Alien 1979 is so well made it quintessentially has beaten most other movies of the likes that have been released in the 2 decades that followed it... Surpassing all the technological marvels of even today... The movie is so well acted, the characters feel so life like and authentic, down to the detail and nothing beats great practical effects, alien suits with an actor in it, lighting and scenes... When you see the alien on screen, you know you are looking at something that is real. Unlike CGI which has in essence, devolved the experience.
I want to deeply apologize for ads appearing in this video. It entirely ruins the experience and pacing I wanted to create. Unfortunately theirs nothing I can do about it as UA-cam forces videos that are copy-written from having ads removed.
This right here is the best recapture of what Alien was all about. There was nothing other quite unique like it. I stand with HR Giger(may he rip) that sequels destroyed the mystery of this creature. Prequels failed on every level their attempt to explain where the Alien came from and what was that creature in Derelict Spaceship stranded on a dead planet with warning distress signal. That is why Alien is so amazing. Just watching it I wish that I could be a little kid again who hides behind the sofa every 2 minutes. It's sad that today nobody can create something so truly amazing like this. All we can get from the cinema is either prequel/sequel/remake/reboot or all at the same time. And it's usually involves superheroes. So lucky to be born in 80's. Amazing movies, creative people and fear of unknown. Now everything is predictable, boring and usually makes no god damn sense. Like for example the new Star Wars films...
You nailed it. The time of groundbreaking movies is almost over, it has begun in the late 60s, vietnam, hippie movement and rock'n roll were the catalyzer for a whole generation to produce countless extraordinary directors, actors and movies: From 'The Graduate', 'Space Odyssey 2001' and 'Easy Rider' to 'Apocalypse Now', 'Deer Hunter' and 'Star Wars' to 'Dances with Wolves', 'Heat' and finally 'Titanic', almost every year more than one milestone of movie art and passion. Every digitally remastering of those classics is far more worth than the newest visual watch-and-forget mass entertainment (with some exceptions ofc). Wtf i can't get a digitally remastered version of 'Abyss' today !!! Sickening.
I was watching all Alien movies with my girlfriend not so long ago with a nice finish in cinema to see Alien Covenant. Amazing journey. (Didn't see AvP and Requiem for our own good) Verdict was even. Alien was the best one on the list. Such a shame that they didn't explore relationship between Ripley and Dallas just like it was originally written during casting. Re-watching Alien scenes with them you can clearly see that there might be something between them. If only we could get extended cuts like in Lord of the ring movies with 4 hour long run time... : ) I know that SEGA is working on another Alien game due to the success of Isolation. Hopefully they'll deliver. Fingers crossed. Scorn was pushed back unfortunately. Mr HR GIGER's mind is something horrors desperately need these days. I really had enough of zombies, ghosts and poor alien-like copies. Anyway I watched your movie again. That music in the end when Ripley is talking to Amanda. Damn. So nostalgic. No wonder that people are drinking with age.
I concur. Not sure the recent alien films have come close to, they certainly haven't surpluses, that first masterpiece. No studio, or even directors/writers seem to follow the path to genuinely answer the questions the fans have. They do it to make money not to make us happy. I do enjoy the alien franchise but I do think they could've gone a different route if they had the vision. Fingers x'd for the future though, you never know! 😁
Absolutely brilliant. Fan tribute stuff typically bores me to tears, but you guys, for lack of a better descriptor, "get it". I just recommended this video to everyone I've ever met.
Thank you very much, i have no clue why x5 is absent for quite some time but i'm reading here regularly. Hopefully he is doing well. Yep, it's the best thing that happened to me regarding movie making and it's going to become a classic game movie over time. ALIEN is still a valuable brand and will be, no matter what this senile Ridley Scott is talking when drunk.
Poor drunk British Grandpa. He used to be so smart and fun...now he just swears and pees himself. :( You guys pros? I mostly edit crappy reality shows these days, but I'm a recovering film student (and lifelong Alien geek), and I thought the choices made throughout were exceptional.
