Charlie Hunnam and Jude Law where both in Cold Mountain and they reunite in the upcoming Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur, only this time they switch sides with Hunnam playing the heroic Arthur and Law playing the villainous Vortigern.
My ex nd I watch this movie I asked her if she recognized this mofo she was completely confused nd than I started hinting to her like put a motorcycle under him than she freaked out said he looked ugly than changed her mind when she knew who he was. Hahaha funny
In a civil war, all civility is lost, gangs of desperate men masquerading as militia/home guard/ volunteers/deserters/soldiers, raiding farms and towns, killing people; killing and lynching one another. The Rule of Law is replaced by the rule of savagery. That's evident in any civil war.
As many times as I have seen this movie in the past 20 years (hundreds), the part where Ennman takes out that blonde piece of trash with a shot, and then the camera holds a bit too long on Ennman, I am forever wanting the bloody cough not to happen…as if I can will that reality, captured on film and utterly unchangeable, to reverse itself and fail to occur THIS time. . Alas that is never to be. Who else is with me?
That is the greatness of the ending. It's unexpected, and gives the film far more weight through his death. If he lived and they gave it that happy ending it would have been far more of a forgettable film that would have none of the emotional impact that it did the way it was written
One thing I never understood about the scene is if Edmen cares so much about taking his gun and letting him ride free why didn’t he just let him ride free after the shoot out instead of chasing him?
Jude was perfect, maybe a bit too English looking, but other than than that I thought by the end of the movie he looks utterly beaten down by everything he has been through. I love the ragged beard and long hair he grows along his journey, never taking the time io bother to tend to his appearance during the long journey until he reaches his destination at the end.
This was a great book all the way until this scene. Believe me, I don't mind a good tragedy. Some of the best stories ever told were tragedies, but I hated this. Whenever I talk about terrible endings ruining otherwise good books or movies, this comes up.
Thats the problem with gun fights if you tie your the winner of a losing game real world i wouldent have gave him the chance to draw i woulda dropped him soon as i seen him or the horse he had the right idea if you ever find your self in a fair fight your tactics suck iv only been in 2 gun fights neither one was on american soil and neither one was a colt they were black plastic matel nanufactured looking things but u can believe the minute we were hard contacted it became sureal almost like slow motion time seems to stand still while your finding your target in the mbus

Charlie should do a series about a gang of horse riding bandits called Sons of the Confederacy.
One Greatest film movie, few sad parts But history story . Enjoy listen to soundtrack songs but watch more once in movie theater. Back then.

"The Confidence of Youth".
I always loved this scene. Charlie Hunnam was also one of the best characters in this movie, if not the best.
"The wisdom of age..."
@@lonewolf333 the best by far was Enman
Ppl had to be savages just to survive back then... who knows? Those days may come again.

Nicole used to be such an angelic looker
@Isabelle Castaldi what the hell are you talking about lol Reneé is actually from the South
"I'll tell you what I got on my side...the confidence of youth."
Overconfidence more like.
He wasn’t wrong, stupid but not wrong. He quick drew on a man who already had the drop on him & still pulled & hit his mark. Boy was quick
hell, his accent is waaaay better than during sons of anarchy for sure...they should have sent him packin..geeze
The home guard boys were in some serious trouble against a veteran soldier.

the officer not a bad ass anymore, edmond put him where he belong lol
Charlie hunnams accent isn't as bad as people say. Nicole and renee's are definitely worse.
Lol Renee is from the south
Dammmmmmm it nooooooo
I didn’t like this ending. Goes through the war and all he went through to get home and then dies.

an australian, twelve brits and one switz-norwegian. All joining ranks in the Fruitcake factory!
Vesa Hugh Nell jack white and Renée are Americans

He figured hed only ride a little ways down and then wait in ambush.
Jude Law just doesn't cut it as Inman for me. A young Clint Eastwood maybe. Jude just isn't haggered enough. Nicole is good as Ada though.
Clint Eastwood is always too pissed off in every role and he definitely isn't right for a calm character like Inman. And imo,Jude nailed Inman.
Clint eastwood was too old... so jude law must cut Inman for you

Charlie Hunnam was so mean in this movie! So young….ah but then SOA was made!!!!! Lol

زن سمت چپی خیلی خوشگله
I would have just let the albino coward run , no one was gonna help him . Inman could have gotten him later
بینی اش اندازه بندانگشت کوچک است
Was freeing the slaves worth it?
Yes.
Freeing the slaves and splitting slaver skulls was worth it, yeah
It wasn't for slavery after all.

why does his nose bleed so much in this movie???
Something to do with albinism.
AIDS. He had nothing to lose anyway.
Killing exites him. Master Roshi has the same reaction to boobies in Dragon Ball.
