.
should i go to spain as a tourist in this moment? new years eve and mostly all january
It's just more direct...absolutely normal!!
Congratulation on being pregnant! Thank you for all you do!
From the Philippines here! Cant wait to be back!
Once in Spain, are we allowed to cross the borders? If yes are there any new procedures in place? or we can still hop on a Flixbus or train like the good old times?
Many sleepless nights ahead congratulations on the baby🙏😴
I have a home in Pego (between Valencia and Alicante). I just visited for ten days in early July 2021. Sure, there were a few differences from the norm, but overall it was a great visit and so good to be back in Spain!
Let’s hope more people go there Spain like a lot of countries has suffered a lot from the lack of tourism
Thank you for your video! What’s the name of the bar in Pueblo Nuevo you ended the video with?
Hola, Javi! It’s Bar El Castillo, in calle Hermanos de Pablo 👍🏽
Going to madrid on January for a couple of days. Thanks for motivating me to go and visit for the first time. Hope to bump into you guys in Pueblo Nuevo
love you... so positive....so happy
Can't wait to go but the cost with 3 PCR tests required In UK makes it expensive 😬
im new here but i love travel vlog and i find interesting your content, lots of things to learn about foods, places, and the community and culture. Spain is one country i love to visit.
Yoli!!! Your pregnant, congratulations!!! So excited for you both.