Haha, far from pros, just ordinary people and x5 doing still a hard job, he is a talented editor, i was only capturing the Alien and free cam material, only his edition made it great. Yep, i can imagine that the media business is not a pleasure at all, it's all about making some money, not some art. I think that only a few have the opportunity for that.
LOL. It's not quite as bad as all that. Yeah, I'd rather be working on higher caliber material, but I've managed to sneak in a Kubrick joke in almost every show I've ever worked on. We get our licks in. ;) Yes, the piece is well-edited, especially the audio. But even Alien was a group effort with its share of happy accidents. It's good to stay humble, but feel free to value your own contribution. Good work.
Wow! Finally watched this after making your "Isolation" movie a regular part of my Alien marathons. You have such great cinematic sense, and created a truly intense, reverent, and moving experience. Thank you for all the time and talent you've invested into these!
This actor’s performance is beyond compare..the movie has had impact for many watchers year after year since its release who don’t like it, that there are no aspects of it that aren’t quite powerful and evocative.
Can you imagine how scary it would really be to be caught on a ship or station with an alien like that? Crawling through the vents, knowing it uses it to. Not knowing if your flamethrower will scare it off or piss it off. Not to mention being eggmorphed by the alien...
WOW!!! That was Freaking A-MAZING!!! I love how you showed The Alien crawling through the vents going after Dallas! You don’t see that in the movies or Alien Isolation!! But still love both of them. Lol Really really LOVE this 🖤🔥💚🔥🖤🔥💚🔥 Amazing Job!!!
@@teknicron1080 Oh trust me , I’ve had it happen to me as well in Alien Isolation and it’s Absolutely Terrifying!! It’s just I’ve never noticed (until watching this video) I’ve never realized how a Xenomorph can move around the vents so quickly seeing the size of it! Idk why I just thought about that!! The way it crawls around in those vents and how Big it is!
Probably the best way to pay homage to the eternal classics. You two have done a tremendous job, hats off to you and Max. This is the very essence of why we love Alien universe in the first place: mix of true suspense, horror and action.
That is very kind of you to say. The horror aspect and the intelligence of the create seem to be in short supplies as of late. Since everyone knows what the Alien looks like, we wanted to portray him as a hunter. I still wanted to keep him in the shadows and show off how cool he looks, but being a hunter instantly gives the Alien a degree of intelligence we haven't seen since Alien 3 or Aliens. At least I hope that came across. Glad you enjoyed the film!
Not only a degree of intelligence, but also a sense of an imminent menace which is exactly what the Alien is supposed to be. Unlike anything that came out after Alien 3, your film reproduces that sense in complete. That's why it is so cool ;)
I love Alien, it may be my favorite film. One of the film's best decisions was that the Alien was given little screen time, which worked especially in scenes where Dallas was in the ducts. The motion tracker was a fantastic way of setting the tension by giving only a vague idea of where the Alien was. Same with the sequence where Ripley has to begin the self destruct, it's more frightening when you're never sure where the Alien is until it makes a sudden and momentary appearance after a long period of anticipation.
Stunningly executed, a big well done to all involved. As an Alien fan, I love and appreciate this as a wonderful piece of cinematic art. Thank you for doing this 👏🏼
Outstanding Reel Movie and Brilliant Editing dude. So much atmosphere and the Alien shots are actually like those ones were a villain walks past the camera!!! Max Headshot: fricking Xenologist Photographer. Definite subb :):):)
That was great. It's cool to see those cuts to the Alien during some scenes, I wouldn't have liked that in the original movie, but here it makes sense since it's an addition to something we've watched a lot of times.
Thank you! That was the entire point of the film. I didn't want to recreate what we've all already seen, but sort of add to the experience something new. It's not an easy thing to do. The person I was working on the film with who captured those amazing alien shots, recreated the death scene of Bret almost perfectly shot for shot, but I had to turn it down because it was simply recreating what we've seen before. It was cool, but nothing new. I wanted it to feel different and yet familiar. Thanks for enjoying the film!
I've seen some pretty good game movies, but God damn this was a brilliant fucking game movie! I'll tell you this is probably one of the best films I have ever seen on this channel since Dead Space 1. I absolutely loved the scene with Dallas in the vents, the tension that was building up throughout that scene was the best on the edge of my seat experience you could say. Same goes for Parker's death scene, perfect angles and fantastic shots even at 17:57 to be the best in my view how you presented the alien looking down as he is about to bite Parker's head off. The only small complaint that I don't think I should even have about this might be that there are too many scenes of the alien, but hell even those shots are brilliant that I can't even complain about that. The best scene of the alien is honestly at 25:10 It just makes you think that the alien does have a mind of it's own, it's not just a creature that kills whatever it sees, this thing has a personality, it can sense the danger that is about to happen, it can sense fear as it survives. You can almost say that it's a "perfect organism" in its shots alone. You deserve the love that this film did. I did not expect any of this to happen, but damn it was good. I'll be looking forward to whatever upcoming film projects that you have for the future. I have a feeling that you'll be working on Halo 3 soon since there won't be an anniversary coming out, but I could be wrong since you are working on Red Dead and For Honor. But I don't know what happens next, that's up to you. You should be proud of the work you have done, like I always say, keep up the fantastic work!
I'm thrilled to hear it! My biggest objective and Max, the co-creator, was shocked I was putting this much attention to it, was making the Alien seem like more than just a killing machine. It's thinking, it's hunting, it's planning its attacks. I'm so happy that came across. You maybe right about how much we show the Alien, but I did my best to keep it in the shadows; minus a few times when the shot was simply too cool to pass up. And to say it's one of the best game film since Dead Space one, really means a lot. This film was a real passion project, much like Dead Space 1 was, and I'm so happy that comes across. As for next projects, like you said, I'm starting work on Red Dead, I'd like to finish up on For honor, and Halo 3 is still on the docket. There is someone releasing a Halo 3 movie on September 25th and I'm looking forward to seeing how good he does. Halo Reach is another game I'd like to do, and believe it or not, I'm a huge fan of Destiny and oh, the ideas I have for that are INSANE! I'd need actors and a full script...it'd be extreme even by my standards. Glad you liked the film!
You are having a destiny film project with voice actors!? I have no idea how you are gonna do that, but if the way you do it can help make the story better and give the characters more depth than what we got then no doubt I will look forward to that.
I've considered it! I had hopes that the Halo 2 film I made last year would take off and it didn't. Had it, I would have been more seriously working on it. Currently its only an idea in my head, but yes, the idea would be to create REAL characters that we can watch grow and become invested it. The lack of characters in Destiny it what really hurt the story and I think it would be fun to inject some of the fun we all had with friends in our fireteams. If it ever happens, Ill be sure to let you be the first to know. As you know, the story in Destiny is thin, so I'd have to recreate a lot of the story elements found in the grimore cards and somehow inject it into the game. It would be amazing if I could pull it off.
Knowing how much work would go into this type of project, I'd approach it just like someone making a television show. That would mean I'd first make a pilot episode with a beginning middle and end; probably running 20 to 30 minutes in length and than see what peoples reaction was to it. If people liked it I'd make more. If it caught on I'd go episodic without a doubt.
I love all Alien movies and I love Alien: Isolation, but this...this...this is FANTASTIC. There are so much videogames movies, but they only show cutscenes...this is the most original videogame movie I've ever seen.
I keep saying it, but thank you so much. You guys have no idea how much it means to me to be seeing all the kind words. It truly means everything; thank you!
@@gin.590 i love aliens too, but i was wondering if you would agree with me on this: i think it ruined the xenomorphs. just by watching this, you can see how mysterious and otherworldly the xenos were supposed to be. i didnt like the idea of a queen (predictable hierarchy, it’s not ALIEN) and i didn’t like how they killed the xenos off so easily. even one is supposed to be a death sentence
I have no words of praise that you haven't already heard by now, Hx5 and crew. I loved the movie and the experience! Thank you for all your hard work and effort!
This was amazing work. Too bad i didnt had the courage to watch the full video coz i wasnt even to play alien isolation coz of the eerie music and nervousness. But good job man.
This is stunning work - those alien animations are awesome and the detail and quality of the graphics really add to the atmosphere! It's so good that it could almost be deleted/alternate scene footage taken from the original movie. In fact I bet you could incorporate a lot of it seamlessly into the movie. Another masterpiece and I can't wait for your next one!
This is amazing. It lets me experience a timeless classic in a new way. Those closeup shots of the monster is really well done! A little piece of advice: shorten the gameplay scenes, cut them short or simply edit them out to make the video look more like a movie. Amazing work! Nice use of Alien Covenant score! PS: Kept waiting for the fourth act but it seems in this version ALIEN never made it onboard Narcissus.
I want to say that to be called co-creator is honoring me pretty much. I'm convinced that x5 could have make it all himself and even better if he wouldn't be a die-hard xbox fan. So i had some unexpected luck to be part of this project whose dimensions i initally did not realize at all. 'Some footage, okay, no problem, i love Xeno filming' Surely the Alien footage was not bad but without x5's awesome editing skills and creativity it would be probably quite boring. Working together can increase ambitions at times. Has everybody noticed the many little details of video, audio and sound editing ? It's got a masterpiece that i never had expected to be no matter how many views it will finally get, a perfect movie/game hybrid. Great job, x5, and you are a very nice person too.
x5 CiNEMA YOU BOTH NAILED IT , THE MUSIC THE EDITING , AWESOME !!!!!!! That air vent scene had my heart pounding, the inter cutting from Dallas to the Xenomorph pursuing just ramps up tension & I've seen Alien countless times & played through the game multiple times .............. This was a great surprise for this to pop up in my recommended section You rocked it like Vasquez OTBD ...."Out there be Demons " PS , Jed kurzel's "chestburster " & "cabin on a lake" fit perfect as the ending really amazing work
x5 CiNEMA its a great movie man , it really is you captured tension so well , I was on the edge of my seat & I've watched Alien hundreds of times " You guys are good .. Real good .......THE BEST " lol
I'd watch this 232479654232 times back to back over having to sit through Covenant again. Seriously well done. You captured the essence and feel of the first film so well.
This was the best home made alien movie I've ever seen. I'm a huge fan of alien I though no one could make a similar remake. But you did you did the impossible. Great job keep doing stuff like this. I even got scared by the alien I'm subscribing.
WOW! That is awesome to hear! I think people believe the Alien can't be scary anymore, and I couldn't disagree more. I just don't think it's been put into the right hands that truly understand what makes the Alien a threat.
That was really cool! I loved how you used music from covenant, that music is probably the best and the opening where it was the alien covenant poster but instead it was the alien as a nebula! that awesome. There's a few side notes that i would have done to make the ending a little more climactic and used more audio from the movie especially when the count down begins and when she has to go back to abort it cause the alien is in her way. You can find the whole original nostromo countdown on here (i downloaded as my alarm clock) but overall this was good
I'll admit one thing, you've made two sequences from the original film that were tense (Dallas in the airduct, Ripley's mad dash to the shuttle) even more intense. Very impressive. :D
The cat was a great asset to the movie for sure, just like in the scene where Ripley is searching for Jonesy in the Nostromo cockpit in the end of the movie. Knowing that the alien was lurking around the ship and the noices could either be the cat or the alien. That kind of psychological mindgame is traumatizing.
Very cool. Best Aliens game ever made. Im a sucker for the single player survivor mode in the 2010 AvP game though too. The animation and sound effects are fantastic, and the gameplay is fluid, frenetic and brutal. Underrated game in my opinion. Worth owning just for the survivor mode alone. Think the survivor mode lasts for one hour, but i usually only survive for around 20 minutes.
THIS is what I wished what they did with Crew Expendable, a playable segment as Brett would have been awesome, I feel like they did not use Harry Dean Stanton enough.
13:00 Ok, obviously Dallas won and saved the crew !! The Alien was burned to death... it couldn't survive this... Great job Cap'tain !!! You did it. In the movies xenomorphs aren't so invincible : we can kill them with a good fire weapon or a flame thrower
Good video, I really like the potential here. If there is anything that will make it even scarier is to not show so much of the alien. A big key factor that creates true fear is to not knowing where or what the threat is up to. That really screws with the the viewers mind because they will not be prepared for what will happen next. As example instead of showing the creature on screen you show a field of view moving through the airshafts, that leaves out the knowledge of WHO's it is thats crawling because it could then be anyone or anything moving in there. Let the audience go mad by fear by just using the camera in a smart way and leaving out the key information will make people paranoid, creates panic and making them think. That is where most horror movies today fail, they spoil the audience.
I want to apologize for ads for in this video. I've tried everything to disable it, but you tube forces them into videos. This was never the way the video was intended to be viewed.

Well i will be damned. This might be one of the best fan made videos i ever saw. Bravo
This is amazing! Beautifully done. Thank you for this 💜💜💜💖
Weird that i haven't seen this before. Really great work
It must have taken you ages to put this together, really appreciate the work, good job matey.
Amazing video, must’ve taken ages to edit. Brilliant!
It took about 2 months to put together. Thanks for liking the film!
Very entertaining, thanks for creating and sharing.
How would you have your destiny reel film turn out? Would you have it episodic or just a one shot film?
Alien and Aliens are the only good ones in my opinion, Isolation was great though
Such amazing work! To the video editing, music, And the text placing. This Inspires me so much to do my own Game Movies.
BRAVO & ENCORE❣️🙏 Fantastic Production’s, Matey - Keep Goin’🤙😉
Awesome job. I really think the Last survivor is the best movie adaptation. Game looks stunning. Again great job.
Bellissimo lavoro! Complimenti e grazie per la tua passione
Damn... You have GODLIKE editing skills...
Thank you!
Omg I loved it!!!!!!!!!! GAH so beautiful tears up..good job mate!
Awesome! Very well done!
Thanks man!
I have no words of praise that you haven't already heard by now, Hx5 and crew. I loved the movie and the experience! Thank you for all your hard work and effort!
You are very welcome! Glad you've enjoyed the film!
This was amazing work. Too bad i didnt had the courage to watch the full video coz i wasnt even to play alien isolation coz of the eerie music and nervousness. But good job man.
Amazing edit, thank you!!
Omg! That a super good work!
Great vid..loved the way you blended video game graphics and some audio from the film..the original film is in my top ten ...thank you
You are very welcome!
x5 CiNEMA please try to make another
This is perfect good job my friend
This is stunning work - those alien animations are awesome and the detail and quality of the graphics really add to the atmosphere! It's so good that it could almost be deleted/alternate scene footage taken from the original movie. In fact I bet you could incorporate a lot of it seamlessly into the movie. Another masterpiece and I can't wait for your next one!
Thank you so much, Tycho. This film was a lot of fun to put together and I'm glad everyone is enjoying it as much as they are.
Dallas firing at the ladder to make sure if the alien is there was an amazing touch 😍💖
Woow, cool movie, you are one impressive artist. And where is that cute cat Jones? Fantastic job, well done !
You can't fit everything in, but he does get an honorable mention by Brett just before he dies. If that counts?! Thanks for liking the film.
Yes, that counts and I know it is not possible to put all in. You did fantastic job, I enjoyed movie a lot.
Subscribed :)
I want to say that to be called co-creator is honoring me pretty much. I'm convinced that x5 could have make it all himself and even better if he wouldn't be a die-hard xbox fan. So i had some unexpected luck to be part of this project whose dimensions i initally did not realize at all.
'Some footage, okay, no problem, i love Xeno filming'
Surely the Alien footage was not bad but without x5's awesome editing skills and creativity it would be probably quite boring. Working together can increase ambitions at times.
Has everybody noticed the many little details of video, audio and sound editing ? It's got a masterpiece that i never had expected to be no matter how many views it will finally get, a perfect movie/game hybrid. Great job, x5, and you are a very nice person too.
That is very kind of you to say, Max. Making this movie with you was a real pleasure. I have a feeling this won't be the last time we work together.
Max Headshot you say you "filmed" the Xenomorph ........................you FUCKING NAILED IT MAN
x5 CiNEMA YOU BOTH NAILED IT , THE MUSIC THE EDITING , AWESOME !!!!!!!
That air vent scene had my heart pounding, the inter cutting from Dallas to the Xenomorph pursuing just ramps up tension & I've seen Alien countless times & played through the game multiple times .............. This was a great surprise for this to pop up in my recommended section
You rocked it like Vasquez
OTBD ...."Out there be Demons "
PS , Jed kurzel's "chestburster " & "cabin on a lake" fit perfect as the ending really amazing work
Don't know why I never saw this comment in my feed! Thank you so much for liking the film.
x5 CiNEMA its a great movie man , it really is you captured tension so well , I was on the edge of my seat & I've watched Alien hundreds of times " You guys are good .. Real good .......THE BEST " lol
god, i love the first movie and the game so much
Excellent. Very tense! Great job.
I'd watch this 232479654232 times back to back over having to sit through Covenant again. Seriously well done. You captured the essence and feel of the first film so well.
Thank you! Like yourself, I wasn't a big fan of covenant either.
This was the best home made alien movie I've ever seen. I'm a huge fan of alien I though no one could make a similar remake. But you did you did the impossible. Great job keep doing stuff like this. I even got scared by the alien I'm subscribing.
Thank you Sam, we appreciate this !
WOW! That is awesome to hear! I think people believe the Alien can't be scary anymore, and I couldn't disagree more. I just don't think it's been put into the right hands that truly understand what makes the Alien a threat.
Playing this by yourself in the dark would be so intense
7:30 Excellent stuff!...I see they finally replaced that lower left flourescent tube outside the computer room hehe
Awesome job, loved it
Author, Author, Encore!!! Excellent work. Great stuff. Many thanks. 👍🏻👌🏻😄
You can find the whole original nostromo countdown on here (i downloaded as my alarm clock) but overall this was good
Muy bueno ! la peli sigue siendo impresionante en verdad, muy buen guion y actuaciones, ha resistido casi 45 años !
great job dude!! loved it
Awesome. Thanks for your work.
The ending was sad and I don't know why. But other than that this is AWSOME! Please make a 2nd part.
Super impressive!
I so totally would love to see aliens isolation into an actual movie or an actual TV series based on Amanda Ripley as well.
You 're a genius, love it.
I'll admit one thing, you've made two sequences from the original film that were tense (Dallas in the airduct, Ripley's mad dash to the shuttle) even more intense. Very impressive. :D
Thank you!
I love the freeze frame imagery of the xenomorph
This is great, but where's Jonesy? It's not the same without that stupid cat :)
1:44 ~ 1:48 Would you let me know which DLC contains this scene? I haven't seen before
After watching this movie on the game engine, you can truly understand what trials Helen Ripley went through.
Wow!! This was excellent!
Thanks!
This is greatly done !
I'm currently playing this gem of a game, your movie just managed to my whole experience even creepier.
Glad I could help!
Holy Fuck This is one of the MOST AMAZING fan made pieces for my Favoruite game of all time EVER! Thanks
Remarkable! Thank you
Thank you!
Nice work once again! I have a new request: Next can you do a reel game movie for Alien Blackout please
I watch this movie again, I have to say, True masterpiece!
Thumbnail is sooo badass!
Play the video at 2x speed and it looks more realistic and very cool.
Wow.....amazing....just amazing
Ah awesome...I need to play this again.
I want to apologize for ads for in this video. I've tried everything to disable it, but you tube forces them into videos. This was never the way the video was intended to be viewed.
...Outstanding effort all round Guys, Well Done Good Effort, Respects and Hats off to Ya...
Very Best Regards
